Nice home in a lovely neighborhood. Convenient to Cashiers and many hiking trails in the area. The screened porch was our favorite as most time was spent there. House was well equipped for cooking and found the house to be clean upon arrival. The front entrance was a little tricky getting into, as the door handle seemed to be broken; however after a few minutes we were able to figure it out.

We arrived and immediately the trouble started. The lockbox was hard to open, the key didn’t open the front door easily. House had no heat! We saw a review online from the week before stating that the heat had gone out. It had not been repaired and it was freezing in the home. There were cobwebs and very thick dust on all blinds. The den sofa was filthy and all outdoor furniture as well. Our group ended up leaving and booked another fantastic place. They did refund our stay.

This is a really nice house in a cool location near Trillium. Very peaceful property at the end of the road with nice hiking trail down to the lake. The only issue we had with the property is that the heater wasn't working properly and the temp dipped very low midway through our stay (night before we left). The property manager contact was very responsive and offered to reimburse us for purchase of firewood since the repairman wasn't able to come address the situation until the next day. She was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed three nights at the lovely property with our two kiddos and labradoodle. The porch and fireplace is dreamy and the house is so cozy! Better yet, we didn’t realize there are trails just outside the door to walk along the creek. It was an easy hike and great for the entire family. The house is convenient to everything nearby and we will rent again! My only tip is to maybe bring a comfy comforter as the bedding is a bit light for our taste. Also, bring large black garbage bags that you can double up. You have to deposit your garbage at a location 5+ miles away. Would be nice if they provided garbage service, but it’s not the end of the world. Overall, great place and we will likely be back!

Exactly as described. Great weekend getaway for us with quality time on the screened in porch. Guest contact was exceptional. Highly recommend.

This location was great. The whole family loved it. One perk that we didn’t think was identified in the description is there is a small trail located right in the backyard of the house. If you follow it, you end up at the lake. On the other end is is a small observation deck. The only negative I have, and it’s minor, is I don’t feel the description explains well there is no garbage pickup. You must dispose of you garbage on your own. This was detailed in the binder in the cottage and it’s only about 6-7 miles away. If you follow the instructions in the book in the cabin you will have no issues finding it. One note, the dumpster is not open on Sundays, so be aware of that. I would like to also say we loved the decorations. We would positively visit this house again.

The cottage is quaint and charming. We enjoyed the fireplaces inside and outside on the porch. It’s close to other hiking trails and falls in the area. Some of the restaurants are closed in the winter months. The neighborhood doesn’t have trash collection, so we had to drive about 6 miles to dump the big trash bags.
Overall, we had a nice and pleasant stay.

This house (and the surrounding area) just exude charm. Not only is the house functionally comfortable, it is quaint in exactly the way you’d hope a get-away location would be. The outside porch and grounds were great spaces for hanging out and enjoying family and friends. We had a blast and are already talking about going back.
The roads in the area are narrow and winding, but several restaurants and a grocery store are about 10 minutes away.

Our family of 6 enjoyed a wonderful stay - the home was easily accessible to Cashiers, Highlands and beautiful hikes! We also loved the trails in the neighborhood. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the mountains!

Nice property at the end of a cul-de-sac with nature trails nearby; close to Cashiers; the fees were very high for this property for it to be needing so much attention - needed a thorough cleaning - especially cobwebs; several maintenance items need to be addressed; missing toiletries; kitchen pans need replacement. Emailed property manager and was told issues would be taken care of the next week.

Relaxing Mountain Getaway
This house has a great location close to Lake Glenville and lots of hikes, which was ideal. Sits inside the Trillium neighborhood which is one of our favorite areas near the Lake and Cashiers. However, you don't get access to Trillium amenities like you would if you rented from a homeowner in Trillium. The house is super quiet at the end of a street. Inside of the home is nicely appointed in terms of decor and very comfortable. Screened in deck was our favorite spot to spend time when there, but could use a good cobweb cleaning. Overall house was pretty clean, kitchen could use a little TLC in terms of upkeep and cleanliness of pans.

Cashiers home
The house was poorly maintained. One shower did not work. Drawers did not work. Uncomfortable. Drains were very slow in sinks. House cleaning did not answer phone and you could not leave a message.

Treetop Bliss
The house was magical, especially the huge swing on the screened in porch which I slept on my first night there to enjoy the night air and wake up to birds singing.
Prior to our stay I emailed the Evolve contact person, Rachel Radtke, who responded very quickly and answered all my questions.
When we arrived at the house, we discovered the cold water handle in one of the showers was broken; Rachel tried to contact plumbers immediately (although it was a weekend and no one was available to fix it). The other bathroom was available and all was well.
The house is at the end of the street and there was very ample parking. There was also a nature trail where the street pavement ended. The path was wide and well maintained and led down to the creek.
Everything was terrific. I would go definitely go back to this house.

Beautiful & Quiet
First of all the home was absolutely stunning and perfect for my husband and I. The screened porch amenities is why i rented this and it did not disappoint. All the bed linens and extra pillows were top notch (no expense has been spared) and it was just icing on the cake. As soon as you step out of your car you are greeted by the quietness of the mountains and a faint stream sound that literally put me to sleep on the porch.
If you bring your dog be aware there is no yard, the house is literally on the side of a mountain. There are tons of hiking trails nearby (literally you walk up the steps and you can walk on one immediately) but there is no grassy area anywhere near the property for a quick potty break. But again, lots of areas to walk around & the community even has doggy poo bag stations placed throughout.
Below the front porch is a stream and a trail that leads by it, so from time to time we had screaming kids going back and forth but thankfully it rained a majority of the time we were there so they were not out that much and we could enjoy the quiet time and hear the stream below.
The home could use a deep clean (lots of spider webs throughout the inside and the screened porch area. Also from what looks to be kids fingerprints/nose prints all over the dining room windows which was gross). But overall the home was clean when we arrived and offered lots of things we might have forgotten (soap, dish washing supplies, etc).
The water was weird the entire time we were there. Not sure if that is because you are literally on the side of a mountain and water is having to be pumped up. But it was like there was air in the lines and it was super foggy/cloudy looking. Thankfully we had brought our own drinking water but not sure if that was something that is a constant thing there or not.
Then the trash situation-- You literally have to pack your trash in your car and drive it about 20 min away to dispose of. We were not made aware of this by Evolve other than "take trash out" but there are no trash cans nor trash service in the area. Thankfully the cleaning crew answered my questions as again Evolve management was impossible to get a hold of. There were no clear instructions from anyone on where or how to dispose of the trash other than "the guest is responsible". So for future guests this would be a courtesy to at least give them an address and the fact the place you have to take it is only open certain hours.
I hope we make it back here again as this home was stunning and that front screened porch is a dream!
