We stayed at this property with our adult children and 3 small grandchildren 8/25/2023 thru 8/28/23 to celebrate my husbands retirement.
8/25/23 - we entered the property @ 4:00 to unload our luggage and personal belongings using the code provided for the key pad on the door no problem. Upon returning @ 6:00 the code would not work. We called the property management VACASA for help and after an hour standing outside on the phone my daughter discovered a small bathroom window was unlocked and climbed through to let the rest of us in. VACASA sent a locksmith @ 8:30 to replace the battery in the key pad.
8/26/23- We left the property in the morning and returned again @ 6:00, same problem! Luckily our daughter had forgotten to lock the bathroom window from the previous night. We again called VACASA and they promised someone would send someone out so we wouldn't have this problem the next day. No one came until 10:30 the next morning.
8/27/23- 3:00am my husband woke up in bed with a cockroach crawling from his foot to his chest. There were cockroaches in the kitchen along with ant traps.
We have used VRBO for many years and have never had a bad experience. I'm hoping whoever actually owns the property finds a new management company.

I tried to work with Vacasa numerous times, and they refused to help us. The trip began as the hurricane tropical storm was going to hit San Diego. I called Vacasa to see if we could delay or reschedule because of the tropical storm. Vacasa refused to help us adjust our reservation. When we arrived late to our rental house, the home that had buckets of water sitting on the floor in the kitchen and the bathroom because the roof was leaking and water was dripping through the roof and the drywall. In the kitchen the water was leaking and dripping through the kitchen light onto the floor. The second bathroom was unusable because there was so much water damage to the ceiling. There were several buckets of water and there were wet towels all over the floor because of the leaking roof. The drywall on the roof was buckled and deformed from the water damage. This created a horrible situation for us because we had 6 adults with one shower. The place was just downright filthy. The railing to the upstairs was so dirty we didn’t want to touch the railing as we went up the stairs. There was sand and dirt all over the floor when we arrived. There were also little bugs flying all around the family room and kitchen. The screens were torn, had holes, and the sliding screen doors were bent. We were very disappointed in this rental. We are very unhappy on how Vacasa did not help resolve this horrible vacation experience.

The house was great. Great location, slept 8 adults comfortably (10 is a bold statement, I'd stick with 8). Walking distance to the beach, close to grocery stores and a 10 minute uber to PB and MB. Loved the patio on the second floor. There's space for one car down the driveway but we were able to find parking on the neighboring streets. Really sweet neighborhood.
On our way to the house I started to read the more recent reviews.... I was really hoping the issues would have been fixed.. and the fridge worked fine for us but the "cleaning" staff needs to be replaced. Mold in the downstairs shower, the banister is covered in grime, the walls have handprints on them, there's dust on anything above eye level, the floor has never met a mop (I understand a beach town, and that's fine. But we weren't there more than 5 minutes and our feet were black). There were missing screens on some windows so there were flies evvvvverywhere. Questionable blood like looking stain on the downstairs mattress, and.... I wish I was joking, looks like someone had picked their nose and smeared it all over the upstairs headboard. I did appreciate how responsive the management was, but if I owned this house and knew that this is how it was being kept, I would be incredibly upset. Personally, I'm looking for a refund on whatever service/cleaning fees I paid for.

The location of this house is the best feature. It is a short walk to nice beach and restaurants. My Tahoe did fit in the parking spot. The biggest disappointment with the property was the cleanliness and the delayed responses from the mgmt company Vacasa. The house on the surface looked clean but the first night before bed my bare feet were already black. To me that means that the floor was vacuumed but has not been mopped! The house needs a deep clean. Ceiling fans, baseboards and window seals filthy. Couch needed to be vacuumed as well, it had sand and pet hair on it. The fridge and freezer each had a dirty drawer. The patio upstairs was great for our group of 8 but please note you have to walk through a bedroom to get to it. If you have teens that sleep late and you want to drink your coffee up there that’s inconvenient. We also had ants and a few roaches on the patio. There were the 2 portable air conditioning units upstairs for the 2 bedrooms. But when both plugged in the circuit breaker kept tripping. The next day we bought an extension cord to use to plug one unit into GFI switch in the bathroom. The bathroom upstairs it has a tub shower. On night 4 the valve broke and the water would not shut off. I reported this to Vacasa mgmt co at 10pm when it first happened. A plumber did not show up until 11a the next morning. The water ran for over 13 hrs. I kept following up and the local manager of the property never called me. On last day we had ants in kitchen!

We stayed at this property for 5 days. The first day we realized the fridge and dryer didn’t work. We contacted customer service and the communication was poor. They sent someone out to fix the dryer the next day and brought a small fridge for us on day 3 without informing us when things were going to be happening. It wasn’t very clean upon arrival. It could use a good wipe down on walls, doors. Also one of the bedrooms has a strong urine smell. Everyone was disappointed.

This property was filthy. There was blood, hair and sand in one of the upstairs beds. The master bedroom had mold in the shower. The white stair railing was covered in dirt and grime. The master bedroom window was cloudy and disgusting and there was dog/cat food in the nightstand and under the bed. We woke up to a giant cockroach in the living room. Many of the windows are missing screens so unable to be opened to let in the coastal breeze. The listing has since been changed, but when I booked, it advertised a fire pit and chairs for "convivial conversations" downstairs. Only items found there were a barbecue, 6 trash/recycle bins and a dead plant. There were no fire pit or chairs. Upon complaining I was asked repeatedly to please have patience "while the local team was contacted." Other notes. While there is one parking space on the property, it is very tight and a quick turn-in from a busy street. It's best to back in to the space but takes a skillful driver so be aware. Read the ad carefully. The outside table/seating shown in the picture (big selling point) is upstairs through a beat-up bedroom sliding glass door. We did not use because of how hot the bedroom space became if we raised the outside shade to access this rooftop area. Also, it's not realistic to carry a meal upstairs and through a bedroom to eat out there. This rental was a costly disappointment for our family vacation.

Our family had a fun stay at the property. Overall, the home was clean and well kept. The top patio area was a great place to relax, with a small view of the ocean. However you definitely feel the ocean breeze. The beach was a short walk away by 2 small blocks. There was a beach entrance but the walk down to the sand and water was not an easy climb down/up. We had a great stay with no disruptions. Some cons worth noting: the single parking spot was not easy to get in and out of as the property is located on a busy street, so we had to park on the street on some days to avoid the assigned parking spot. The upside is that there were plenty of street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Another con was that there were not very much bath towels (there was 8 of us but only 4 bath towels), but there were plenty of beach towels. We ended up washing the beach towels and use them as bath towels. Regardless, we had a great stay. The location is great due to the plenty of restaurant and food options that were walking distance.

Family of 6, and this place was absolutely perfect for us. Very clean. Updated. Loved the main floor master with other rooms on second floor. Location was great also. Walking distance to a beautiful beach and great food (e.g., Taco Stand).

Great location, quick walk to the beautiful beach, conveniently near the shops, restaurants, and markets. Parking was a bit tight for our minivan, but the description had warned of that. Could have been cleaner. Stains on the king mattress, which we noticed because the sheet covering it was quite loose.
A main reason our family chooses to stay in a rental home, rather than a hotel, is so that we can economize by not having to eat out every meal. We had brought a cooler of food with us and upon arrival, the frig did not feel cold. We texted the owner and they said a work order would be put in. My husband happened to have a temperature gauge in the car so we stuck it in there. Even after waiting till morning, the frig was 54 degrees. We texted the next day as well and were asked to be patient. No one ever contacted us and no one ever fixed it. We stayed 4 days, 3 nights. We requested some type of refund - no response.

Such a cute house with so much space!
We didn’t need the A/C at all but they do have portable units in case. The patio was lovely. Car port is a little small for an SUV but we didn’t have anyone in the casita! The driveway is narrow I highly recommend backing down off the main road so you can get out easier. You can walk to restaurants and coffee (check out El Pescador). 10/10 recommend this stay.

Great location where we could walk to the beach in 10 minutes. The home was very clean when we arrived! The kitchen is quite small but very well stocked. Also, it was very quiet. The roof top deck was just as it looked on line. We really enjoyed it. The garbage cans were right outside the kitchen door, which was so convenient. The washer/dryer were off the kitchen patio which was fine, but the dryer did not dry the towels we washed. We would definitely recommend this property!!

Amazing location just a few blocks from the beach and a short walk to the La Jolla shops. Kitchen was stocked with enough for us to make almost all of our meals. Lots of beds, nice patio and balcony, and a private parking spot. The house had plenty of space for the 3 of us. It could have been cleaner.

I recently stayed at the property with my wife, daughter and our dog Tango. The property offered everything that we needed and was located wonderfully near the beach, restaurants and shopping.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider booking again in the future.

Well who new there was going to be a heat wave in the who state of California then a rain storm in San Diego but the house was ok small inside the parking was tight one of the upstairs TV didn't work water pressure was low not enough chairs to sit on couch is old. But we made it work and spent time with my San Diego family.

Good times
We really enjoyed our stay and constant walks to the beach. House was good. Only one minor complaint. I have a regular car, Kia Optima and it would grind on the curb every time we pulled in or out of the property. Plenty of parking on the street, which we did quite a bit. Wasn't enough to put a damper on our stay. Just a warning if you have a basic compact car, might want to park on the street. Was not an issue for the people staying in the casita, driving an SUV

Great Place!
We came here to for a Spring Break vacation with our family and enjoyed this house. It was cozy and comfortable. The location of the house was ideal. It was a short walk to the beautiful private beaches and many restaurants.
The house itself was very nice. The kitchen was equipped with everything a cook needs. The furniture was simple but functional. The Beds were very comfortable.
The only downside was the down stairs master bathroom, had a very rusty old rack and the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned. The deck is on the top level of the house was huge and had a big table. We enjoyed hanging out there after breakfast to enjoy the sun and the lovely view. We were very happy with our stay at this house and would come back in the future.

La Jolla Happiness
It is a simple home nestled among other homes a short walk to the beach. We had an issue with the washer/dryer and with the T.V.
We were not staying there for either, and so it was no big deal to us - we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this home.

House was fine but the outdoor space was not set up. It was all covered up and could not be used. Considering that’s the picture you are using to advertise the home a guest would expect it to be ready to go. Also the tv’s weren’t hooked up. When you travel with kids that’s pretty annoying. We wanted a chill night in and ended up fighting with the tv trying to get it working. Bummer. Not exactly as advertised.

Very nice place, with just one concern, realtor agent (Jennifer) entered the house without my ok
The owner of the house told us that the property was on sale, but that No-one was going to enter the place (due to security, covid, etc...we have 3 children). Sea breeze called me to ask for a visit approval, and my answer was NO. But neglecting my answer they did it anyway, without my permission, scaring my kids, who where alone at that moment in the house...my oldest daughter saw a Lady called Jennifer inside the living, talking about the things that she saw. But the worst part is that sea breeze denied the fact that someone had entered the property (inside the house) 3 times. We went to sea breeze office 2 times, without admitting this fact. A shame.

Very clean and comfortable house
We loved everything about this house. The location, the interior, appliances, and so on. The only thing that was not comfortable was the parking. We had only 1 parking spot, but there are a lot of parking spaces available on the street
