Perfecte locatie voor een doorreis

Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Omdat de luxe cabin nog vrij was, automatisch een gratis upgrade gekregen. Cabin was van alle gemakken voorzien. De ligging was erg goed. Mooi uitzicht op zee. Stavanger op klein uurtje rijden. Voor ons op doorreis de perfecte locatie.

Geen minpunten waargenomen.

I would recommend this facility and will stay here again.

Currently food is not available. The facility is centrally located to public transportation and food options. The owner/inn keeper is friendly and helpful.

Renovations are underway and promise to improve the facility and appearance.

Schöner Blick - Bungalow Beschreibung ist aber irreführend!

Der Bungalow lag wunderschön mit Blick auf den Fjord. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal! Parken ist auf den Gelände möglich. Der Besitzer ist freundlich und man konnte sich bei Fragen an Ihn wenden.

Leider ist die Booking Beschreibung nicht zutreffen, sondern irreführend. Der Deluxe Bungalow hat keine 3 verschiedenen Räume, sondern es ist alles in einem. Ebenso gibt es KEIN eigenes Bad! (das wird erst ersichtlich beim Punkt: Einrichtung) Der Platz für 4 Personen ist sehr eng. Für längere Aufenthalte, z.B. für Familien ist es nicht geeignet! Insgesamt ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht gut! Die sanitäre Situation (Gemeinschaftsbad) war leider eingeschränkt. Es gab nur 1 Dusche und 2 Toiletten bei den Herren. Hier fehlten auch die Toilettenrollenhalter, sodass das Klopapier am Boden steht, das ist nicht sehr hygienisch! Die Steckdosensituation in den Kabinen ist sehr ungünstig. Die eine Nachtischlampe lässt sich nur betreiben, wenn man den Kühlschrank aussteckt. Die nicht vorhandene Isolierung des Fensters führt morgens zu einem sehr stark beschlagenen Fenster! Wünschenswert wären Vorhänge die den Raum tatsächlich auch verdunkeln.

The owner was a real host. He was absolutely honest in his dealings with us. He had a great deal of knowledge regarding the local area.. He was cheerful and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful time.

There is very limited dining in the village nearby.

A perfect place for good price and great facilities. I would recommend it.

First and foremost hospitality and welcoming was great. A place for whatever needs for short stays and cheap. The kitchen was spesifically clean and they frequently clean all the time.

Charming camping site with cozy cabins

- super nice owner, made us feel right at home - old buildings, but well maintained - beautiful view of the fjord - cozy cabin, well equipped

- facilities were a bit dated - not so much capacity (two toilets, one shower each for men / women) and showers not so practical (not really space to hang your stuff without it getting wet)

Excellent price / performance ratio. Very nice and accommodating owners. Despite the fact that the hostel is located in the middle of the development, you have a feeling of considerable privacy. Excellent location on the famous road number 13.

Cosy simple cottage

Cosy little cottage. Has what you need. Clean. And some charming details like old beautiful dinner plates. Trying to fit four people in is -well - doable, but not recommended. Old fashioned and still charming. Lovely view from some of the cottages. Right by the sea. Fair value. It's cheap compared to other camping cottages. Recommended if price is a concern. Nice area if you take day trips, and like hiking. Super market close by. Owner was helpful with advice and tips for activities and places to visit. ETA: When booking this accomodation through booking.com this bungalow was suggested for 4 adults. As owner has explained in his response, this is not ideal. I suggest 3 adults at the most for the deluxe bungalow.

Very run down. Overgrown and maintained to the minimum required standard. Most potential for improvement is the little dock by the sea. This could be so awesome, but the dock is partially closed and falling apart, overgrown in algae, dirty and only has an improvised ladder tied to the dock with rope. Not great if you want to swim. Overall this place is cheap, and it shows.

Very good

Nice location at the lake, and friendly host who offered possibility to upgrade to a bigger cabin with more rooms, which was more suitable to stay with 3 Kids. This cabin had great views on the lake ( the one with the 3 bedrooms). House was very clean. Beds were good!

Its a simple camp site, but good value for money, so not much to add.

breakfast not included since cabin with kitchen so we made our own....also table chairs outside to have breakfast on. Nice surrounding and close to shop . Close to other atractions in Ryfylke and tracking areas

Superb

The cabin was a bit small but has everything we needed for one night. Everything was smooth from check-in to checkout. The host looked angry at first 😁 but he was straightforward and very helpful.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we are back in Hjelmeland.

Very friendly and helpful host who makes an effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are nice and very clean. The location is convent close to the ferry terminal with a nice view of the water and a big garden.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff

Very friendly, the manager Jarik (Jaroslaw) was very approachable and helpful, he even upgraded us, as we booked a room with twin beds and he only had a double bed room available, so he gave us a single room free of charge. Can't recommend enough!

Good bungalow stop

The view and place were very nice, right by the water. The bathrooms seemed clean and taken care of.

The Double bed in the bungalow we were staying in was very small overall and the provided blanket (one for two people) was really much too small, unfortunately.

Perfect location! great and kind hosts.

great location by the fjords and easily accessible to the main Highway from Odda to Stavanger. It was a perfect stop to rest up after a long day of hiking and continuing my journey. the hosts even upgraded my room with a private shower. super nice of them.

Calm place on the country side.. Lake view cabins with access to waters, friendly hosts.. highlights like preikestolen etc are well accessible by car (approx. 1 hr drive) Would definitely recommend

Good location, reasonable price, and Best Staff!! Jaroslaw was always ready to help me! He did everything that I wanted. The village is small and quiet, good to look around after dinner.

Exceptional

This is not just staying overnight. This is an experience. Staff is extremely friendly and makes sure you have all you need. You can borrow fishing rods or bikes. The view is beautiful and the location perfect to get the ferry. Highly recommended.

Nice cabins, very friendly staff. Nice location next to ferry. Cabins heated on arrival. Great as pass through location. Price was (for Norwegian standards) really acceptable.

Unclear what reception is/how to check in. Cabins are basic, but if you don't mind basic great for a cheaper location in Norway.

We had a really nice stay and a warm welcome with cookies and friendly words. Jarek has been a great host and provided many ideas for hikes and things to do in the area. The cabin is clean and very cosy and there is a supermarket right around the corner. Great place to stay for the Preikestolen hike or other trips in the area! Big recommendation!

Comfortable & warm place with good owners. We was in good & clean room with shower and toilet. Have free place for car. We so enjoy this place after long way, so leave there with sad.

Idyllic location with good views. Wonderful care.

Excellent place and excellent care. High recommend for all seasons. You can do many activities or simply disconnect looking at the landscape. Cabin is comfortable and cozy. The owner is very kind.
