Super service but wrong location

I really like the service, the guy at reception was super nice and helpful. Beautiful person. The beds are super comfortable.

The location. And the construction around it. Was too far away from everything, the hostel is staying in a sort of area on construction, building up everything around it. It is not a real town, just constructions and buildings around it. I had to take taxis from the main village, Tanah Rata. Also all the good hikes are near Tanah Rata. I didn't properly looked at the location. The kitchen could be better equipped, to make you feel cozy and comfortable, with more glasses or cups (not plastic ones please), forks, spoons or plates.

Quiet and comfortable

Nice and quiet room, close to markets, clean common areas.

It's far from everything, so you might need a transport to move around. There's no Grab up there so taxis are your only option. But if you sort that, the place is worth

Nice for visiting the tea plantation and the mossy forest but otherwise very disappointing

It's really nice that you're able to get to the main attractions by foot. The bed was ok.

When I arrived I didn't get my booked room because the guests locked it and left with the key. The staff asked if I'm ok to take a different room which I was. She didn't tell me though that it was one with more bunkbeds in it and she also did not offer me to get it for a bit cheaper which I think would have been just fair. She just seemed really unmotivated. Other than that the bath situation is more than inconvenient. There is only one sink for I don't know how many people and if someone locks the main door for the bathroom noone else has any access to a toilet or shower. The space in general is very limited. I had no idea where to put my bag and there was no space to relax or sit down for a bit. The area of the hostel is dirty and there are not a lot of food options.

Very comfortable stay

Everything was great. Very clean. If I come to Cameron again, I will definitely come back to this hotel. The counter person was friendly. There is a locker in the room containing the capsules. A small USB fan near the plug. A big round hole on the wall to look outside (no curtain to cover it but I didn't mind). Upon checking in, you get a tag to enter the building and key for the locker.

The shower heater's hottest level is still a little cold but understandable because Cameron Highlands is cold. There is no lock on the capsule, just curtain but it wasn't a problem for me.

The worst experience you will ever have if you book this hotel

I literally did not like a single thing about this hotel. I have been to 5 countries and spent 30 days in different hotel and this one is the worst of all during my stay. The washrooms are so small that you hardly can take a shower, the hot shower the commit will not work, even the shower was broken and they did not fix it for us, they did not provide us towel and soap. we could not take shower for two days 😡

There is no one at the reception to help you, even if you call them they will still not come and solve your issue. I even contacted booking.com to help me but they still did not come.

better book a hostel in the center

bed was comfy.

the hostel is located 15 min car ride from the center. taxi costs 30R one way. grab barely available in CH. the staff was never around and not helpful at all. felt like the bathroom got never cleaned while i was there (3 nights!!) it was freezing cold in the hostel + no warm water to shower.

Those want to Enjoy Tea Farms, shud not stay its far, those want Lavender Garden its best

Cleaning and all new beds, Cold & Hot Water Dispenser,

Location and price. Its new place so no cheaper food around, foe which need to travel to central side. And as per location, the room rate should cheaper. There is no cooking facility. One blanket not enough to get warmer

far away from main town

hostel was clean, I’d recommend this place if you have your own car/scooter. otherwise, you’re better off staying in town of Tanah Rata.

this hostel is out of the town center so be aware. it was very hard to find any tour/scooter rental services in the neighborhood. & the host wasn’t much help either. no fridge to put my food away
