This is one of the best houses our group has stayed in over the past 10 years. All of the bedrooms are huge, the Kitchen/dining/living room accommodated everyone with comfortable seating and ample table space. Kitchen is well equipped and stocked with some basic cooking essentials that came in handy. Beautiful, quiet beach! So amazing! I recommend you to rent this house!!
Fripp Island is a lovely, peaceful, beautiful place to vacation. A few from our group wanted a bit more of a social experience - so keep in mind that the Island is very remote and it is a drive to get to stores and off island restaurants. We purchased the club cards but regretted it - so expensive for what we used them for. You'll definitely want bikes and/or golf carts--they definitely add to the island experience!

We had a big Marine Corps reunion at MCAS Beaufort. This was an ideal place not only because of location but because several wives attended our reunion. There was 22 people in our group alone and everyone had a bed, the house is spacious the back patio is awesome and the ocean breezes make it even better. Highly recommend for a large group. it is EXACTLY as advertised.

Wonderful family time

Large house with a large back patio and garage. Friends at another property on the island joined us for some meals, totaling 20 people. No problem.
The kitchen has great appliances, pots and pans and the best silverware we’ve ever encountered with a rental. Geminid meteor shower was a bonus. Very nice facility. 5 stars.

The house was perfect for our family. My wife and I have three married children. All eight of us were very comfortable. The location is fantastic and it has incredible views. We will definitely stay there again.

We all enjoyed the stay. The ping pong and beach were great for the kids. The amount of bedrooms/baths with king beds was awesome and the deciding factor for why we picked the property.
The 7 year in our group found a vape pen and a food wrapper which was concerning - but other than that the house was very clean.
Due to the size of our group and the distance from restaurants, we cooked in the house every meal. The kitchen was properly equipped and we found all the items we needed. The dishwasher is not installed correctly - so when we followed the check out directions to load all remaining dirty dishes (which was the first time we used the dishwasher) the very heavy door fell on my sisters foot.
There were also some minor maintenance items that need addressed - several of the bathroom cabinet door fronts are not on the drawer, etc.
I might have missed all the fees for golf when I booked - but the guys were disappointed in the extra resort fees added for a club card to be able to golf.
Overall the trip was a blast and I would recommend to others - but I would stress the resort fees will be added and that a golf cart is really needed for getting around the island.

We found this home so perfect for our family of eighteen
The hot water heater could not keep up with showers
There was blue tape on a top bedroom handle going to balcony
The sliding door closest to kitchen need lubrication as it was very hard to open
We all enjoyed your home and we loved the wild life in front !

We had a group of 12 playing golf for a few days in the area and the house was perfect. Large home, lots of deck space, great views of ocean. Kitchen was well stocked with regard to utensils, plates, glasses, pots, pans (we did a bunch of cooking) and probably sharpest knives i've encountered at a VRBO home, which was nice. Not a lot of spices so I would recommend buying what you need at the store. Also, Fripp is a great location but do be aware that the closest true grocery store is 30 minutes away. As long as you plan ahead of time to bring what you want/need you are set.

Great Stay! The house was big enough for 12 adults and was in excellent shape.

We loved the island! The view from the deck is spectacular. The walk from the house to the beach is considerably long for our older family members. There is a large pond on the beach at the end of the walkway that you must walk around to get to the beach near the water. We didn’t anticipate this since it is a beachfront home. Overall, we liked the house, especially that each bedroom had its own bath. Decor was coastal and fresh. However, Palmetto bugs do take getting used to, especially for those of us from the North.

Unpleasant stay at Fripp
The day we arrived the temperatures were in the upper nineties. Apparently the air conditioning had not been turned on which meant the house was stifling hot. Although the upper floor cooled fairly quickly, the main floor never went below 81 degrees. Sleeping that night was miserable. We tried opening the two patio doors in 2 of the main floor bedrooms that looked out to the ocean, hoping for a sea breeze, but one had a sign on it saying it was unsafe to open and the other was stuck and could not be opened until the following day after several attempts. The morning after arrival we called the property manager about the AC. 2 workmen arrived at 2PM told us the the filter was old and clogged which caused the unit to freeze up. A new filter was put in but we were told we had to wait until 6 PM to turn the unit back on. This meant we had NO cooling on the main floor all day of our second day. Finally, late that night the bedrooms, kitchen and living areas began to cool. In addition to the cooling problem there was the issue of mold in the ceiling on the second floor which could easily be smelled as one ascended the stairs to the bedrooms on the second floor. Outside the dining area there had once been a screened in porch. However, the screens had been removed. It was impossible to sit on the deck for any length of time to view the ocean without being bitten by mosquitoes. The 3rd night of stay, my husband and I walked into our bedroom to find what looked like flying ants all over our bed, walls, and carpet. They also were in the bathroom. It took us about 45 minutes to remove most of the insects but a number remained during the night which made sleeping difficult. This house was probably a nice house at one time but presently is not well maintained and certainly was not worth the amount of money paid to rent it. Our family has been going to Fripp since 2006 and love it. We will return there but we would not rent this house again.
