The breakfast was nice and hot, tasted nice, on the breakfast menu it said there was pastries and yoghurt, but there wasn't any.
Not having our room serviced, on the second day,our bed was not made, bathroom cleaned, everything was left as it was when we went out.
The manager turn his back, on us as we were leaving, he was on his phone, he could of just smiled and make us feel welcome to return in future, would we stay here again, NO.

Beautiful setting. Great bar and restaurant with delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. Bedroom not set up for business users...desk too small, no suitcase stand. Exceptionally clean!
See above. Bathroom needed soap!

Friendly staff. Good fry up breakfast
The toilet hadn’t been properly cleaned and the toilet seat had come loose so fell off to the side when you sat on it. The bed mattress was awful, old and sagged. The pillows weren’t nice either.

The staff and decor was lovely. Great breakfast too.
The Pillows could do with being a little firmer but thats just personal preference.

The service we received was excellent
The bed was the most comfortable bed I had stayed in for a long.
The room was very clean
And the shower is amazing! So powerful and roomy !!
There's nothing to dislike! Just absolutely gutted, we never got to try the food in the pub as it looked and smelt divine

Not a lot really
No cooked breakfast and no heating in the rooms after asking repeatedly. No hot food at night as bar and kitchen was closed. Gad to get a Dominos and eat it in my freezing cold room

Very clean and modern rooms. You find everything you need (enough towels, shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, hairdryer, iron, tea and kettle etc.). I had a room with windows to the backyard which was quiet and cosy. The bar offered a great variety of drinks. I could not try the food/breakfast but I heard that the restaurant is very good as well. I am definitely coming back for my next business trip into the area. Strutt Arms has the best value for money of all hotels I tried around Belper so far. Thanks so much for the very pleasant stay.
The only thing missing to me was a bottle of water in the room.

Warm welcome
Easy check in and check out
Great restaurant below the rooms
Great breakfast with fab service
It just needed the heating turning up, it was a little cool in the whole building

I am a regular visitor to this area but had not stayed at the Strutt Arms before (we usually use Makeney Hall - but there was no availability). Really like the place - more lively, good Indian restaurant and bar on site, and a good breakfast included in the price. The room was really spacious. I had some concerns it would be noisy right next to the A6, but the the bedroom was well sound-proofed and not a problem at all. Regular bus service right out side.
No complaints at all. It delivered all that was needed and we'll come again. But, being really picky, the room was so well sized that it felt a bit bare. Perhaps a desk?

Nice room and nice staff. Breakfast was lovely
Cups in the room hadn’t been cleaned, tea/coffee stains on both cups. Chef was late turning up so had a long wait for breakfast

Very pleasant stay that is close to family we were visiting. Would definitely recommend and we will use again.
Unfortunately the milk did not taste good (I think it was off!) - this was rectified with our coffee and a new one done.

Comfortable, lovely decorated room.
Great for our overnight stop in this lovely area
Breakfast was disappointing ( no jams/ instant coffee as coffee machine not working).
Noisy road when window opened
8.0
Clean comfortable room, friendly staff, amazing Indian food in the evening.
Breakfast - Not enough variety. No tomato on full English, breakfast quite greasy. No butter for toast etc.
No wi-fi instructions, not sure if it was available in rooms and phone signal was quite poor.
7.0
Easy to find on the main road with plenty of parking. Friendly and efficient staff.
Background electric hum could be heard from a room at the rear of the building. Not loud but distracting during the night.

The room were wonderful, great size and spotlessly clean.
Evening meal was excellent and great value for money.
Breakfast was very poor and very disorganised, despite agreeing a time for our party of 7 no table had been set and at the buffet there were insufficient glasses/bowls etc for all of our party. We were constantly having to ask to cups, butter, jam etc. Tables were also not cleared after guests had left we had to look at a congealing breakfast the whole time we were there. Improve on the breakfast service and you will have a first class overall experience.

We opted for a cooked breakfast, which was not up to standard. Cereal/juice etc ok but tea/Water not boiling hot. Toast was not fully toasted / nor served separately. And certain items not hot. Young lady serving pleasant but not understanding not sure if she wasn't cooking too ! Evening meal ,now Indian based was acceptable and evening staff very pleasant but doubt if we will return,
Rooms well decorated but lack space for placement of any personal items, whilst showering/washing . Items on the floor- needs shelf or something. Room for a stool or a small cabinet

The hotel has been under new management since autumn 2022. The room had been relatively recently renovated before then and was quite spacious. The bathroom was good - toiletries provided, shower worked well - and there are electrical points by the bed and at a desk. TV had iPlayer, which was a surprise. The guy who was on duty during the day we arrived was a diamond. Continental Breakfast was included in the room rate - it wasn't spectacular (choice of toast top was nutella, marmalade or marmite, which seemed a bit of an odd mix) but enough nice things to get you going. The Indian pub food was awesome though :-)
For country folk, the location is a bit noisy - the main A6 road is on one side of the building, but there was an exhaust fan most of the day and night on the other side. Not the end of the world, but I thought the side away from the road would be quiet when I booked the room.

the guy who showed me round was super friendly and informative, had a funky moustache and gave me the Wi-Fi, showed me the night exit and around the room and was really nice. the room was super clean, loads of parking no issues at all!
the only small issue I have was check out at 10, I had stayed out late with my family the evening before and I struggled to get up, shower pack and get down to breakfast before checkout time as breakfast also ends at 10am (which is fair enough)

Location was perfect for us, very friendly and helpful staff, you must try their Indian restaurant the food was great.
The accommodation was brilliant, I would definatly stay at this hotel again.
(This hotel is now called the Elephant and Peacock, we drove past it due to looking out for The Strutt Arms )
There was nothing we did not like about this hotel.
