About this apartment rental
A luxury, short term rental experience located in the heart of historic Blowing Rock, North Carolina. The Reinhardt Rooms, formally the Parkway Hotel, is newly renovated and decorated by acclaimed interior designer Molly Northern. The Reinhardt Rooms combine simple mountain contemporary design with a historic, southern hospitality and aura.
The Reinhardt Rooms are located directly in the heart of historic Blowing Rock. Stay here to be able to walk and explore our great hallmark town.
Unit No 2 is our smallest space in the building however, it comes with all of the amenities of the other two units. It is complete with a full living room with a pullout sofa bed, dining area, kitchen, washer/dryer, full bathroom, bedroom , and deck access.
The Reinhardt Rooms are located Right in the heart of Main Street, Blowing Rock. Walk to any of the shops or restaurants in our awesome town. You can unload in the "Loading Zone," then park full-time in our reserved spot in the lifted parking lot behind First Citizens Bank.
Before booking our property, please read:
1. This is an extremely old building, actually it is one of the oldest in Blowing Rock (1924). It isn’t perfect. Sometimes the water takes a little longer to heat up and the windows leak during “gully washer” storms. With that being said, we love it anyway and are constantly making improvements.
2. We live in a true “hallmark” town. While it is an awesome community, calling someone to fix a problem is often met with “I can put you down for next week” (The sense of urgency is not always there).
3. This is not our full time job. We have other priorities including dogs, school, mothers-in-laws, etc. We will do the best we can if a problem comes up, but please know we have to balance a big family.
4. If you plan on staying with us during the week, please know that the building receives commercial deliveries Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Often, these deliveries happen between 6-7am. They are not there long but it could be noisy. The overall street is very quaint but the building is situated near other restaurants that get deliveries throughout the week. Please let me know if you have any questions about this point prior too booking.
With that out of the way, we will do everything in our ability to make sure you have the best experience possible. Blowing Rock is an amazing place filled with amazing people and amazing things to do. We hope that you will give us a chance! -The Northerns

Great location.
Rocky start as unit wasn’t clean when we arrived.
Manager was called and immediately took care of the error.
Austin came to make sure we were good, cleaning people
Kind and thorough.
They went beyond to make sure we were taken care of and satisfied.
In life mistakes happen, it’s how you handle them that makes a difference. Bravo!
I would recommend this unit to anyone and everyone.
Updated, convenient, clean, comfortable, perfect spot.
Will definitely stay again.

I, my daughter, and her two kids enjoyed the stay immeasurably. Nothing fancy, but more than adequate, and clean. Best spot in Blowing Rock to spend the weekend.

My wife and I stayed here over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We have stayed in blowing rock many times, but never in a location where you can step right onto Main Street. The interior is very simple and clean with everything you could need. He had a great shower. We hope to stay here again someday.

Great 4 days in Blowing Rock! Able to explore and enjoy downtown! Love the convenience of being on Main Street and being able to enjoy the apartment rain or shine. The whole process was very easy without any problems. Thank you so much for sharing your property!

We would highly recommend this vacation rental and hope to go back soon! This was the perfect spot to enjoy Blowing Rock for a long weekend. We have always loved Blowing Rock but normally take day trips to the area. It was so relaxing not to think about parking and to be able to walk to all the key shops and cafes. Also close to great hiking spots! The Reinhardt rooms are very clean and freshly decorated. They did a nice job renovating yet honoring the historic charm of the building. Bonus…Blue Deer cookies is downstairs…so, sometimes we could smell freshly baked cookies and coffee drifting upstairs. Austin was a very accommodating and responsive host. The room we initially booked was unavailable due to renovation/maintenance, so Austin upgraded us to a larger room before we arrived. He also dropped off warm cookies and a welcome packet the first evening we arrived. If you are trying to decide whether on not to book…book it! It is every bit as charming as the photos and a lovely way to experience Blowing Rock.

Location was great. We rent in the area a lot, but usually have our dog with us so renting here was never an option. Glad we did, the apartment has been recently updated and done with taste. Appliances, counters, sink, hvac, and about everything else in the place have been done in a quality manner. The décor was done tastefully and a suprise to us was the nice deck off the back with a great sitting area. We did run into an issue with the water pressure, but was quickly resolved once we told the owner(Building has a water filtration system and just needed a filter replacement). Only complaint we had was the kitchen needs to expands its inventory of cooking utensils etc. Probably not a big deal for most, but we had just traveled from the coast and had a good amount of food that we prepared ourselves. With that said, we would stay there in a heartbeat. The location could not be better, just be aware there is a narrow staircase to lug you luggage up, but that goes with the territiry when you stay in a cool old historic building.

The properties location can’t be beat. However, I was surprised how sparse the property was with details. No checklist upon entering or leaving the property, such as thermostat control, tv controls (which yes, are basic), cleaning requirements etc. this property has obviously been redone recently as it is very clean and appliances look to have never been used. No ice tray in freezer. We are in our early 60s and most likely would stay in a higher quality place. One definitely needs to come with everything if you stay here. Parking is also not onsite, which I may have missed in listing.

Location. Shopping. Eats. If you’re active, this place is for YOU! Climb the stairs to a bright, charming, and cozy one bedroom apartment that sits above retail shops. Walk Main Street for cute shops, stop in at Blowing Rock Brewery for a flight of beer then walk next door to the mellow mushroom for pizza or make a reservation at the specked trout for dinner, which is just across the street. Grab your car keys and take a ride up to grandfather mountain to see the bears and walk across the swinging bridge, make the loop to valle cruis for old fashioned candy store before pulling into Boone for lunch at the stick boy kitchen and walk around appy state. All in all a weekend of fun memory making.

The location is fantastic. We had no issues accessing the property. The shower faucet knob in our unit was somewhat loose which made it difficult to adjust the temperature and I had to look up how to use the thermostats, but everything was beautiful and clean. These apartments are perfect for the teen to 40’s range. Older individuals or families with younger children may have issues with accessibility do to all rooms being on the 2nd floor which are only accessible by staircases.

By the description and reviews I had high expectations for this vacation rental. I was not even an ounce disappointed. My husband and I visit Blowing Rock several times a year and we usually stay at a couple of the "boutique" motels. This time I decided to do something different and booked this rental for essentially the same costs. The place was immaculate and had everything you could need. Extremely clean and bright and airy. And talk about location!! The owners supplied helpful areas of interest and detailed instructions for your stay. Also, a nice little welcome gift. We loved it and we can't wait to book again!

Having stayed in Boone many times, this was our first stay in Blowing Rock. Although there for the football game, it was also our Anniversary, so we wanted something different. This property did not disappoint! Easy check in and great communication. Location was fabulous, interior was very clean, and we enjoyed our stay. Perfect option for a couple looking for a weekend getaway!

Place and location was great!! Check in was easy with just a very small hiccup. The only suggestion is to pay a little extra for soft toilet paper! We truly enjoyed your VRBO. Thanks!

This is in a great location right in the heart of downtown Blowing Rock and completely walkable to all the shops and restaurants. It’s a great space for 2. We had 4 which was 2 too many. My 73 year old mother was also with us and we were not told that in order to access the space you had to go up a very narrow and steep set of stairs. With suitcases and my mother it was not somewhere I would stay again. My mother is in shape but the stairs, even without luggage, were a bit much. The space was clean but the deck out back has stairs into an alley. The light outside didn’t work so once we were in and the sun went down we could not enjoy the deck. It was pitch black out there. We had trouble getting the heat on but we’re tended to quickly by the property manager. The water pressure is extremely low and hot water is almost nonexistent. It was not the place for us but could be great for others. I do think listing in the details that steep stairs are the only access would be helpful for those looking for somewhere to stay.

The Best Location for Blowing Rock!
We had a great time. The property was in great shape, clean, had no problem with local TV or streaming services, which is unusual in many VRBO rentals. Less than five minutes to a major grocery store if you want to save some cash and use the kitchen. We did so for some breakfasts because there’s too much morning beauty to ne sitting in a restaurant.
You know what they say about real estate… location, location, location. This place is smack dab in the middle of everything in Blowing Rock. Literally four steps to ice cream outside your front door. Five minute walk away from a beautiful little lady in multi mile hiking trails. Shops galore. Beauty everywhere. We could not get over all of the different variations of flowers and plants up and down Main Street. Great locally owned restaurants and coffee shops everywhere.
We will definitely be back!

LOCATION
I stayed in the unit with my husband and 6 year old son. We absolutely loved it! The location was perfect. We wanted to be able to walk to local restaurants and to get ice cream and other treats. My son especially loved walking to the playground. It was a perfect place to stay for a few nights. I especially enjoyed the deck off the back of the unit. We will definitely be back!

First time in this property
Nicely renovated upper level of older building adjacent to Mellow Mushroom. Was very comfortable for 2, but I think it could get crowded quickly if you added 1 or 2 more
