Zachody słońca nad Le Morne

Najbardziej podobał nam się dostęp do tarasu na dachu obiektu, z którego podziwialiśmy przelatujące nad głowami nietoperze, zachody słońca, a później rozgwieżdżone niebo. W ciągu dnia służył nam jako taras słoneczny z leżakami do opalania, pufkami do odpoczynku, jacuzzi do schłodzenia się, czy stołem do gier planszowych. Cześć tarasu jest zadaszona. Na tarasie znajduje się także wc oraz zaplecze kuchenne. Pokoje znajdują się na parterze - są komfortowe i gustownie urządzone z prywatną łazienką (z dostępem do ręczników, kosmetyków oraz papieru toaletowego), klimatyzacją, lodówka, ekspresem do kawy, sejfem i moskitierą. Pokoje są co jakiś czas sprzątane, można poprosić o wymianę ręczników. Z gospodarzem można się skontaktować w razie potrzeby przez Whatsapp. Po obiekcie przechadzają się zwierzęta gospodarza - pies i kot.

Mikrofalówka powinna znajdować się w sekcji kuchennej dla zwiększenia komfortu przygotowywania posiłków (obecnie znajduje się na tarasie na dachu). Dla osoby o wzroście 1,6m blat w kuchni jest zbyt wysoko i przygotowywanie nawet najprostszej potrawy jest dość skomplikowane. Leżak na półtorej osoby na prywatnym tarasie przy basenie mógłby zostać zastąpiony dwoma osobnymi. W pokojach jest bardzo duszno, a na tarasie przy basenie gryzą komary niezależnie od pory dnia. Taras na dachu obiektu jest dość kiepsko oświetlony, ale można poradzić sobie lampionami solarnymi.

Great room and lovely view from the rooftop

Great house, great pools, great staff and everything was clean and nicely prepared. Also, Mathieu is a very lovely guy!

Everything was nice! If I could wish for one thing it would be some cutlery in the rooms :-)

This hidden gem provided an unforgettable retreat, boasting a superb location, an outstanding host, breathtaking rooftop views, and a refreshing pool. I found it impossible to find fault with any aspect of my stay. First and foremost, the location of Les Terrasses du Bénitier was perfect. Situated in a prime spot, it offered the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility. Surrounded by natural beauty, it provided a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Additionally, the proximity to a well-stocked supermarket and excellent restaurants within walking distance made it incredibly convenient for both self-catering and dining out. The host Mathieu was outstanding as well as his cleaner. From the very beginning, Mathieu's warm and welcoming nature made me feel right at home. His dedication to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay was evident in every interaction. Mathieu's attention to detail, knowledge of the area, and willingness to go the extra mile truly set him apart. His recommendations for local attractions and culinary delights enhanced my overall experience, allowing me to explore the best of what the region had to offer. The rooftop views at Les Terrasses du Bénitier were nothing short of breathtaking. Stunning panoramas, and awe-inspiring sunset skies with vibrant colours Furthermore, the pool at Les Terrasses du Bénitier offered a refreshing respite

On occasions some neighbours had loud barking dogs - but this is a small point and did not detract from the overall experience

Great location. View over the bay was stunning! Nice little pool and rooftop jacuzzi! Would highly recommend! Do the Lagoon Flight over the bay, should be on everyone's bucket list!

Exceptional

Very nice place with an awesome host that really cares about you and that also cares about offering a clean place to stay. The room and the surroundings are cleaned daily. Both the Terasse and the roof top are perfect places to chill. Moreover, you have an amazing view from the roof top.

Exceeded my expectations!

I’m so glad I found this house, it’s absolutely stunning! They thought of everything when setting up the accommodation. It’s in a fantastic location, a few minutes’ walk from restaurants and grocery store. Stunning sunset views from the rooftop.

Superb

Really nice apartment and building filled with nice small touches. Beautiful and modern with a lovely terrace and a lovely rooftop with great swimming pool and great views. Matthieu was a kind and willing host and the cleaner Sandya was really sweet too. The facilities were great and the kitchen made for a great stay allowing you to also save money.

There were only a couple of problems with the accommodation. First was that there was no sign on the building to let you know that you had arrived there. The second was that it was difficult to arrange transport if you did not have your own car, which is more of a problem with the quiet location of la gaulette than the accommodation itself.

great location and facilities. the room is in a gorgeous building with a beautiful rooftop and pool area. there is everything you need in the rooms and they were very clean and tidy. there is a big supermarket within walking distance, and some great restaurants, we had one of our best meals in Mauritius at Frizzy around the corner. highly recommended.

note that there is no sign/name on the property so it might be confusing to find. look for the big blue door.

We would stay here again!

Stylish and aesthetic, swim and splash pools, terrace with all-round stunning views, lovely outdoor kitchen.

Some couples might find privacy an issue due to the shared facilities. It wasn't a problem for us though.

Great stay, outdoor cooking facilities were good, pool was nice and refreshing, Matthieu was always on hand, had great recommendations and always friendly, as was the lovely housekeeper. Location is great for accessing the wonderful south west of Mauritius. We would suggest that hiring a car is a must - we originally were not planning on it but soon realised it’s the easiest way to get around the island and cheaper than taxis everyday.

Some more soundproofing between rooms would of been nice.

We loved it!!

The host is a cool guy and has a lot of contacts for privat/not overcrowded tours or local highlights. He can suggest good places for food and activities. The house was very nice and we really liked the rooftop terrace with a great view! Everything was very clean and the mate comes every day to make up your room. This was our absolute favourite of all the acommodations we had in MU - we will come back!

Sound insulation between the rooms is fairly existing, so bring earplugs. But still ok if you have the plugs. :)

Enjoyed relaxing here for a few days while exploring Le Morne and the local area.

Lovely accommodation located within walking distance of some good restaurants which were recommended by the host. The host was friendly and helpful. Fab rooftop terrace with panoramic views.

Exceptional

Very nice, well equipped room with direct access to the pool. Large roof top terrace with a jacuzzi and beautiful 360-degree views over the see and the nearby Mont Brabant. Super tasty homemade breakfast. Very nice and helpful owners. I can highly recommend this cozy place.

The best decision!

Staying with Mathieu and Anne-Claire was the best decision! They are very kind and generous hosts, looking after you perfectly - organizing rental cars, taxi rides, kite lessons and much more. And... Anne-Claire makes the best pancakes ever! We stayed there for three weeks and felt at home from the first day. SO: If you happen to stay in La Gaulette, there is no better place to find. Thank you very much again!

Awesome guesthouse

Awesome guesthouse. Anne Claire and Mathieu are really kind persons,helped us with hike planning,with scheduling kite surfing lessons. Anne Claire breakfast...delicious! House is supernice, clean swimming pool prior your room. Jacuzzi on the rooftop. We booked 4 nights,prolonged to 8. In comparison with rest of our Mauritius accomodation(we used 7 gueshouses/hotels during our stay),this was our top place and bechmark. One more thank you Anne Claire and Mathieu!

That I have to move to different part of island:-)
