Nice place just an unfortunate maintenance issue

Close to Bourg, very traditional

Loose shutters on outside of windows, windy night no sleep as shutters continually smashing against the wall all night.

Pas mal. A refaire !

Emplacement est pas mal.

Mais avec une fille de 4 ans : pas évident de la faire marcher pour aller à pied jusqu au funiculaire. Mais ça se fait surtout avec le bus la ronde qu on a su par la suite.

Étape sympathique

Accueil très sympathique du couple qui gère l'hôtel. La chambre nécessiterait un petit rafraîchissement mais était propre et les lits étaient confortables.

Un peu loin de la gare à pied, notamment lorsqu'on est chargé : comptez 20 à 25 minutes (plutôt que les 15 minutes affichées sur le site de l'hôtel).

Well run family owned hotel, ideal for a stop over in Bourg St Maurice pre or post a rail journey.

Comfortable bed, quiet room, nice restaurant, friendly and helpful owner.

Great, stop on way to ski resort of Tignes .

Very alpine, staff were very friendly and accommodation was great. Beds were super comfy

Charmante étape d’un WE de ski

Très bon accueil par ce jeune couple chaleureux et dynamique. Repas avec une carte variée et de qualité. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel.

Nous n’avons pas eu la chance, de nos amis, de bénéficier de ces belles chambres refaites à neuf avec beaucoup de goût et d’originalité

Super adresse. Je recommande

Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et attentifs. La chambre venait juste d'etre rénovée et était très belle. La déco de noel dans l'hotel et sur les facades était aussi très belle. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié avec de bons produits locaux. Nous avons diné au restaurant de l'hotel. Le menu offrait beaucoup de choix et les plats que nous avons pris étaient délicieux.

Exceptional

The location is just outside Bourg St Maurice in a rural and authentic setting the hosts make it a lively place and are very hospitabel. They make you feel very welcome. The diner and breakfast are very good! Loved it here!!

Delicious evening meal. Shame about the flies at breakfast.

A very pleasant, traditional auberge. Peaceful and comfortable. Friendly staff. Evening meal was really delicious.

Unfortunately breakfast was ruined for us by the enormous number of flies, not just flying around the dining room but also crawling all over the food, which had no covers. We ate very little and made a sharp exit as a result.

Great stay in Borg Saint Maurice.

Quiet beautiful clean old style hotel off the main road. Staff were excellent and welcoming. Food in the restaurant was excellent and good value as was the breakfast. Will stay here again if possible!

Très agréable!

The Breakfast was very good. The room was very nice with a comfy bed. Slept like a rose. The bathroom was a little outdated and the shower leaked but it was fine, it was a very pleasant place to stay for a night, dinner was fine too!

Food and service need to upgrade.

Quiet. Safe for the single female traveller. 'Netflix' helped to pass time in the bedroom in the evening.

Weak breakfast as poor quality. Evening vegetarian dish was overpriced for a basic rice dish! Only one choice for vegetarians. Staff need to learn basic English to be more well mannered towards its international clientele. Relying on just the French language in Europe is old fashioned. No lift for the heavy suitcase.

perfect for 1-2 quiet nights in a typical Savoie house

typical savoie house, the welcoming was short but pleasant, possibility to dinner there, quiet room, excellent bedding, the room got the essential inside, wifi ok

the room we booked was a bit too small, the room decoration was dated and not enough lighting and plugs.

Perfect for our needs , never used the restaurant but it was very busy so must be good as clearly used by locals

exactly as described - perfect for one night stop over before heading up to the slopes .

receptionist clearly not happy with us arriving early - we only asked if we could check in early with little expectation . Actually let us but made it clear he wasn’t happy with us .

A pleasant place to stay.

Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Location was 20 minutes easy walk from town centre. This was fine for us but if someone can’t walk far it could be inconvenient. A taxi was circa £10 but there were buses too although we didn’t use them

There was no wall bracket for the shower head. Although bathrooms were en suite the WCs were separate. Not a problem but the door needed repairing where the handle was missing.

Good base for exploring

Tranquil location and excellent staff. Good place to stay for day trips to local ski resorts, if you have a car. The food quality and service for evening meals, if you want them, in the small friendly dining room are outstanding. Thank you chef, Mattieu and Marie!

Just do it (just go)! It is nice!

This is a very beautiful place. It is "far" from the train station, but the hotel staff can take you from the station to home. The staff is very friendly, and we could also speak in Portuguese (my mother language) with Raquel (staff), which is impossible to be best if you want to feel at home!

The family room (a 3 bed room) has the toilet out of the room, which is something to me, who wakes up in the middle of the night to use it. Nonetheless, it was clean and had no problem.
