Wonderful stay in nature

Lila and her family are very welcoming and the food is exceptional, I really recommend the place. In the middle of nature and wild life, birds and squirrels everywhere :) take a meal if you can, you will not regret it !

Beautiful authentic srilankan family home.

Lovely family, very good food, quiet location. The family booked elephant safari for me which was also incredible. It is in walking distance the Lion Rock, but you can also get tuk tuk at the bottom of the road.

The room and the garden are beautifully, and the location is perfectly close to the Lion rock! Lila and her family are extremely welcoming and warm people who made us feel right at home from the start. Lila also cooks amazing breakfasts and dinners. I would really recommend staying here! You can also book a scooter if you want to go around. Incredible value for money all around, thank you for a great time Lila!

Sehr herzliche, hilfsbereite Familie :-) Fantastischer Dschungel-Ausblick von der Terrasse. Bequemes Bett mit großflächgem Moskitonetz. Großes Bad und Warmwasser. Lecker Essen und zwischendurch Tee. Free Wifi. Sehr günstig. Spaziergang zur Hauptstraße mit Läden oder Familie hat Tuktuk oder organisiert Fahrt.

Merveilleux séjour chez une famille aux petits soins

J’ai passé un excellent séjour au côté d’une famille accueillante et bienveillante ! Ils m’ont organisé et surtout facilité toutes les visites (Rocher du lion, safari, massage etc), notamment grâce à leur tuk tuk mis à disposition. La nourriture était très bonne et le cadre super joli, je recommande vivement 😁

Amazing stay! The best experience

It was honestly one of the best stays in Sri Lanka. The most amazing host family, most amazing food and home. I could not recommend this enough! The house is so filled with love and Lila is so kind and such an amazing cook. Her son and daughter are the sweetest and I loved played with them! And the dad even woke up at 5am just to take us to sigiriya rock, so Kind! Besides that the room is also great, very clean, had a fan and a mosquito net so we didn't get bitten We loved waking up in the middle of nature with all the birds and green surrounding us The location is also great, 10min walk to the main road/center!

Affordable and peaceful

Peaceful and quiet. AC was good and very very clean ! Owner has a tuktuk so it’s useful (you have to let him know when you need it ahead of time) Family is very nice :) We had a few night meals at their place and we really like the dinner. They also had a mosquito net They only had 1 room, so very private.

Honestly for this price, I don’t think we can say anything for this place ! but here are a few details : -Room is a bit small and no lights, unless you want to open the wood window and let the mosquitos in. -Family knows very few English words, so you will need google translation often. But they try hard :) -Wifi was blocking Facebook and Instagram, which is the main app we get in touch with our family. -General info about Sigiriya : Pick me App doesn’t work here and you cannot walk when the sunlight is out, as there are many wild elephants in the area. -That being said, take into count that the place is 15 minutes walk in the forest from the main road. So you will have to either walk or plan the tuktuk if you need to go to main road (300 rupees)

Perfect place with nice family

Very friendly family. Good breakfast and tasty dinner (although vegetarian). House located far from roads so it is calm and peaceful there. Fresh air and nature around, very nice for walking.

Near to Lion’s Rock in a perfect environment. we spent 4 nights here and I was our favorite place in Sri Lanka. The family is lovely and make traditional food of Sri Lanka with firewood. The room has everything you want : clean, A/C, bed comfy and little terrace where you can eat peacefully. Never forget this family with big and good heart ! Also the daughter, we wish you all the best for your life you are a very nice !

The most authentic stay we had so far. This lovely family only has one room so you literally staying with them. It's a quite, lovely place in the middle of the green. We felt very welcomed, breakfast and dinner always made with love.

the best place to stay in sigiriya! great value for money.

auch a clean and comfortable room with a huge washroom. the family is so sweet. everyday you can just sit and hear and watch nature - we stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it so much. really good food as well! comfy large bed and good aircon.

the Wi-Fi was a bit slow sometimes. the road to the guesthouse (the last 200 m. or so) is a dust road

Perfect stay!

The family is absolutely wonderfull - welcoming and incredibly helpfull. The homestay lies within beautiful natural sourroundings and the small porch is great for having breakfast, dinner, etc. The family makes amazing Sri Lankan food!! As it is situated in the beautiful Sri Lankan nature, you will need a car/ride to get there, or for the family to pick you up with TucTuc. Breakfast/Dinner 10/10 Value for money 10/10 The homestay family 10/10

we have stayed for 2 nights at this home stay and had an amazing time. Its such a lovely family that is taking care of you continuously. Despite the fact that not all of them speak perfect English, communication was never a problem and you could always feel how welcoming they are and how important it was for them to make you feel as comfortable as possible. We had real local breakfast (be careful it could be spicy) and it was the best breakfast we had on our trip. One evening we also took some vegetarian dinner (the family is vegetarian) and it was just amazing. I can fully recommend to stay with this lovely family

We had only short stay here but still we felt really welcome by the family. All of them are helpful, friendly and kind. Room was neat and clean with big comfy bed, big plus for us was hot water in the bathroom. In the morning we get traditional sri lankan breakfast, very tasty. Hope we will visit again when we are in Sigiriya. 🌺

Great home stay, highly recommended :)

The whole family is really nice and they’re great hosts. Communication is very easy. The rooms feature air conditioning and hot water in the bathroom. Although we checked in late in the evening, we had dinner cooked by the mom of the house. She’s a great cook! Best lentil dal we had so far :) in the morning we had a rich and tasty breakfast before we got a ride to the sigiriya rock. We can highly recommend this home-stay as service and kindness are one of a kind :)
