About this apartment rental

Easy to find (when you know the way!) from the shop-lined Campo San Bartolomeo and Salizada San Lio on one of Venice’s canal-encircled ‘islands within an island’, these imaginatively furnished apartments offer Wi-Fi and a communal laundry room and are spread across 4 floors with all upper floors reached by stairs.
Highly contemporary in style, air-conditioned** throughout and ranging from a charming studio for 4 to a fabulous penthouse with rooftop terrace, Corte Rubbi’s 10 apartments sleep up to 42 guests if booked exclusively and include:

OUR COMMENT
A handsome 3-bedroom beauty brimming with style and joie de vivre, in a vibrant, central and endlessly fascinating part of town.
A few steps away from the 18th-century church of Santa Maria Della Fava and close to a host of famous sights and attractions including the atmospheric Venetian time-capsule that is the Querini Stampalia, the fabulous Palazzo Grimani just off Campo Santa Maria Formosa, the Church of San Zaccaria with its crypt and wonderful Bellini altarpiece, and Vivaldi’s La Pietà on the sunny Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront…
… A short stroll towards a very sedate pace of life lived out amongst the tranquil calles, canals and green spaces of Castello with its laid-back and very genuine neighbourhood vibe…
… Or rise with the lark to embrace the atmosphere of St. Mark’s Square (‘the Piazza’) gloriously near-empty before its visitors arrive… or visit at night when the orchestras of Quadri and Florian play*, the bells of the Campanile (bell tower) toll, the marble of the Doge’s Palace glows, and the mosaics of the Basilica shimmer in the darkness…
Close to a host of shops, restaurants and bars including the much-lauded Alle Testiere, the upmarket Bistrot de Venise and Alle Corone of the nearby Hotel Reali, the charming Osteria Al Portego (delicious cicheti!) and Osteria Ae Sconte, plus Ristorante Santa Maria Formosa with its tables on the campo.
Also within easy reach of 4 well-stocked supermarkets – a Despar at Calle al Ponte de la Guerra, a COOP at Salizada San Lio, and a COOP and a Despar on the Riva del Carbon (near the Rialto Bridge), along with a ‘Vino Sfuso’ (wine on tap) shop on Calle del Mondo Novo and a greengrocer’s stand at Campo Santa Maria Formosa.
Within a short stroll of the vaporetto (water bus) stop at Rialto for exploring the city, the ‘Traghetto’ gondola ferry carrying passengers across the Grand Canal between the Riva Del Carbon and San Silvestro in the San Polo district and the vaporetto (water bus) stop at San Zaccaria for trips around town, visits to the Lido beaches and to the Biennale Pavilions at Arsenale and Giardini.

This property is top notch! All of the 10/10 reviews are accurate. Space is very comfortable. The air conditioning works amazingly well in every room; a nice reprieve on hot Venice days. Beds were all very comfortable. The bathtub was a unique and cool feature that we also enjoyed. The building itself is beautiful too. Property managers were all friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Corte Rubbi. Communication leading up to our stay and check in were seamless. We were personally greeted and shown to our apartment by a friendly employee of Views on Venice. The apartment is in a great location, tucked into a quiet corner of the city with easy access to everything. There were 2 short staircases followed by a longer flight of stairs …. a bit tricky getting the luggage up if you overpack like I did, but totally doable and worth it once you get there. Highly recommend staying at Corte Rubbi. Air conditioning worked great, which is critical during the hot peak season months.

Perfect little home and location for our quick trip to Venice.

Having stayed in Venice previously several times enjoy this neighborhood. It is very central to everything that we enjoy doing. The apartment was very attractive and clean. Their staff was very responsive to any needs or requests prior to and during our stay. We will work with this company again as they were very professional. This is as close to having a concierge at a hotel available to you as I have experienced from a VRBO.

We stayed the second time in this beautiful apartment for Venice carnival. The location is brilliant as everything can be reached easily and in no time.

This is a beautifully updated apartment in a fantastic location in venice. No elevator, so be prepared to scale a few flights of stairs, but well worth it. Great communication with property manager, they were very helpful.

The apartment was first class and recommend to anyone. Its location is perfect as very central. The only one thing I would advise is you need to be fit to climb the four flights of stairs. Apart from that stay here, it’s amazing !

This apartment and building are beautiful. Fully renovated to a very high standard. You can admire the old floors and wood beams from the moment you step into the hallway. The apartment itself was clean, tidy and secure with plenty of amenities. The walls and floors are solid so you cannot hear other guests in neighbouring properties unlike some I have stayed in before in Venice. Highly recommend. The only thing to note about this property are the amount of stairs you have to climb. It was fine for me and my wife but my mum struggled a little bit but it didn't ruin her trip whatsoever. The company arranged a porter for us on the last day to take our bags from the apartment door to the water taxi at a very reasonable cost.
Nothing!

Delighted with our apartment and its fabulous location.
Very luxurious and stylish with all those little touches.
Concierge services were excellent despite the slight hick up on arrival with our taxi to meet the water transport to our appartment.
Your light switches were a little tricky to use - understand their design and colour worked in with all the design elements/look of the apartment but not easy to putEuropean plug
adapters. My adult children agreed too!

The place is better than the pictures. It was simply beautiful, silent for sleeping at night and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend.

We came to visit carnival in Venice for the first time and had an absolute blast. Apartment is super conveniently located and everything can be reached on foot. Agency was super helpful. Highly recommended.

Our group consisted of two couples. We rented the unit for 10 days, and it worked out incredibly well. Indeed, the location is excellent once you find it. You are close to everything, and especially close to the Rialto bridge, as you lose your way, it’s a very convenient landmark to have. The apartment is modern with ancient touches! The modern part is the good part, USB ports, lots of outlets, good lighting and a washer and dryer that make travel much more convenient. Great communication with Annalisa, who took care of some minor problems while we were there. The kitchen is adequate, there is no oven but there is an induction cook top. There are plenty of pots and pans although it’s a little hard to imagine doing a full dinner. Small refrigerator, minimal storage space but again, you are not there to make dinner! Lots of coffee cups, wine glasses and plates. Really great beds, which is also important at the end of a long tourist day!
This apartment is at the top of three flights of stairs, and that was a bit of a challenge at the end of a long tourist day but we decided ultimately was good excercise. One caveat, it is tempting to leave your windows open for the night air but at the point of this review, there are no screens on the windows. And the Italian mosquitoes are some thing!! So we kept our windows closed. There’s a good internal ventilation/air conditioning system that made us very comfortable. Overall, this is a wonderful way to have a Home in Venice. Highly recommend it!

Ajouter quelques ustensiles / vaisselles.
Nous avons eu un problème de chauffage un soir heureusement possible de mettre les clims réversibles mais quand même moins agréables car bruyantes. Le problème a été résolu le lendemain matin après avoir passe un peu de temps le soir au téléphone avec une responsable.
