This is our 2nd stay at Hill view lodge and we absolutley love it, to watch the stars whilst lying in bed, to being woken by bird song, this is a dog friendly property so the use of the orchard and field definatley is an added bonus!. There is an excellent Indian restaurant approx 6 minute drive away. We will definatley be booking again. Thankyou Crystal.

Cosy well furnished place very peaceful overlooking a little orchid.
Could of done with a microwave and a charging lead for the Internet box.

the lodge is stunning. it's beautifully decorated and a stunning location. It also included tea and coffee and the host also left a bottle of wine in the fridge which was so kind.
the handmade items in the property were beautiful. I would recommend this place.
there is nothing that I didn't like. If I had to pick anything i would have personally preferred a firmer mattress. this is a personal choice.

Lovely apartment, clean and lovely country location. Very nicely furnished with well equipped.
TV, although we only watched for 10 mins, could have been bigger.

Location was excellent for us, wanted to stay longer, Crystel was an excellent host and very helpful, when we had a Little issue it was dealt with straight away, what more could you ask for?

Well designed studio lodge. We were both very comfortable here. Nicley decorated with homely touches. The small kitchen area was well fitted out and had a two ring hob and mini oven to make a simple hot meal. The dining table and dresser made for a nice dining area. Wine in the fridge was a welcoming sight! Bright, airy, and with a nice view through the orchard. Private parking in the grounds and the gate was always closed at night. Rural location in small hamlet so quiet and private. Small table and chairs just outside (west facing) which is a peaceful place to sit in the evening. Good mobile signal. The host ,Crystel, is very friendly and helpful.
The wifi was weak and didn't really work.

Decor was lovely, very artistic design features. Fabrics were beautiful colours.
Cooking facility very limited, would benefit from a curtain for the door at night

Hillview lodge is a wonderful dog friendly, large studio lodge overlooking an orchard in a rural location just a 20 min drive from Corsham and surrounding villages. Would highly reccomend.!

Sweet little self-contained studio.
A microwave would be good. The kettle needs descaling. The pull-out sofabed has mould on it.

The bathroom door was beautiful. The lodge was beautifully laid out and exceptionally clean.
The patio doors were difficult to lock once both fully opened.

Host was very kind and accomodating.
Accomodation and facilities were fantastic!
Location was central and easily accessible to a range of destinations and attractions in the area.

Very cosy, comfortable lodge and was made to feel very welcome with tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and wine! Doggies also very welcome too. A very spacious feeling lodge for a studio.

The location is peaceful, yet still close to places of interest. The host was really friendly and chatted to us to ensure that everything was ok. The property is lovely; beautifully decorated and very comfortable. To top it all off, it is dog friendly!
The door curtain was more of a net and although the property is not overlooked, it would feel more private with a thicker curtain.

Likes: spacious for 1 or 2 guests, decor done to a good standard, useful facilities e.g. fridge, countertop oven with hob (was it a microwave aswell?), good size bathroom, nice extra touches e.g. soap/lotion in bathroom and complimentary milk and biscuits, comfortable bed, quiet area.
Dislikes:
Wouldn't recommend for more than 2 guests.
Bathroom door doesn't provide 100% privacy due to shape/material.
TV at awkward angle and too small to watch from bed.
Access to the accommodation is via french/patio doors, which are covered with a net curtain that isn't really fit for purpose i.e. it isn't wide enough, doesn't provide privacy (although you are only overlooking the garden) and too much light comes through.

The thin curtain at the door made it uncomfortable, so we covered the door with towels at nights.

Really nice little studio. Nice location. Close to Leacock and Bath which are both worth a visit. Lovely host! We will come again.
Not a dislike, but note it is a studio, so all in one big room.

Spacious yet cosy, beautifully decorated and furnished living space. Very welcoming and accommodating host. Well equipped kitchen which meant that we could essentially self cater although there was a nice pub in the village had we wanted to eat out. Outside seating area overlooking the orchard which was perfect for relaxing in the evening. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area - used as a base to explore multiple interesting national trust properties all within 30 mins and also close to Bath and Bristol. Looking forward to coming back and have already recommended to friends and family.

Great parking and excellent welcome wine and milk.
No blinds on the roof lights so it could be a problem in the summer.

The host was very pleasant, available and friendly. She was very supportive
The heating was not effective. Facilities such as shops.
Transportation are out of reach. Also the advert on the
Site should be changed from 2 rooms apartment to a
single room or a studio. Saying two rooms apartment
Is very misleading.

Comfortable sofa and bedding
No curtain over main full length glass doors which was very poor regarding sense of privacy and ability to block light early in the morning to enable full sleep. This was mentioned in visitors book by previous guests too.
Also no dish washing detergent or any shampoo etc in bathroom. Mattress very soft.

Loved the location and the privacy of the outside space looking out across the orchard. The bed was very comfortable as well as the sofa bed. love the decor and the amount of space. Really did us well for the two nights. Plus the host was incredibly responsive and my brother said she was super lovely (unfortunately I didn’t get to meet her).
I felt things could be a bit cleaner, mainly the bathroom- there were cobwebs and under the sink was a bit dirty with a dirty cloth (I realise cobwebs are easy to miss but there was a spider in the shower).
The glasses (kitchen) weren’t as clean as expected on a stay. The shower door definitely needs replacing. We did have issues with the tv signal although I get that normally couples would be staying here and wouldn’t be using the tv much! I hope this is useful feedback for the host as overall I loved it and would recommend it as it’s perfect for a weekend away for a couple.
