Our family had a wonderful stay. We loved the privacy, large property, creek and beautiful views. Property was clean and had everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable. WiFi worked great (used for remote working). AT&T cell phone had 2 bars. We used airplane mode on Verizon & Visible cell phones to access WiFi calling. We’re adding this one to our favorites list.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Located on a large property with creek and animal views as well. My husband and I celebrated our 11th year anniversary and couldnt stop staring at the mountains. The master bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the seating area and the fire pit. We visited Mingo falls and went to the smokey mountian railroad which were about an hour away. All in all an incredible place to stay!

The property is beautiful, enjoyed using the deck and spending time with family. The only item that could use some help would be the smell downstairs the fabric on the chairs seemed a bit damp overall would visit again

The cabin is beautiful and cozy. Enjoyed so much sitting on the 2nd story porch and listening to the sound of the stream. Amazing views and really enjoyed the stay. The jetted bathtub was the best, did not want to get out once I was in. Would def stay here again.

The home was lovely and unique. The views were awesome from everywhere. You are surrounded by mountains. The only thing I would recommend is that the 2 large trees behind the upper deck porch blocks the mountain views in the sunmer. The surrounding towns from the house were close. Loved driving on the roads and relaxing with the family. The kids loved the creek on the property.

Seriously beautiful views from the porch! That is the closest to a mountain we have stayed, just walk out and there it is! The house was clean and had everything we needed. We loved that the grocery store is less than 15 minutes away. I would say this was our favorite cabin we have rented. Yes, the stairs outside aren’t ideal but all it does is separate the sleeping area from the living area so it really isn’t a major deal breaker. We will be back😁.

This property is a great place to escape from your normal life and enjoy some quality time with your loved ones. The large open field in the front allows for any type of family activity, be it a game of tag, football, soccer, or what evert. The beds were very soft, and the blankets heavy enough to ward off the crisp night October air. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, cups, plates, and silverware.
There are only two odd things about the property that you need to be aware of. First, and this is spelled out for you in the property description, the only way to get to the kitchen on the second floor is through an outside staircase. This was not an issue in anyway, just odd. Second, I would have been more comfortable with the fire pit on the property if it had some sort of rock wall barrier or surrounded by sand. As it was, it was just a small dirt circle with firewood in the middle.
All in all, a great property. Loved sipping morning coffee on the deck, and the scenery. Will absolutely book again.

We had the most perfect weekend! This cabin is awesome, the only downside is that I did not get to stay long enough. The best part is sitting out on the upstairs deck, which is amazing by the way, hearing the creek below and all the birds and the horses. King size bed downstairs was awesome great night sleep. The house is super clean ,super cute. Can’t wait to visit again!

I would give this property a 10 if I could! The upstairs deck is amazing! I sat there all weekend and listed to the creek and the birds. So relaxing! Owner communication was excellent - cabin was clean . The king size bed was super comfortable! I hope to come back next month for a longer stay!

We were looking to get away from everything and just relax. That's what this place is for. You can hear the stream from the porch, perfect for unwinding. Property is still close enough to stores and restaurants to be convenient.

Overall, the cabin is as described. It is very tastefully decorated and comfortable in a quiet, peaceful location that is easily accessible. We loved the covered deck space. Although the creek is barely visible from the deck, you can definitely hear it. We weren't traveling with dogs or childrens but both would undoubtedly love the large open yard between the cabin and creek. We were a little surprised that there was no interior stairs but the exterior stairs are covered and it was very private. The primary living spaces are on the upper level with the bedrooms on the lower level. There is a full bath on both levels. We chose the cabin for it's proximity to several places in Western NC and north GA that we wanted to explore and it suited our needs well. As verizon users, we had no service at the property but we were prepared for that possibility from the property description.

Slice of Heaven
My husband and I had a fabulous, relaxing couple of days enjoying the rain on the metal roof, letting our doggy run in grass and creek and I loved the huge tub!! Just be prepared to walk outside to go up and down from the kitchen to the bedrooms.
We loved it!

Beautiful location
We really enjoyed our stay! The area is beautiful. The washer didn’t work (which we found out after attempting to use it) but that was the only issue we encountered. Great place to relax!

Anniversary celebration
The cabin was perfect, the dogs loved the creek and the huge field, the wife and I loved the coziness and relaxing atmosphere, plus there are some great hikes nearby. The rental has all of the creature comforts you would ever need, while at the same time being able to completely unplug and relax. 10/10 recommendation!!

Lovely place
We just came back from our stay at Sally Gap cabin for a week and we already miss it.
We loved everything about about it: the cabin itself, the surrounding, the creek.
We will be back!!!

Good stay with some minor issues.
Overall it was a good experience, because I don't let the minor things bother me too much, however there were issues with the cleanliness of the house, as well as issues with well pump. It would shut off and it had to be reset many times, luckily I know a little about these things so I was able to get it to work again. Because of the water situation the washer took really long to do normal cycles, and would shut off because of no water. The dryer took a really long time to dry, due to the vent being clogged. When we arrived there was a load of towels in the dryer, which my wife had to rewash and dry again. Because of the dryer issues all the towels in the unit have a permanent musty smell to them. Cell phone signal is non existent, and the wifi is very weak so no calls can be made from house, there is a landline phone which I used a couple of times to call the property manager. Upon my arrival we noticed mouse droppings in the pantry and some of the cabinets in the kitchen. I told the property manager about it and she replied that they were aware of the mouse, and that they had put out a mouse trap next to the refrigerator, and that there was an additional glue trap under the kitchen sink, which I could use if I wanted to.

Everything was perfect, from the view, the creek and the cabin. We had a wonderful time and our little Malkipoo had a grand old time running after the kids in the meadow. Peaceful and relaxing location

Perfection on the Creek
What a fantastic week! This place was just what we needed, we love the area and it is perfect for kids and pets. Though it was a little cold, it didn't keep the kids out of the creek - what a blast that was! Though the common and sleeping quarters are separated, it worked well for us! We will definitely be back, we already booked our next stay!!

Breath of Fresh Air
What a great way to start the New Year! This house and property was perfect for us! Only negatives were the stink bugs in the kitchen and the listing does not mention that the upstairs and downstairs are not connected inside. You have to go outside to get to the intended level. Other then that, it was a great stay!

Beautiful property
We loved our stay at the cabin! We were a little surprised that there was no inside entry way between the upper and lower floor, but the cabin was very clean and spacious and the deck made up for it. The mountain views are spectacular and completely surround this private cabin on sprawling grounds. The creek on the property made it even more special. We loved drinking our coffee in the mornings on the deck, listening to the creek and watching the sun come up over the mountains.

Property needs better address directions. Arrived after dark and it was pitch black. Needs a post with address written on it with arrow towards entry road. Needs more outside lights. Place was fantastic and beautiful.

Perfect Mountain Getaway
Ginger's cabin was absolutely perfect! We loved morning coffee on the deck listening to the running river and watching clouds roll through the mountaintops. Fall is a beautiful time of year there. The house is very pup friendly with gates on the deck and a wonderful meadow for playing fetch. It was a bit too cold for playing in the creek but in the warmer months our pups would have jumped right in! Nearby we enjoyed a day hike on the Fires Creek Rim trail and visited Eagle Fork Vineyards which is only a few miles from the house. Our stay was short but we're definitely hoping to return this summer for a longer stay and take advantage of the many things there are to do in the area.
Ginger thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home! We will be back!

This was our fourth or fifth trip to Sally Gap and as always we loved the cabin. We started coming here for our honeymoon and 4 years later we still love coming.
We wanted to simply sit on the porch and look at the mountains this trip and we were not disappointed. Our son, who is 2 and a half, loved walking beside the creek and the nearby pastures with horses, mules, cows, etc.
The cabin is well stocked with basic foodstuffs and a full array of kitchen utensils and cookware. They have games for kids and adults, information about local attractions, satellite TV, DVD player, small library of DVDs, wireless internet, a fireplace, an enormous upstairs tub (easily holds 2 adults), an enormous downstairs shower (again, 2+ adults could fit), and 3 comfortable beds.
Hayesville, NC is a short drive away with access to a large grocery store, gas stations, several restaurants, and a myriad of other businesses. The only evidence of the nearby town is during the night you can see a slight glow over the mountain from the lights.
The cabin is well located for numerous forays into the surrounding mountains. We love to hit Cherokee, NC and Helen, GA for the tourist shops. The Rocky Mountain Railroad is a great experience that we highly recommend.
