Staff were very helpful. A lovely place to base your stay to do top safaris in Tanzania. The outdoor garden is divine and a relaxing place to spend your time. Manager is very accommodating and helpful. Ten out of ten folks.
Leaving.

It’s a simple but very nice place. The staff really makes it special and is the highlight of it. Not a lot of guests when I was there, but as the other reviews said the food is excellent and overall a great value!
As others have said it’s not walking distance to the center but it’s quiet and a Tuk tuk to the main area is less than $2

It was secure and the hosts were amazing! It was halfway between the African Cultural Center and the Masai Market.
It was a little noisy due but nothing the hosts had control over.

It was clean, very relaxed/laid back atmosphere. Dinners were delicious. The staff are very helpful. I was with 2 kids and they loved it: plenty of entertainment: billiard table, football, playstation etc.It was easy to get to the city centre by bajaji (tuc tuc) for only 700 schillings about 10min drive. Next we were going by long distance buses to Kigoma, it was my first time travelling by buses in Tanzania so I asked Benson to sort out tickets for us. He did and on top of that he dropped us off at the station very early morning. The bus was delayed by 1h but he waited with us until he made sure we got on the bus. After a busy 3 day safari with 2 nights spent in tents, this hostel was a perfect place to relax and get strength for next Tanzanian adventures.

- nice hangout area with a guitar and a cute cat
- we arranged our safari through the hostel and were very happy with the experience and with the price
- the employees and owner are really nice and make you feel at home
- hot water
-still fairly close to the city center (10min by tuktuk - 700 shillings per person)
- dinner offered by the hostel (7500 shillings) is really good, has big portions and changes on a daily basis
- they sell big, cold beers for 3000 shillings
- mosque is nearby so sometimes the call for prayer woke us up (wearing earplugs helps)

We loved staying here! It was perfect for before and after our Mt Kilimanjaro hike and safari. Breakfast is great and the terrace is the best for meeting others! Highly recommend staying here when in Arusha. The owner also running a tour company, he arranged out hike as well as Safari for very good price. Location was good for us because it was not very busy.

Benson and the team were amazing hosts - they helped out with everything from transfers to and from the airport, withdrawing money from the ATM, organizing a safari and day trips (Mt Meru day hike and hot springs), and even just driving around Arusha to meet some of his friends. Breakfast was included and the dinner was delicious and affordably priced ($2 USD). Meeting Benson and the team made my trip to Tanzania very enjoyable, and I hope to stay again in the future.

gated, welcoming, lush and sunny, this hostel was such a amazing surprise. The kind, professional and very helpful welcome of Flora with her bright smile, readiness to help with suitcase and transport ( as well as local knowledge ) as well as her good English made me feel at home immediately. the room with private bathroom on the first floor was sunny and airy, the mattress was comfortable. it was clean. there is a Moskito net. the common area is nice to hang around and socialize. Natalie cooked me some vegetarian diner on demand. and we hang out , at ease meeting new people as well as Benson the owner. this place made me want to stay much longer in Arusha. It made the difference . I had much worse experience there before. thank you !
the room didn’t lock or handle, even though the whole place is safe it was a bit funny having to open the door from the bottom. the hot water in the private bathroom didn’t work.
