Our 6 night stay was a real delight. A quick walk to all of the transport options at Circular Quay. After a busy day of sightseeing, you come home to a quiet sanctuary. Our host was very accommodating. I highly recommend it.

We had a great stay here! The building has a neat history, and they have done a great job of turning it into an apartment. It had everything we could need to even enjoy an extended stay! It has a fully stocked kitchen and laundry. Sam was a fantastic hostess, giving us local recommendations. It's in a great, quiet spot, within easy walking distance of The Rocks and the harbour with all its activities. We loved staying here!

Lovely property, very comfy and well stocked with everything we needed. Our host was super helpful with any queries we had and had lots of great tips for our time in Sydney which was really helpful! Location was perfect for a city break, 10min walk to circular quay where we could visit Sydney opera house, the bridge and botanical gardens as well as a central location for public transport to many attractions in Sydney.
Definitely recommend!

This was the perfect location for our four days in Sydney. Sam was available to answer any questions and make recommendations. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance - bridge climb, Opera House tour, ferry to Watson Bay, etc. Would definitely stay there again if we’re lucky enough to get back.

Location, Location, Location.
The location of the property is fantastic. You can walk to so many of the great places to see within 20 minutes or less. We did walk to many of the places but sometimes took Uber's and the cost was very reasonable with the Ubers.
We as a family of 4 adults easily could sit in the living room and have a nice chat. It might be small but found that to be also comfortable.
Sam met my daughter when she arrived early and was so helpful, a wonderful person to say the least.
The fresh bread for toast in morning, along with the tea bags for tea was a very nice touch.
Only items I felt small negatives where the mattress on our bed was not built for a 6'1 205 lb person. There is no spring mattress which the allowed my body weight to sink to the hard surface and I woke up each morning a little sore on my hip. Not sure if it was just an older mattress or just too thin for a larger person.
The guest bath is not a bathtub, just a shower, and you have to step over a fairly high (30") curb into the tub to take a shower. Just an overall bad design.
All said, we really enjoyed the location and we would definitely stay again if we go back to Sydney which I am certain we will.

Quaint old cottage in the best possible position in Sydney.
Very helpful host, close to transport, food and lovely old Sydney Rocks area.
I don't think we could have chosen a better place to stay for a Sydney experience.
Loved it!

We found a hidden gem among The Rocks! Sam is a wonderful host, and the location couldn’t be more ideal. Situated in an historic part of Sydney, quiet and quaint, the space had more than enough room for our family of four. The location is very walkable with great access to restaurants and the activities of Circular Quay. If we plan another visit to Sydney, this will be at the top of list to stay again.

The property was in an excellent location - easy to get to and lots of places to eat and see within a short walk - easy access to the inner city too. Our host was so helpful and friendly - all in all a great place for four of us to rest our heads for the night. Would have liked to stay longer but we were on our way south.

We’ve live in Sydney, and decided to have 3 days staying in the city, chose this cottage. It was absolutely fantastic. So much to wander around and explore in Millers Point and the Rocks, lots of great pubs, and really friendly locals

Great property in the best location, easily walkable to the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and all that The Rocks has to offer. The property is very cute, clean, and had everything our family needed during our stay. The host, Sam, was very responsive and accommodating, meeting us there prior to check in so we could store our luggage. She also had many great local restaurant recommendations for us. Would definitely stay here again.

It is located walking distance (10-15 min) from major attractions, plenty of restaurants in the area. Bedrooms (2) are in the second floor by stairs. The property is in an historical heritage building, so layout and space distribution is a little unusual, which adds to the charm. The host is next door and readily available if needed ( we did not have any issues with the property).

This darling cottage was a great base for our one night stay before boarding our cruise. The Lord Nelson bar is right across the street, the neighborhood is very walkable and the hostess was very welcoming and helpful.

We had a fantastic time at your property despite the cyclonic weather. The apartment is funky and fabulous. Your customer service was first class. Thank you for going above and beyond to make our trip special.

Our family loved staying at the Rocks Cottages. The location was second to none. Quiet neighborhood but still close to everything. Sam gave us excellent recommendations on dining and activities. We really enjoyed our stay in Sydney and staying here was a large part of it. Plenty of room for our family of 5. We would definitely stay here again. Comfortable, clean, close to everything. Thank you, Rocks Cottages!

Great property! Great location! Walked everywhere. Wonderful restaurants and abundant pubs!

It was a lovely place but not comfortable for my family. We didnt feel like we could make any kind of noise due to the "rules" of the neighborhood and the property so we didnt spend much time there. The second bathroom has an enormeous tub that can only be used as a shower and is a bit precarious to get in/out of. It was very hot in Sydney when we were there and the A/C didnt work consistently. Sam was responsive when texted and would reset the breaker but at 1 am when it went out we were stuck in a hot house with no fan and no windows would open. Sam said the AC was overloaded but we would come back after being gone all day and it wouldnt turn on. It is a lovely property it just wasnt right for us for this trip ar this time.

Beautiful cottage in a great area. Well equipped and stunningly gorgeous heritage cottage. Close to everything and very comfortable. Thanks to Sam and Max for being such good hosts.

The property was perfect for 4, but wiuld be small for six in the living spaces. Bedrooms were large and clean. Location was perfect for getting around the city as it was close to several ferry and train stops, the bridge and cruise port. There is also lots of options for eating within a 10 minute walk. We truly enjoyed the property and Sam was great!

Great heritage property in the heart of the Rocks. Fabulous location, and cool suite. Sam was an excellent host and we had a great stay.
1.0 / 5.0
First, the property is absolutely darling and very chic.
You enter after crawling up about half a dozen uneven concrete steps with no railing, lugging your luggage with you, which was challenging even for the two of us who are NOT mobility challenged. Then you enter a gate (and two more steps) into a cute little courtyard. Then you can enter the house.
The house itself is two stories, which was easy to miss in the listing. The first floor held the living room and kitchen space. The living room space was very cramped, barely big enough for the three of us to sit, and not comfortably.
The second floor (which was up THREE flights of stairs) is where the bedrooms and bathrooms were located. The bedrooms were more spacious than the floor below. The bathrooms were nice looking, but not very practical. The main bathroom was cramped due to the large bathtub. The en suite bathroom was very chic looking, but the shower nozzle was not able to be adjusted at all, which was inconvenient. All three of us ended up using the shower in the en suite due to the large bathtub in the other bathroom being too large to step into.
The beds were rock hard, so none of us got a good night’s sleep. Our mobility challenged friend ended up staying upstairs once she made it to the top, rather than going out with the other two of us on an adventure. It was just too many stairs.
We left after the first night of 3 we paid for. It was just too uncomfortable for us all and difficult for our friend.

This is a great location if you want to be in the heart of the historical area of Sydney. Walking distance to everything! Great unit and great hosts! We had a super experience staying here even though we had bad weather.

This is a really comfortable and fun place to stay. The location in Sydney's historic Rocks area is incredible, and with the wonderful Barangaroo Reserve to explore as well, this makes it a truly remarkable find.
I had a little difficulty figuring out how to message the property manager at first, but ultimately WhatsApp worked well.
The house was nicely decorated with a nice patio area off the kitchen/living area.
I was surprised that the only bathroom was in one of the bedrooms- fine for me as I was staying alone, but could be a consideration for a larger group or family.
I had a really great stay!

Fantastic stay at a very unique and fun place. The Rocks is perfectly situated minutes from the harbor, not too mention local restaurants and the neatest swing hole in all of Sydney.
The Rocks is a perfect place to stay and has everything you need to ensure a fantastic vacation.

Had a lovely 1 night stay here in November, wish it could've been longer, but was an en-route stop off. Was such a lovely place to stay, such bold and funky decor in the lounge and kitchen, exactly as the photos - loved it on first impressions. Lounge/dining area was a bit cosy for 5 (4 adults and one 15yr old) but was fine really. The main bedroom was roomy with it's own bathroom, and separate main bathrooom, the 2nd bedroom had the 2 beds, which was fine for a family for 1 night, but might be squishy if 3 people for more than 2-3 nights. Both bathrooms updated. Beds weren't the most comfortable compared to other accomm we've stayed at, but were fine for our 1 night. The courtyard looked gorgeous, but we arrived too late to enjoy it unfortunately, due to noise consideration for other cottages close-by. Lovely group of historical cottages in great location near the Lord Nelson Brewery hotel and short walk from the Rocks, and Barangaroo Reserve. Check in process initially sounded a little confusing, but instructions made sense when you got there, and were met by a lovely host. One plus is having keypad access to property, so if have a group don't need to worry about multiple keys etc. Would stay there again definitely, loved it.
