The main house offers a king master suite along with a king en suite and a custom bunk room that can sleep four. A spacious detached seaside bungalow with a full bath is steps away from the main house and is perfect for additional guests such as a nanny or the in-laws. This was our third trip to Exuma and each time we fall in love with the island more and more. BaRoos is an amazing property on Tar Bay convenient to airport and town. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful beachfront property with our adult and teenage children.
Getting down and back up from the beach is a little tricky due to lack of stairs so this would be something to keep in mind if you have folks with mobility challenges joining you. The house was well equipped and the beds are super comfy. Amazing views from the two masters, kitchen and family room that take your breath away. Highly recommend BaRoos!

I researched a lot of properties and vacation spots before we booked this trip to the Exumas. We definitely chose the right spot to make a memorable experience for our family. The home location was perfectly situated on the island, close to the airport, halfway up so that we could easily explore in both directions. The house is beautiful and just as described. Easy to just relax in the pool and beach and take in the gorgeous views. We did have a little problem with the AC not working for a couple of days, but the property manager helped us get comfortable with fans and was able to get it fixed as quickly as they could, they were very accommodating and communicated great with us. We will definitely keep Ba Roos on our list for future vacations...my family agreed that this was the best beach vacation we have taken and cannot wait to come back some day!

Baroos met (and exceeded) all our expectations. The house is stunning and the layout is perfect, giving everyone space but also plenty of room (outside and inside) to gather and catch up.
The outdoor area is spectacular. The pool was great to sit by and relax and read a book and sleep. We took the very short walk to the beach and floated around in the rings. Paddleboards, kayaks and float devices area all easily accessible and ready to use when the water cooperates. The beach is essentially private and we only saw a couple other people during our entire stay.
It was a perfect 5 days and I wish we had stayed longer. You won't regret staying at BaRoos. I would also like to suggest hiring Khristont (private chef) for a night. He was incredible and was the best meal we had. Dena (Dena's donuts) is also amazing for breakfast delivery and dinner.

I hesitate to write this review as I want to ensure Ba Roos doesn't get too popular it becomes difficult to book. :-) Given the owners dedication to building this property, it is the right thing to do and write the review. Been to Exuma a few times (Little Exuma all times) and we enjoyed being on Great Exuma and also Tar Bay. Centrally located and convenient. During August, even though there were winds, Tar Bay was swimmable. House floor plan is stretched out so even if there is activity in common areas, bedrooms don't hear it. Bedding, mattresses, towels and linens were comfortable. House was well appointed outside and inside for lots of enjoyment. I share the sentiment of another reviewer that it is so well situated and appointed, it was difficult to find reason to leave. Well done Ba Roos!

Words cannot even describe how beautiful this property is! This was our group's third trip to the Exumas and this house does not even compare to the other houses we stayed at. The views are somehow even better than in the pictures. The house is pristine, extremely well maintained, and was spotless when we arrived! The actual property is huge and felt like we were on our own tropical island! The landscaping is immaculate and the inside decor is beautiful! It came equipped with everything you need and we appreciated even the smallest details that were thought of (such as the insulated cups that kept our drinks cold :) Both the owner and property manager were extremely responsive with anything we needed. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation! We will be coming back and will definitely be staying here again!!!

Our party consisted of three generations, ranging in ages from 9-70s. Ba Roos was an absolute dream, on the most perfect beach. Of all the excursions and island exploring we did, we agreed our favorite part of the trip was just floating in the ocean behind the house. The house was well equipped with everything you’d need. We used the owner’s recommendation for provisioning so that the fridge was already stocked when we arrived, which I highly recommend.d The layout of the house allowed for everyone to have their separate spaces, but still come together in the beautiful spacious great room. We made amazing family memories and hope to return soon.

Now, for the facts:
This was our 3rd trip to Exuma. We love it.
The property itself is nice. Not the best place we've stayed, nor the worst place we've stayed.
Upon arrival and meeting with the property manager we all felt as though she was giving rules to a bunch of spring breakers, which we are not. 2 of us nearly 60 yrs. old and 2 nearly 80 yrs. old.
There was a issue with the grill and we were told upon arrival that one would arrive in a couple of days. A couple of days went to 6 when one arrived and we left on day 7. Having a working grill is imperative for a beach vacation. The grill on hand was on it's last leg and took 30 minutes to cook a thin chicken breast. So, it was basically worthless. Many texts from the property were responded to promptly but with excuses.
Ideally, a back up on hand for every amenity would have been available. Especially a crucial one such as a grill. Not everything can be prepared using a kitchen range. We spent hundreds of dollars for beautiful meats from Prime Island only to be frustrated every evening on how we were going to prepare them. The kitchen had a few skillets that were long past their prime also. The grill ordeal in and of itself made our vacation stressful. This was my in-laws last vacation anywhere due to their age and we wanted it to be a nice as possible. The owner did have someone drop off supper on our last evening.
Ending with a positive-Tar Bay is beautiful.

Ba Roos is an amazing property that is managed incredibly well. Ayana from Island Concierge made booking all of our activities, buying groceries, and transportation a breeze. Esther, the house manager, is extremely friendly and helped answer any and all questions swiftly. Chef Renauldo and Del made each meal memorable. Highly recommend Ba Roos! We will be booking again for next year.

Magical stay
Everything about Ba Roos, and Exuma in general, was absolutely magical. We were a party of 10 ranging in ages from 3-47 and everyone enjoyed themselves to the fullest. The house accommodated our group with plenty of space and everything is as advertised and pictured. We relaxed by the pool and beach during most of the days and had many delicious meals at Ba Roos. I definitely recommend hiring some of the local private chefs if you want to splurge, especially Chef Anne…both she and her team are incredible.
Ba Roos is conveniently located near the airport, plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Also, be sure to book some of the fun excursions that Exuma has to offer. We loved seeing Pig Beach, Iguana Island, and swimming w sea turtles and sting rays. We cannot wait to return!! You can choose to relax all day or go out exploring. Returning to Ba Roos after a busy day just can’t be beat.

Amazing stay
We can’t say enough about our stay at Ba Roos. From the great location close to the airport, short drive to town and breathtaking spot on the beach to the amazing house, pool and gorgeous surroundings, out family had our dream vacation. The management team helped every step of the way and took care of any issue that came up during the stay. Heaven on Earth
Ba Roos is my dream beach house. Our family absolutely loved it. There were beautiful turquoise blue ocean views from every room. Everything was perfect with "0" complaints from anyone in our group. The house was spotless, beds were comfortable, nice linens, bath robes, etc. Definitely 5 star property. We also loved the privacy that each of the bedrooms. Great layout of the entire house. Beautiful beach with white powder sand which you virtually have to yourself.
