This home was so Amazing. Most of the windows in the house face the water. Loved having the two livingroom areas. Kids in one and adults in the other. Love the fact that there were bedrooms on the first floor for those who had hard time with stairs. Nick was Awesome. He answered all my questions and was very accommodating. My Family and I definitely recommend this home.

We all had a great time. My husband's three kids and their families joined us for his birthday. It was raining much of the time, so we didn't get to utilize the huge deck (and we only stayed one night). The house had plenty of room for all of us. It was nicely decorated and clean.

Our family goes to the National Farm Machinery Show and Tractor Pulls every year. We have stayed 2 years in this house on the river, it has a beautiful view, the house is very nice and host very easy to work with.

Positives:
Very clean, comfortable for the most part, and very spacious
85% newly renovated
Big deck with great riverfront views
Good WiFi and tv streaming
Negatives:
Poor communication
HVAC issues on first floor (couldn’t seem to get it heated)
Very outdated kitchen (dishwasher leaked and coffee maker took 30+ minutes for a pot of coffee, no mixer)
Family of raccoons living in the ceiling (noisy nights aside, our grandkids got a kick out of watching them climb around)
Screened in porch in disrepair (screens mostly all ripped loose)
I have never left a negative review but was frustrated with the poor communication from the owner. We didn’t get the key code until well after check in. And there was no response when I asked ahead of time about kitchen equipment because we were planning on cooking Thanksgiving dinner there. With that being said, we would probably stay there again as there was plenty of room to spread out and our grandkids loved watching the barges go by. It is almost a great place. Just needs some TLC in a few areas and a few more updates.

This property was booked for (8) of us to stay at along with being a home base with other friends for a weekend on the bourbon trail. Our stay was during the first weekend of October.
The first part that comes to mind about booking this whole process was the lack of communication from the beginning, along with after the stay. When booked, we received confirmation with a few rules and was asked to provide details about our stay and such. At the same time I wanted to clarify a few things. We booked this property in July and I followed up promptly with some questions in which they were not answered until 2 days before our stay, which was in October.
We understand that you live on a river however the fruit fly / nat problem is pretty profound. There were bugs everywhere and I offered to send pictures with no response from the owner / property manager. No matter what we did to keep the house clean we could not do anything about them. One of the other problems was the garage door to the house was left open and the trash bins were covered in nats.
A couple other things include outdated light fixtures with knobs that consistently fell off, a racoon hole at the roof, we could hear an animal up there at night time. And some yard TLC. We had one guy walking under the deck and he slipped and cut his foot on an open stump. Lastly, if the property can host 15 people there needs to be enough utensils.
Overall, not worth the price. And no follow up from owner / manager after our stay.

The property was very nice, on the water with a tremendous view! The home was 2 story with the main kitchen upstairs, wet bar downstairs with a fridge, plenty of bathrooms and so much room for activities! The back bedroom upstairs with the water view was were i slept and the mattress was extremely comfortable! We were about 15-20 min from Louisville, however we only went down there once because we were traveling to the many distilleries east of Louisiana anyway. The area was extremely nice and quiet and the couple times that we reached out to the host, we received a quick response! Highly recommend this property and if we were to come back we would definitely stay here again!
Thanks again!!!

We had a lovely stay. The view of the river is just gorgeous, especially at sunrise. I was surprised at how pretty the view was. We hope to return for another stay.
Just so others know, the main living areas and kitchen are upstairs. Your guests will need to be able to access stairs to access the main kitchen, dining area, and the best view of the river. There are 2 bedrooms and a small kitchenette downstairs. The bedrooms downstairs were a bit warmer than the upstairs but we stayed during a hot July week.
The property has all the basic supplies needed. There aren’t many extra towels or bedding but you have everything you need. We had a large group and washed towels while we were there. My family agrees the downstairs shower is the best you’ll ever experience!
The kitchen had what we needed to cook on the stove or in the oven. Plenty of dishes and utensils. There was a toaster and blender. Coffee maker died while we were there but hopefully will be replaced for future guests. There is a grill but we didn’t use it.
Beds were all comfortable. Seating in both family areas was cute and comfy. There is plenty of room to spread out around the house.
The large deck was nice to sit, visit and watch the boats go by. You definitely need bug spray, tho.
We drove all over Louisville and Jeffersonville and everything seemed very easy to get around.
Nick was easy to communicate with and was accommodating for our needs. We would stay again any time!

There was wonderful view of the Ohio river from this home and there was a very nice deck where we spent alot of time. The house was spacious enough for our group but the bedroom/bathroom locations were not best placed. Those in the bedroom right off the dining room could not sleep in due to the ones eating breakfast and the barn doors did not close out the sound. We appreciated the cleanliness of the house. The kitchen had the bare minimum for cooking a meal. It would have been nice to have more bowls and pans for the kitchen and some extra towels and sheets. The extra refrigerator downstairs was very helpful. The yard could have used some landscaping maintenance. We were not able to use our laptops while in the house due to a server/internet issue that was never resolved. The location was ideal for getting to Louisville and we enjoyed the playground, basketball court and ice cream shop in the small town where the house was located.

The house was a perfect place for our sisters’ yearly retreat. There was plenty of space for everyone. The deck overlooking the river provided a beautiful view. Close to Louisville.

This property looks good online. In person: light switch knobs were missing, light bulbs were missing, slowest coffee maker EVER, and slow drain in the downstairs bathroom. And for a house that sleeps 10, there were not enough plates or coffee cups or a big enough saute pan. However, It was great to be on the river!

We had a nice quick stay with friends. Any problems we encountered were quickly resolved by the owner. Things to consider in the future are having additional trash bags available or easily findable, and hair dryers available. Fireplace equipment/pokers would also be nice since upstairs fireplace is allowed. Thank you!

This river front home has a beautiful view. It was as advertised. Our family enjoyed our stay, the commute to Louisville Expo Center and downtown Louisville worked fine for us. Host was helpful and answered our questions right away.

The house had such amazing scenic views and was a perfect spot to watch fireworks across the river over the July 4th holiday.

Nick was a great host property manager. He replied quickly to emails and sent detailed instructions for check in and check out. The house was beautiful on the Ohio River for my family and I.There was plenty of space to spread out around the house and property, but keep in mind there are only two showers in the house for a large group. I would not recommend swimming in the Ohio River with current and dirtiness. There was no place to access dock from photos or the dock was washed away. Also, the patio on the back needs to be replaced because some of the deck boards are rotted out, which could be hazardous when walking on them. Other then that it was a beautiful home and stay. My family and I enjoyed our time. There is a general store within walking distance of the property. We really enjoyed the scenic view.
