We had a great stay it's a perfect beach house walking distance to Miramar beach. The house is clean and beautiful and it looks like a Serena and Lily magazine. The kids enjoyed staying upstairs and the house had everything we needed including boogie boards.

My family and I had a lovely stay. This house is small but dreamy and we loved the walkability. Would recommend.

Overall, enjoyed the property. Nice quiet place with lots to do nearby.

The house is charming, with exquisite and well maintained gardens. It’s very clean, good water pressure, nice location, comfortable beds, fans in every room, good kitchen appliances, rooms well appointed with linens and towels. Kitchen and bath cabinets are slightly dated but not a problem in any way. May I suggest a small hotel safe in a closet for small valuables? I would gladly stay here again.

The property is beautiful. Very stylish decor, super comfortable bedding, and wonderful outdoor spaces. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the outdoor seating area, played ping pong in the afternoon, and walked to the beach. The home is very well appointed, with ample towels, bikes, and a well stocked kitchen. We rented the house with another family and it was a great space for the adults and kids. You can hear the train go by so if you are a very light sleeper it may disturb you. We would definitely stay here again.

Very put together and comfortable house with emphasis on outdoor spaces and living. Perfect for our family of five. Lots to do for kids - ping pong, hot tub, beach nearby, great large kids bedroom and hang out spot. Location was also a big plus - walk to Miramar and close proximity to coast village road, butterfly beach, and great hiking spots in Montecito and Santa Barbara, etc. We’d love to be back!

This home is truly one of the better properties we have rented in a very long time. It is so well kept and managed that we will compare it to other properties in the future.
Granted the home is older, it is still very charming, very clean and well kept as I mentioned. The property management company was beyond helpful and the concierge service they have partnered with made our trip that much easier.
Truly, it was such an enjoyable experience, I would not hesitate to rent here again.

We were a group of girlfriends who came out to celebrate a 40th birthday. This house was absolutely perfect and even better than described. The location was amazing with just a 5 minute walk to the beach. We went to the beach club at Miramar one day for a light lunch and drinks and it was so fun and walkable. Drove to Ojai just 45 minutes away and we were able to get up in the mountains and the drive itself was gorgeous. One morning half the group went down to the beach for a morning walk and the other half went for a hike that was just 10 min away. Easy distance to catch an uber into Santa Barbara and check out funk zone and walking distance to Montecito [we went to Oliver's for dinner and would highly recommend!]. We all said that we wished we had booked longer so we could just enjoy being at the house more. We took advantage of some dips in the hot tub and a glass of wine but if our stay was longer we would have just stayed at the house and taken advantage of the great outdoor set up for dinner and played ping pong in the garage, and used the beach cruisers. We would 100% come back to this house again! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We stayed in this house over spring break: ourselves, our two young kids, and my parents. It worked well; my 5yo took over the upstairs loft (which has beds), and the downstairs bedrooms worked for my parents, ourselves, and our 3yo.
This house is perfect. Clean, well-appointed. Lovely outdoor spaces (outside dining next to kitchen, great front porch, great game room and garden in the back). Most importantly, this house is a very short walk to the beach.
The only *very* minor issue we encountered were some ants in the house (coinciding with a rainy spell). It wasn't a big deal, and the property mgmt were very responsive (they offered to send someone over, which we declined b/c it wasn't a big problem). Not in any way a dealbreaker (we would very happily stay in this house again!)

We loved our stay at Sand Dollar Retreat. One block from the beach, very clean home in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. The property is very close to downtown Montecito and had all the amenities we were looking for. In addition, the property is just as advertised or better. Very clean and comfortable!

The house was as described, clean, well stocked and lovely. We could not have enjoyed it more unless we had more time! We would stay again at SandDollar. Thank you!.

Adorable cottage steps from the beach. So comfortable and homey. All the amenities you could want and the best location in Montecito. Close enough to walk to the beach with your coffee every morning. The hot tub was an added bonus. Loved all the outdoor spaces for sitting and reading. Perfect home away from home for visiting our daughter that’s in college at UCSB!

I loved the decor in this adorable, little beach house! I also loved the location and proximity to the Rosewood, the beach, and downtown Montecito. We were there during a heatwave with temperatures up to 96 so it was a bit tough without AC, but I don’t think many homes in the area have AC.

Nicely furnished and very comfy. Great kitchen for our needs. Just had drinks and snacks but there were so many glasses and plates them at we didn’t need to run a half empty dishwasher!

Amazing Stay!
We have been coming to SB for many years and were delighted to find this gem. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. You can't beat the location and we loved walking to the beach and the Rosewood Hotel. The kid's area on the second floor was a hit as well. We felt it was managed very well and any request we had was met. Can't wait to come back again

Excellent spot for enjoying Santa Barbara
Great spot with all the amenities. Walking distance from Miramar beach and a quick drive to other beaches (Butterfly, Santa Barbara). The house is older, but upgraded and immaculate. Super easy check-in and stay. Especially appreciated the EV charging in the garage.

Girls getaway
My most favorite place ever! Wonderful location walking distance to ocean and peaceful retreat. So many places on the property to relax and savor you don’t even need to leave. It felt like my own home, as every detail had been thought of! Plenty of room for everyone to find their own space or congregate together. I won’t stay anyplace else. Well worth the money 😊

Charming Bungalow in Montecito
Beautifully restored Craftsman Style home sitting in a lush garden surrounded by 7’ high privacy hedges, bougainvilleas, jasmine, citrus and palm trees. Ultra clean and well equipped for our three daughters, their husbands, and one infant granddaughter, and my wife and I. We used the beach chairs, bicycles. and hot tub. Truly paradise in Montecito.

Sand Dollar was very nice and a convenient location - close to the beach, close to town...The house itself was comfortable and clean and the ping pong table outside was a nice bonus. A couple of things to note:1. TV was small - not a problem for us as we didn't watch much TV but something to note if your group is into sports games, etc.2. The house is in a neighborhood - not secluded. Again, not a problem but just something to consider if you want more space/privacyOverall a nice place and we had a great time!

This house is great , It is a cute house. The only problem is the neighbor.we were starting dinner and cooking on the Bbq and two of us were on the side of the house cooking and talking and the crazy women behind the hedge told us to shut up.We were shocked . We went inside ok and continued our evening . The house and location are great . We took excellent care of the home and I believe it should be cleaned to get spiders and cob webs cleaned before guest arrive. The kitchen is limited .so if your cooking bring cookie sheets , Other than that we would stay again.

We spent a week at sand dollar retreat and greatly enjoyed our vacation. I would agree with the other reviewers that the upstairs loft is probably better suited for kids older than 5. The house is well furnished and the kitchen/entertaining areas ideal for barbecuing, large group dinners. The doors opening to the outdoor patio give a nice entertaining option when weather is less than ideal. Although the house is somewhat equipped for children, a baby gate would make the upstairs much safer and the wagon in the garage had no wheels which made beach gear transportation more challenging. Paradise retreats was quick to respond to any maintenance requests and allowed us to replace some kitchen items, etc which were promptly reimbursed.Walking to the beach is easy, even with small children. The walk to th village is less appealing and requires crossing a freeway overpass, but doable depending on your stroller situation and how motivated you are to avoid the car. Love the area and all the fun activities for children...beach, zoo, aquarium, etc. would definitely stay again!

We spent 5 nights at the Sand Dollar Resort and overall enjoyed the accommodations. There were a couple things that would have been nice to know beforehand that may have influenced our decision to choose this home. First, we had to drive everywhere. The village is close, but not walkable. We have 3 little children (oldest is 4) so it was car seats and parking each time. We spent most days out and about so it wasn't a deal breaker, but it would have been nice for breakfasts or to take a stroll. The attic/loft area would be great for kids older than ours. My 3 year old loved the rocking dolphin toy, but was scared of the beds, especially the one at the top of the stairs. The attic was also very bright due to skylights so it was hard for the boys to fall asleep and they were up with the sun (not exactly my idea of vacation). It was also not really insulated so it would get really warm if you didn't remember to open all the windows before leaving for the day. And then it would really cool off at night and my littles were cold. Again, older children would stay under the covers, but mine are still too squirmy. But there was a TV, beanbags, cool nooks to hide/hang out in, own bathroom, so again, awesome for probably 7 years and up - including teenagers. The backyard was also great for that age range with a ping pong table, hot tub, etc. The home's amenities were top-notch. Luxurious bed linens, like pillow top bed and duvets in every room. Kitchen was well appointed. Each time I thought of something I needed I was able to find it. We had the refrigerator go out during our stay and the manager responded immediately with a replacement while the other was being repaired. The DVD player was a nice feature but the movie collection was limited. We brought some blue-rays to watch but they didn't work in the DVD player. Thankfully there was NetFlix plus cable television once the kids were in bed. Because of our baby's naps, we spent mornings on the property which were beautiful. We especially enjoyed sipping coffee on the front porch. The houses are all close together, but the mature landscaping makes it seem like you have a lot more space. Overall, we would recommend this home for families, with grade school aged children or older.
