Feel like you are sleeping in the tree tops at this adorable log home perched aside a mountain with a gorgeous view from every vantage point. Every image you have about a cabin in the mountains comes to life here from the cozy covered porch to the high vaulted ceilings with enormous windows, to the mountain-rustic design elements. Remote learners or workers will enjoy the fast internet, and there's even an in-house printer for your use. But it's not all work, be sure to get out to Fontana Lake via the Almond Boat Park just a few minutes away. The mountain biking trails at Tsali or the river attractions at the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) are only minutes away, too. Or, this is a perfect basecamp for experiencing the other convenient attractions like Cherohala Skyway, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Cherokee Indian Reservations, and even Asheville.
Your main commercial base will be the charming town of Bryson City, an easy 15 minute drive from Tree Top Getaway. This quaint mountain escape has craft breweries, charming shops, family restaurants, and is home to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. There is also a drugstore, modern grocery store, and ABC (not on Sundays). Bryson City is also one of the gateway entries to the Smoky Mountains National Park, via the gorgeous area called Deep Creek. There you can enjoy ample parking for tubing, waterfall hikes, horseback riding, and picnicking, all in the National Park but only 10 minutes out of downtown Bryson City.
The main level of the cabin has a great room with the wall of windows and gas-log, stone fireplace. The main entry comes in from the covered front porch but sliding doors also open to the open deck which has a hot tub and long-range view. The fully-equipped kitchen and dining area combined with the gas grill will satisfy most cooks, and the outside firepit will roast the marshmallows under the stars for ghost stories and S'mores. Firewood, as well as propane for the grill, are provided. The is a regular coffee machine (we supply filters) and a Keurig (starter K-cups are provided, but please bring more of your favorite blend).
The main level also hosts the king master bedroom where you'll find a TV and office area (wifi printer is already set up for guest use) with attached master bathroom. A large garden tub or a shower are available in this bathroom.
Upstairs is a second bedroom and bathroom. The bed here is queen-sized, and the bathroom has a shower/tub combo.
Like all of the properties in the Watershed collection, we supply most basic needs like an iron and ironing board, cleaning supplies, bathroom amenities, etc - but we also include items you may not expect like firewood and kindling as well as a spare propane tank for the gas grill. We try to equip the kitchen with more than you'd expect, tooo i. So if you don't see what you need, the local management office is there 7 days a week, even if it's a knife sharpener, kabob skewers, or wine opener, you are looking for. We have these stocked in our local office to make sure we can help.
A note about the community, setting, access, and privacy: This home is located in a gated mountain community that is quite popular for tourists because it is so centrally located. Homes are fairly spread out although you will see the neighbor here. The neighbor here it is not a rental property, and the owners are only there a couple times per year, so you likely won't ever hear anyone there, and the hot tub area has a privacy sun shade so you are blocked from the neighbor but not the beautiful majestic view of the mountains.

It was lovely to have a quiet cabin with a beautiful view and hot tub to come home to after hiking, tubing, shopping, and visiting wineries nearby. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed.

The “Treetop Getaway” was the perfect home for our family of 4. Beautiful home with gorgeous views. We enjoyed the games, puzzles, hot tub, and outside eating at the house. Very clean and comfortable beds. We took advantage of several of the NOC adventures with our 8 and 10 year olds. Many great memories made!

Beautiful property, very clean and organized. Plenty of utility items in the kitchen. Great location!

This is a beautiful cabin hidden away on the top of a mountain. It's a gated community so there are other cabins and neighbors, but you will only see them occasionally, usually on the road coming in. Each cabin is separated by woods, but they are close enough to be within vocal range.
This cabin has one next to it that is visible from the back deck. The neighbors were there for part of the week but we only heard them a few times.
The hot tub and windows gave us a spectacular view of the mountains. We watched a breathtaking storm roll in over the valley.
My only complaints are that the listing listed a DVD player as part of the amenities, but this is not there. Contacting management, they stated that previous owners took it with them. There is a smart TV so it was only a minor annoyance, but I prefer ad-free watching.
The only other complaint is that the privacy screen at the hot tub does not feel like it is as private as it is supposed to be. It's a triangle shape that does not feel like it offers much in terms of privacy.
Other than these things, this is a great place to stay.

This cabin was cozy and clean. The best part was the mountain view from the deck. I enjoyed seeing the deer that came from the woods almost daily and listening to the birds from the rocking chairs on the deck. This lovely place had everything anyone could need and I could definitely see myself coming back again.

GREAT place to get away. very clean and extremely comfortable. we drove in at night and woke up to a beautiful view looking off into the mountains. the road leading up to the cabin is steep but just take it slow and youll find the cabin perched on top of a hill. our family had a fabulous time and highly recommend this stay.

My husband and I really enjoyed the week at this cabin. The mountain views from the hot tub are incredible!! The temperature this time of year is perfect too. The owners made sure the cabin is fully stocked with all essential items and the kitchen had everything needed. There was even a cooler and ice packs provided, in case you wanted to picnic at one of the local parks. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway.

Excellent stay from booking to check out. Everything was so easy and the management company checked on us throughout the stay! The cabin was relaxing and peaceful, provided all the things we needed and was very clean! The bed is incredibly comfortable. Plenty of towels and extra blankets. We loved the hot tub and enjoying cups of coffee from the beautiful view from the deck! Enjoyed the grill and spending time on the porch, and sitting watching movies in front of the fire place! Also, thank you for providing all the "starter" items! The cabin is close drive to Bryson City and other surrounding towns. The drive up the first time is a little scary, (recommend doing this during the day) but once we got the hang of it we did fine! I highly recommended going on the trails at Deep Creek! There are beautiful waterfalls and fairly easy trails. I also recommend Everett Street Diner in Bryson City! Great lunch & the best carrot cake we've ever had! Thank you for a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and refreshing place to stay. We loved it and will be back!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the town of Bryson City and the friendly people that live and work there. Cute shops, good restaurants and a train ride that you have to experience.
There are lots trails nearby for hiking and enjoying the great outdoors.
We will definitely be back!

The property was clean and well stocked with firewood. We enjoyed the view from the balcony and the fire pit. Easy trip to Bryson City and Nantahala. The beds were very comfortable, but the bedrooms can get quite warm if you don’t leave a window open.
Overall great place to stay.

My husband, son and I had a wonderful time at this cabin. Very clean and the views were amazing. The management company were so great to deal with. There was an issue with the plumbing freezing up the day we arrived but they were already on top of it before we arrived and stayed in contact to make sure we weren't having any issues. I'd highly recommend this cabin if you need a peaceful getaway from the city. Already looking forward to another trip next year to this area.
