Host, Kelli, happens to be a co-owner of a large tour company with over 25 tours throughout Alaska, and offers 10% discount on all tours offered by the company, Alaska Travel Adventures, to her vacation rental guests. Popular tours offered in Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Sitka include whale watching, salmon bakes, river rafting, kayaking, canoe tours, boat tours, hiking, gold panning, private cars, Mendenhall Glacier tours, jeep tours, Alaska RV and Cruise tour packages, and more. If you're interested in this discount, just ask Kelli for the details.
We will strive to provide the best customer service and improve as we go with feedback from our guests. We hope to earn your five-star review! Your expectations should be limited to what is promised here, and reviews should reflect how we did with these promises. Before submitting your review, please remember to base it on the following criteria and what was promised to be provided for the price paid as follows:
Easy check-in process – You'll be able to self-check in. Kelli will give you check-in details prior to arrival, including a lock box code. You'll be able to access the rental at your leisure after check-in time, at 4pm. We offer early check-in options, if it's available a couple days prior to your arrival for $25-$50, depending on your arrival time.
Great Communication – Kelli is known to be responsive to guests before, during, and after their stay. You can expect prompt responses to your questions. She'll respond to web site messages as soon as she can.
Clean Accommodations – Your private apartment should be sparkling clean.
Great Auke Bay Location – It's a block from the city bus stop and in the heart of Auke Bay walking community. This is not a downtown Juneau property. Downtown Juneau is substantially more expensive than the Mendenhall Valley/Auke Bay, so this location for the price should not be compared to that of downtown. If you want to be downtown, and don't want to take a 45 minute bus ride to go 15 miles, then this space is not for you.
Accurate Description of the space - I try to make continuous improvements when guests make suggestions and do my best to keep the changes updated and published. If I missed something please let me know, so I can update the information. If you are missing something you were counting on, please let me know immediately, so I can try to provide it for your stay.
Great Value – Juneau is expensive, especially during peak season, and while this is a more affordable option, we understand that it can seem expensive. Part of the value is the ability to rent for only one night and have additional people. The price fluctuates depending on the season. We have to charge more when the business is there, so that we can afford to have it vacant for long, slow periods.
Have a fantastic trip!

Overall the place was nice. The floors were a little slopped and it was musty at first. Great view of the harbor and lots of Eagles to watch. The location made it easy to catch any water excursions. Good little restaurant right next door with really good milk shakes.
It is on the third floor and there is no elevator. Luckily we only had to carry our 50 pound bags up once.

This was one of the best stays we've had in recent memory. The entire experience was so well managed. Kelly with Captain's Quarters was proactive, responsive and kind when she reached out. Check-in and out were well-explained and didn't ask us to do too much. Essentially, a breeze. We couldn't have had a better experience. Thanks again for the wonderful experience. Lastly and most importantly what an AMAZING VIEW to wake up too every morning. We will be back!!

Great place to stay while working from out of town. Pricing, amenities, and communication is far better than anything you get from a hotel.

This stay was perfect for ease of access, cleanliness and location. Was just right for our needs. Would have been nice to have more screens on windows to allow for fresh air at night, but everything else was amazing!

This accommodation and location were perfect for us. Auke Bay has lots going on with an active fishing community, a few luxury yachts and tour center for whale watch fleets. Our room had a great view of all of the port activity and yet was quiet and comfortable. The unit itself was decorated with a whimsical nautical theme and had everything we needed for our 2-night stay. The designated parking spot was a huge plus. Forbidden Peak Brewery, a small tackle and grocery store and several restaurants are within a short walk. I definitely would consider staying here again.

The view of Auke Bay was beautiful and interesting with boats coming and going all the time. The unit was just like a small apartment with everything we needed. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were able to cook many of our meals there. Most of all, it was spotless in all the rooms. We had one issue and contacted Scott, the owner, and it was fixed the same day. The living room didn’t have enough comfortable seating but the owner indicated they will be changing that before the next rental. It was easy to find and get into the unit. My granddaughters and I all agreed we would rent this place again as we were happy with the location and the unit.
One thing that I didn’t realize was the unit was listed for 4 people and I thought the price listed was for four. The price is for two and there is an additional charge per night per person for extra people. This was stated in the information but not at the same place as the rental charge. Just something I missed when booking.
Kelli and Scott were great to rent from. Very responsive.

This is a nice, 2 bedroom place. We especially liked being able to look out at the harbor from the living room windows. When we walked out on the docks we saw eagles and a family of seals. Everything about this place was just as expected and would rent again.

Living room chairs were not comfortable and too low to enjoy the beautiful view. They had seen better days.
Apartment was a great location and very clean.
