About this house rental
This is a quiet older neighborhood that’s just a 3 minute walk to downtown Fairborn and just a 1 minute drive to the entry gate of Wright-Patterson AFB. Our central location is less than 15 minutes to: I-70 @ 675 , Wright state college & the Nutter center, The Rose amphitheater.
The house is located on the edge of the city’s FORA ( Fairborn outdoor refreshment area ) which will allow you to buy drinks in the downtown bars and carry them around while walking the downtown area all the way to our home.
The city hosts a “food truck rally” the 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month ( March-October) , a large St. Patrick’s day gathering ( 10,000 people strong ) , a huge Halloween celebration with help from FOYs Halloween stores that take up almost a quarter of main st. Dayton’s Oregon district is about 30 minutes away.
The AIr force base assists in the forth of July celebrations for Fairborn and puts on the Dayton air show in July. The Air Force museum is open year round and free admission.
We have ramps, bed rails & shower bench for the handicapable available ( request before arrival ) , off street parking large enough for an RV , central air , permanent fire pit , large deck.
Note: Wright-patt AFB is NOT a full operating airport. It is a testing and design AFB that has very minimal noise during daylight hours and virtually no noise at night. You will hear taps and reveille daily and when needed warning alerts for approaching severe weather on their public address speakers.
Maximum stay for one booking is 28 days.
Because of our asthma and severe allergies to smoke, FUR, feathers and other animal coats we do not allow animals of any kind for any reason in our home. Violation of this policy is subject to immediate cancellation of your booking and possible legal charges.

This home is so cozy and comfortable. The hosts and manager have thought of everything. There was a well supplied kitchen, with water bottles, an assortment of coffees for the Keurig, teas and sweeteners, as well as snacks available.
Beds are comfortable. A mini "office" is set up in the smaller bedroom with a printer, desk, and office chair provided.
The bathroom has soap, shampoo, and conditioner, as well as extra amenities should you forget your own (toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, etc.)
All in all, a fabulous stay.

Everything you would need for toiletries was available.
Kitchen had plenty of supplies. Owner had nice snacks and water available.
Furniture and beds were comfortable.
Close to all kinds of restaurants, especially enjoyed Young’s Dairy where nice lunch menu, woberful ice cream, my favorite was the blueberry lemon cheesecake the cones were huge. Also have bakery and cheese. Also liked Roosters bar and grill. The morning we left we got breakfast biscuits from Biscuit world fantastic and huge!
Very relaxing owners easy to get in contact with.

This fit our need perfectly. The check-in process was very easy, which worked well after our flight in caused the check-in to be early the morning after. The house itself, had all we needed and more, to enjoy our time the we spent in the home. The home couldn't have been in a better location, allowing travel to our points of interest to be very short. If I am ever in the area in ge future, I would definitely stay again!

Although it is an older home, it had all the amenities we needed to be able to visit with our daughter at the Air Force Base. We were able to cook our meals there allowing us to visit without needing to go out to eat. The host provided paper products, snacks, coffee, spices plus extras for our needs in both the kitchen and bathroom. They were very thoughtful in the amenities provided. They also contacted us throughout our stay to ensure if we needed anything.
