Lady chef and gardeners where very friendly and cheerful in the morning at breakfast. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The dog!
Reception staff where not welcoming and we felt like we where a bother to them being there even though we where the only guests staying. From the pictures and reviews we hoped for a better and friendlier atmosphere

it was a sweet lovely place and I loved playing with the dog
The toilet cistern in our room was faulty. They need to have it fixed. It took forever for the water to fill in the cistern after flashing.

Lot of Space inside and also the Common area was Great. Food was delicious-i would recommend the Beef Burger. The „Lost in Africa“ Team was very helpful and friendly. We felt welcome, already at the beginning of our stay.

Very nice hostel in Arusha with super friendly and helpful staff. People meet in the evening at a cool bar place to have dinner and some drinks.
The owner organized a safari to Serengeti and Ngorogoro and hiking trips to Mount Meru and the Great Rift Valley for us. It was an unforgettable trip for us. We felt like home when coming back from the trips to the hostel.

I stayed for one night after safari and really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was really nice and the hotel had a great vibe- it had the welcoming atmosphere of a hostel with but with cute individual rooms. They also serve food onsite, which was delicious. Hans also helped me arrange transport to the airport, which was very helpful.
- The beds were very firm
- While it didn’t bother me, all of the rooms face an elementary school, so you can hear the sounds of kids playing throughout the school day (I thought it was cute). There is also some street noise at night.

The rooms are like a real hotel, comfy beds!
The bar/gathering area is a great spot to hang out and meet other travellers.
The breakfasts were the best I had up to that point (6 weeks in Tanzania).
The staff and owners are friendly and helpful!
The showers weren’t always hot.
The first night was noisy with partiers and a dog barking but after I pointed this out, the managers dealt with it and the following nights were calm and suitable for sleeping.

Good location and great staff. Everyone was very friendly including the dog! Lisa was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed.
The hot water in our first room wasn’t working and the toilet was very hard to flush but as soon as we talked to reception they sent someone to check out the situation. It was also very noisy in the morning because of the neighbouring school.

Best place for staying in Arusha. Amaia, Zyanya and Hans will make you feel at home. Quiet, well located and amazing breakfast. Also you can book all kind of activities from there. Oh! And bar at friendly price! 10/10 for sure will come back next time!
