About this house rental
This comfortable and cozy 1920 semi detached house is just a stone’s throw from the sea and is just a 10 minute walk to the royal harbour, sandy beaches (and the town centre), where you will find many bars and restaurants. The well run and largest Wetherspoons in the UK, with its beach front outdoor decks can also be found in the harbour. On the ground floor of the house, there is a cosy lounge with a log burner. The sofas are electric recliners. There is a 43” Smart TV. Virgin super fast fibre broadband (300mbps)is provided together with Virgin 360 TV (pause, rewind and record),access to catch up TV and your Amazon Prime and Netflix accounts if required. There is a separate dining room with period range (non working). A Bose Bluetooth dock is provided for music. There is a small but well equipped kitchen with access to a small shower and WC( main bathroom is upstairs) Outside is a lovely secluded and fenced court yard with comfortable furniture to relax and dine in warmer weather. Upstairs boasts a lovely large master bedroom that has sea glimpses, period features, Smart TV and a super king bed. The second bedroom has a double bed. On this floor is a large bathroom complete with a roll top free standing bath. There is free off street parking with ample availability in the road or the surrounding streets. The lovely town of Broadstairs is a 35-40 minute cliff top walk to the East and Pegwell Bay is equidistant to the west. The cliff tops boast wide promenades with good marked cycle tracks. If you wish to stay without a car, there are excellent local bus services including the “Loop” bus which serves all of the local towns, including Broadstairs, Cliftonville and Margate and runs very frequently (usually every 8 minutes). Also serviced by the Loop bus is the large Westwood Cross retail park and the QEQM hospital.. The train station is just under a mile from the house.
We prefer to offer the house child and pet free.
There is gas central heating through out the house.
NB for guests; the shower is downstairs and whilst perfectly functional, is on the small side. We didn’t want to spoil the freestanding Bath in the main bathroom on the first floor by erecting a shower curtain.
We provide a Charbroil gas BBQ, but guests must bring their own patio gas and must clean it after use.
A small starter pack of logs and kindling will be provided.
This house is an ideal base for a lovely break or holiday on the Thanet coast.

We were two friends visiting Ramsgate for the first time. This house is well located to Ramsgate's sights, restaurants, etc., and just a 30-minute walk to Broadstairs or Pegwell Bay, both of which were also lovely to see. The house was the perfect size for the two of us - the small downstairs bathroom is indeed small, but didn't bother us. The house has all the cooking/dining implements you might need and Julie and Cliff were communicative the entire time. We loved our stay!

The property was better than described, the pictures didnt really do it justice. The shower was bigger than we expected from the advert. The house was clean and tidy and well equipped, you would be hard pushed to find fault with any of it. The area was nice with easy access to Ramsgate Town and the surrounding towns.

This property has everything you need, all kitchen items available, 2 bathrooms, the downstairs one is small but does the job. Towels provided if you need them, well decorated property with some lovely features. Comfy beds, slept very well. Only issue we had was parking but found a spot within 100 yards every day.
Short walk to beach, park and town centre, would recommend and have done.

Fabulous Holiday Home!
Wow! This warm and welcoming house is quite possibly one of the best UK holiday rentals we've stayed in, particularly when it comes to quality, comfort, cleanliness and upkeep.
The property is in an ideal location - it is only two roads back from the seafront, so it's an easy stroll to the coastal road, and yet far enough away from the sea to avoid any problems with noise, traffic or parking. Plus its a pleasurable walk into the town centre and picturesque harbour with plenty of takeaways and restaurants to choose from. The house also sits just round the corner from a handy corner-shop and a chippy, with a big Aldi a little further on.
Inside the property, we enjoyed the bright and roomy bedrooms, each with big comfy beds. We had fast and reliable wifi ,which thoroughly impressed the teenager in our party. We also appreciated having been left ample supplies of extras for the bathroom and kitchen, which you wouldn't normally expect to find.
It also has an appealing secluded back garden with quality garden furniture and lovely outdoor lighting, perfect for alfresco dining.
There was lots on info supplied with the house and we were happy to do some of the activities recommended by the owners, in particular the enjoyable clifftop walk to Broadstairs.
We had a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to holiday in the area.

Home from Home
Beautiful quiet house, within walking distance of the beach, shops and port. For lovers of baths, you'll be spoilt for choice, there are TWO as well as shower. My daughter was thrilled.

A home away from home
From the moment we arrived we could see that the property was immaculate from the outside in. The second we walked through the front door, the house felt so warm and inviting, which is exactly what you’re looking for when you’ve booked a break in December!
A massive bonus to us was that there was ample parking because we have stayed at so many places where you have to pay for parking and then carry your stuff for ages to reach the property. We took out our car several times and every time we returned, we managed to park just outside of the property.
This house is a perfect location and is a ten minute walk away from the harbour where we found lots of great restaurants and bars. We ate in Margate on Saturday and this again was only a twelve minute drive! So the property is perfectly located if you wanted to explore Ramsgate, Margate and Broadstairs in a weekend. From the recommendations of the hosts, we ate in La Magnolia on the harbour front in Ramsgate and it was lovely! Was nice to be on a weekend away, both be able to have a drink and be only a ten minute walk home.
The amenities in the house itself were great, we’re big foodies and love eating out when we’re on holiday, however, should we have wished to cook a meal in, there was absolutely everything you could have needed, ample cutlery, cups, glasses, baking trays, plates, I mean really, it was a fully stocked kitchen!
We feel as though the hosts had considered everything because they had put together a book of all local things to do, taxi numbers, local takeaway restaurants etc! Everything we would want to find in a place we’re staying in for the weekend, we found at this place, my partner even called it ‘a home away from home’ and it really was!
The bed was comfortable and massive and the living room was honestly the cosiest place on earth! There’s a beautiful log burner in the living room which is such a gorgeous touch to enjoy whilst watching a movie. Both TVs in the property were smart TVs so we could log in to our Netflix/Amazon etc!!!
We couldn’t recommend this property anymore and in fact, we’re planning to return in the summer so we can make use of the beautiful garden area.
Ramsgate is a stunning and clearly upcoming area and we feel like we struck gold finding this property
Thanks so much Julie and Cliff. We will be back.
