a wonderful, relaxing holiday, that left nothing to be desired

It is a beautiful, quiet accommodation in the middle of nature. The host Viviana is very friendly and made our stay a great experience. Every morning we got fresh eggs from the local chickens and we were allowed to harvest lettuce from the garden. we'd love to come back

Casa preciosa con excelentes instalaciones, habitación cómoda y amplia, todo muy limpio y bien decorado.Viviana encantadora, nos enseñó todas las instalaciones.

El mal tiempo que hacía, una pena porque no pudimos disfrutar de piscina y jardines fantásticos.

tudo encantador, voltaremos, sem dúvida.

O café da manhã delicioso: vários tipos de pães, manteiga, geléias, ovos feitos na hora, com produtos das próprias galinhas, pastéis de nata, frutas (inclusive tamarilho, que eu não conhecia; caqui com textura de maçã, docinho,).Todo dia uma surpresa gostosa. A propriedade tem aves de várias espécies, coelhos, gatinhos, só para exposição, mas são animais bem tratados, praticamente soltos, horta, árvores frutíferas. preocupação com o meio ambiente. A Viviana, que nos atendeu, fez tudo para nos agradar.

A quinta fica um pouco longe do centro. Acesso somente de carro.

In short, highly recommended!

We stayed 4 nights at Quinta do Candeeira. A very nice location in the countryside a 35 minute drive from Porto. A small-scale location (max 8 guests) with a beautiful apartment for us (two bedrooms and bathroom) The apartment was very stylishly decorated and beautifully finished. The welcome by friendly hostess. A quinta with a story: sustainable (hot water from solar panels) and vegetables, eggs and fruit from our own country. The breakfast was not lavish but good coffee and delicious fried fresh eggs and fruit, everything very neatly taken care of.

Not a very big item but a convex mirror at the exit to better see the traffic coming from the right and left:)

Exceptional

Viviana was a wonderful host, so friendly and helpful. She gave a fabulous tour of the gardens, and the heated salt water pool was a lovely surprise. Amazing value for money. I'd highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. What a superb place this is. Viviene, the host, was super nice and really accommodating she gave us a tour of the amazing gardens with so much fruit and vegetables growing there. There are also chickens, geese, peacocks, rabbits, pheasants & fish. The tennis court is superb with quality racquets and balls provided. Breakfast was lovely. The beds are super comfy and the showers great. You feel very well looked after staying here. Stay here and I assure you, you won't be disappointed.

Our stay fulfilled exceeded our expectations for a weekend getaway.

We felt like we were in the country with tall trees, gardens, a grand mansion, fountains and a pool. Viviane was a great hostess.

Amazing farm in a quite and peaceful area. The room was huge and very comfortable. Swimming pool and court tennis available anytime. Breakfast was very fresh and good. Staff was very nice.

Top quality in everything. Owner has excellent taste with elegant but simple settings. Impeccable house , pool, tennis court, grounds. Lovely experience. Recommended for a couple or a family.

We didn’t want to leave !

Freshly cooked eggs from their own chickens and fruit from the garden . Peaceful location and generous hospitality and the most comfortable bed and luxurious shower .

Exceptional

Arrived for 2 nights stay and noticed how clean and spacious everything is, garden, swimming pool, tennis court, terrasses, parking, rooms, stairwell.. and how friendly and welcoming the hosts are. I had a large and very clean room with lot of space. Being the only guest on arrival, the owner and manager invited me to have a great Portuguese dinner with them on the terrace while the sun was setting. A very very nice place to stay. I am looking forward going back and spend some more time there.

An experience like no other, we were so happy to have stayed here. Obrigada, Viviana & Carlos!

It was a true pleasure staying at the quinta. Viviana and Carlos, our hosts, were above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experience: showing us around the property, sharing with us their knowledge on plants, farm animals and more, offering us to try new and delicious fruits (like a melão-pera, who new?), etc. The salt water pool was at a delicious temperature, the gardens were so beautiful and the bed, super comfortable. The location is very close to the beautiful medieval castle of Santa Maria da Feira, a must, and to other places of interest like Aveiro and of course, Porto. It was so nice to have fresh-laid eggs for breakfast, and to wake up to the sound of church bells and roosters! Finally, it was not clear on the description if we were going to have access to a private bathroom, but we did: the property has four bedrooms upstairs and two full bathrooms. If you rent only one room, they leave the one next to it free, so you don't have to share a bathroom... convenient!

For me this was part of the experience and didn't mind it at all, but do bring a pair of earplugs if you don't want to wake up super early to the sound of the early roosters ;)

Lovely stay with a very kind host!

Nice, warm welcoming. We got a tour of the in- and outside of the Quinta. The room is very modern and spacious. The bathroom is seperated from the room, but they make sure you are the only ones using the bathroom. Maybe it’s an idea to put an extra door in the hallway so the bathroom becomes totally private. Now, you have to walk through the hallway to get to the bathroom. The outside is very lovely. It’s a little farm with a lot of animals. The swimming pool was warm. There was also a pool table. You get a key of the gate and the side door, so you can get in at any time.

The breakfast was’t extensive, but it was nice!

Peaceful retreat

Very nice property in a restored home. Very large & comfortable room. Friendly & helpful staff. Very quite & peaceful

A little bit isolated location - would need to drive to get to restaurants or shops. We did hear what we think was the owner yelling at the receptionist after breakfast which was a little unpleasant
