Our stay at the farmhouse was magical. We loved the drive into the property it is very scenic! The house was clean, windows all around living and kitchen were brilliant to take in the views of the valley. We used the fireplace all day each day we stayed and it made the stay cozy. The host was warm, friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here and we will definitely be back!

From the very beginning this stay has been one of the best we've had. Communication with the property manager was very quick, very informative. They checked if we were happy to access via dirt / wet roads and no phone reception til we get to the property. We have 4WD's so access was very easy for us. The directions given by the property manager were precise and accurate - we had no issues at all! Once we arrived we could just feel our spirits start to unwind and relax. The background of song birds was very soothing. The little touches left by the property manager were very appreciated. There was plenty of firewood, plenty of gas for the BBQ. The bed was set up in the loft for the child in our party. Wifi was used well with Netflix in the loft TV. We drove home from our event at 1am and had no issues with navigation. It really felt like a home-away-from-home. We wanted for nothing. Had lunch and breakfast at the local pub and cafe. The people in town were very friendly with lots of recommendations. We will definitely be back to stay at Bell Bird Farmhouse again for some down-time!

We booked for our wedding. There was bad communication the year leading up (very late replies/needing to both text & message on Stayz to get a response). It wasn’t until a few days beforehand that I was advised not to get a fancy car for my wedding because it wouldn’t make it. It was just lucky that I hadn't booked one, or that would’ve been money down the drain. When we got there, the driveway/house was 10 minutes off-road. It was wet and our cars were sliding along the dirt cliff-edge, almost getting bogged. This was stressful as I needed myself, my bridesmaids, the videographer, photographer, and the hair/makeup artists to all have FWD’s to make it. We ended up having to switch accomodation with people who had a FWD. I understand the owner “can’t control the weather” (that’s a direct quote), but she should inform people about this before they book. Imagine if we booked it for my elderly grandparents, and they had to drive their little hatchback after dark?!
In addition to this, a few days before the wedding, I had been advised by my wedding coordinator that the bridge to BellBird often floods & that I should sus out how close it is to flooding with the owner. I spoke to the owner and she was very unhelpful. She told me she “can’t control the weather” and if I can’t get to BellBird then I can’t get to my venue anyway (which other Wollombi residents disagreed with). All I wanted to know was how close her bridge was to flooding, and I had to push and push to get this answer. I ended up having to get a Wollombi resident to drive out and take a picture for me.
In all, the house is fine, but the description of the terrain and the owners communication is not.
Sincerely, P.O.

Beautiful property
Bellbird is a beautiful farm house it’s an absolutely gorgeous building as is the scenery . However we were advised it’s along a dirt track which we thought would be fine . The dirt track is actually around a kilometre long with twists and turns heading deep into the valley , not suitable for a Mazda 3 sedan . 4 wheel drive / Ute would be more suitable . It’s quite an intimidating drive along this track . My mother , daughter and I had to stay elsewhere lastnight after the wedding we attended as there was no way I was driving down that long dangerous track at night time My son stayed at the property , he got dropped off at the driveway and walked down to the property which took him around half an hour . My brother had to go pick him up this morning in his Ute as I still wasn’t happy driving my Mazda down there . This was disappointing as we paid a lot of money but had to relocate due to accessing the property . It is a beautiful property but really needs to be accessed via 4 Wheel drive vehicles

Tranquillity and comfort
Plenty of space and beautiful views. The only part you won’t enjoy is having to leave. Highly recommend.

Bellbird beauty!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. We wanted for nothing. Everything we needed was there. Beautiful scenery with a touch of wildlife. Very relaxing and a great place to unwind. Didn’t want to leave.
