About this chalet rental
The cottage was completely renovated inside and out in March 2022 and completely new and super nice furnishings! It is a nice house for families, but it is also wonderful to stay here with just the two of you.
This cozy detached holiday home has a spacious garden all around with lots of privacy in the park as it is located on the edge of the park.
The cottage has its own sun terrace with an attached pergola (if you also want to sit outside but in the shade or when it rains) and is located in the middle of the woods on the Veluwe with its own free private parking space in the driveway.
Free Wi-Fi and internet are available throughout the cottage and garden.
The cottage has two bedrooms, an en-suite bathroom and an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area.
The living room has French doors to the garden and a bay window which makes the house very light. There is also a workplace (desk) with lamp and connection for a labtop, so handy if you have to work!
One bedroom has a 2-person Queen-size bed with a large wardrobe and the other smaller bedroom has a bunk bed with an extra trundle bed underneath, so you can sleep 3 (children) here. There are two standing fans in the house for the bedrooms.
You have a private bathroom with a spacious shower, toilet and large sink with plenty of storage space for your toiletries.
The kitchen is fully furnished, fully equipped and well equipped (microwave, oven and 4 burner gas stove), so there is a Nespresso machine as well as a filter coffee machine and a toaster, all completely new.
There is an extra camp bed with mattress and blanket (0 to 2 years) and a high chair (from 3 years). There are also many books, magazines, comics, board games, children's books and outdoor toys.
You can rent bicycles at the park, there is a restaurant/café, a large playground and a washing machine/dryer that you can use.
Smell the forest air, hear the birds chirping and see a deer or squirrel in the woods or on the heath.
It is wonderful to walk, cycle and rest here in the fresh clean forest air on the Veluwe and with all its forests where most of the game in the Netherlands can still be seen: go looking for the Big Five of the Veluwe!!
Visit one of the beautiful Hanseatic cities (including Deventer or Zutphen), the various castles (including Paleis 't Loo), estates (including the Staverden estate) or the various museums (including the Kroller Muller museum with various paintings by Van Gogh, among others). ). But there are also a lot of things to do with children in the area: visit the many amusement parks, climbing forests, sheepfolds, playgrounds, water park or the Dolfinarium, De Apenheul, Burgers Zoo, Julianatoren, Aqua Mundo or Walibi, almost all within half an hour to ride!
You can also reach the Heerderstrand in fifteen minutes, where you can enjoy a nice swim, and you can reach the Veluwemeer in less than half an hour, where you can also enjoy a swim or visit one of the many beaches!
For some good shopping you can go to Zwolle, Arnhem or Harderwijk.
All supermarkets, shops and the large market square with all terraces in Epe are a few km away from the house and can be reached within 5-7 minutes by bike.

We (Wife and Puppy) had a great stay at "Tiny House op de Veluwe". The house is well equipt and the location was great (lots to do in the surrounding area, especially if you like nature). We were looking for a place to relax and this is exactly what we got. The only thing I would add is that the house did not have an enclosed fence (maybe I missed this in the ad) which made it a bit tricky with a puppy. This is not a criticism though and wont stop us from visiting again!
