Great place to stay

Very well presented room. Bed was very comfortable and liked the texture of the sheets. Facilities great as well. Clean bathrooms and kitchen area. Will definitely stay again in future.

Convenient location and friendly establishment

The location was great and the staff were very helpful, especially Laura, who made sure I was being served and she was very friendly which made me feel at ease and at home.

One of the best historic family-friendly hotels we've stayed at.

We booked a night here on our roadtrip up north travelling with our 2yo. From the warm hospitality, the complimentary welcome drink, and great atmosphere we knew we landed in the right place. The hotel has Incredible old world charm tastefully decorated and was exceptional value for money. Definitely not a bland, modern hotel thankfully, an increasingly rare find these days. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates an historic space beautifully remodelled that's run by a fantastic couple. The excellent restaurant, live jazz, kitchenette with free coffee, milk (Inc non dairy) treats , cereal etc was fantastic.

The history of the place and location. The staff were absolutely amazing as they went far beyond expectations.

A happy family weekend

Quaint room. Great breakfast makings available. Proximity to train and bus. Great dining rm meals and snacks. Old-fashioned feel and appearance.

No abc on TV in rm 1. The bath base is very slippery when used for showers. Adhesive strips for grip, and a handrail, wd make it much safer.

Hotel itself was OK, food was nice

Temperature was plus 40 degrees and no air conditioner working despite booking.com advertising air conditioned We ended up booking other accomodation last minute and waiting on full refund

Great value for money

Location, easy check in, great sized room for a family and great value for money. Very quiet and peaceful for above a pub.

Good old fashion country accommodation, food, bed, shower what more do you really need for one night.

The Property has just had Change of owner ship, the staff there is young fresh and full of life more then happy to assist in what ever way the cold to make you feel comfortable. The place defiantly has potential, but it also does have that country charm of pub accommodation.

Poor

Doors out to balcony from bedroom were not lockable, needed locks. Where fixed after 2 days. Never realized it had shared bathrooms. Never mentioned, no photos.

Short and sour

We asked for a ground floor room , because I have recently had knee replacement surgery. All accommodations was on the first floor with toilet and bathroom facilities elsewhere

great little pub

stuffy room, 36c day, no air-conditioning and fan only working on medium speed. staff were kind enough to bring an industrial fan into my room which sounded like a plane taxiing but better than no fan. can't leave open door to balcony as there was no screen and other guests use balcony. had to sleep on a wet towel. however in winter it might have been ok.

Nothing.

Our room was dirty the ceiling fan was coated in dust and dust on the door and French door frames, nowhere to hang clothes, the bed felt like the springs were coming through the cover and evertime we moved it creaked, the road was noisy, food was ordinary (chicken snitchel under cooked), wrong order (over charged), there was a party in the restaurant where we were seated which was so loud we could not hear each other across the table also it was very hot and extremely uncomfortable. I am Asmatic and the dusty room was not good coupled with the guest in room 2 smoking on the balcony whilst we had our door open to try and get some breeze. We will never stay again and would not recommend to anyone.
