Close to just about everything. Was a great stay!

We loved the location, the view and the space!!! The board walk to town was wonderful—and great restaurants and art museum and galleries were convenient and close!!

Everything was very clean and as advertised, but there were 17 steep steps to access main living area. This rental is not for anyone with mobility issues! The long steep stairway should be mentioned in the description, not mentioned the day before move-in as was the case. Please include a photo of steps with listing so individuals are aware of this issue. I can provide one if not available.

Exactly as described - great layout and views, especially from the 3rd floor, close to water, short walk to town, great location to explore the area. Note: as described, the stairs are very steep and would not be appropriate for someone with limited mobility.

Spacious apartment, centrally located.

it’s a very nice duplex on the 2nd and 3rd floors. the 1st floor has permanent occupants. Occasionally we could smell cigarette smoke filtering up though the floors or walls. Considering the age of the house it’s understandable that the 2 units aren’t sealed off from each other. The house rules state no smoking anywhere on the property. Granted, we think we may have also smelled wood burning fireplaces in the neighborhood or even perhaps the Canadian wildfires. It wasn’t bad, but can’t give a 5 star rating because of it.

The views from the top floor are fabulous! This is a wonderful spacious apartment, which is on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a very well maintained and charming 1870’s home in a lovely neighborhood. It has lots of windows, is bright, comfortable and very clean. The pictures in the listing are very accurate. The top floor has a master (king bed) and a single bed in an adjacent room (no doors between them) and a 3/4 bath. Everything else is on the 2nd floor. We did not cook while we were there, but the kitchen is a good size and it seemed to be well stocked. There is a full sized washer and dryer that would be great for beach towels. The owners live on the bottom floor and Paul greeted us and let us in the first night. He kindly provided us with maps and brochures. The only negative was a little cigarette smell, probably from a previous tenant. Overall, I really liked this house and recommend it!

Great home with gorgeous scenic views! Quiet neighborhood, comfortable space to spread out and not be on top of each other, and very comfortable beds and pillows.

Great central location to everything. My only recommendation would be to either flip the mattresses or change them out. There were some divots and lumps that need to be worked out. Other than that perfect place to stay!!!!!

The hosts were very welcoming and nice. The house is very neat and clean, the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and cookware (perfect for making meals for our kids), and close to downtown Rockland shops and a small beach where we could watch boats in the harbor. We were there during the heatwave so the ACs were a big plus and kept us cool.
The location was central for us and were able to do day trips to Camden/Rockport, Mount Battie, Boothbay Harbor, Birch Point/Owl's Heads, and Popham Beach.
Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful house, very well equipped.
The owners are living below and were extremely welcoming and helpful.
Wonderful light in all the rooms and a very nice view from the last floor.
We enjoyed all the varied activities we had from this beautiful base in Maine.

Beautiful view and kind homeowners!
We were impressed with the view, the clean accomodations, and kind homeowners. They even came out and blew snow during a heavy storm so we could get out onto the road to visit family. Would stay again!

Overall we had a great time in Rockland and really enjoyed accommodations. The owners were very friendly and provided helpful information. The apartment was really nice and comfortable. One concern though is that the door latch to the unit and the top of the stairs does not fully close. So even if you close and lock the door, someone could (and I did it) just push the door open.

Clean, Great Views, Near Fantastic Rockland
Incredible location with beautiful views! My two teens and I had a fantastic, relaxing time in this lovely little section of Rockland, very walkable to town and the Harbor. The owners live downstairs and they were overwhelmingly friendly and easy-going. In fact, my son had hurt his knee and one of the owners (Paul) had an extra pre-packaged knee brace which he gave to us, which not only helped but was a great measure of their kindness and compassion. I loved that the place came with COVID compliant sheets and towels in hospital-grade plastic ready for use. The only downside was that the local rental agency was difficult to get in touch with. It's a shame because they have a storefront right on Main St Rockland, but don't let that deter you. Hopefully, the owners will have resolved it or moved on by the time you get there.

Rockland home
This historic home is amazing! The owners are a wonderful couple that met us as we were checking in, and we talked with during our stay. The views are stunning. The location is wonderful. We took evening walks and walked to downtown.
We would definitely stay here again.

Paul and Molly probably scheduled the beautiful views in the evening of the full moon over the Rockland Breakwater! Their place was just as advertised: very clean, lots of room, many windows and light, even games and children’s books. On the second and third floors of their beautifully renovated home, the views are spectacular! I imagine cool breezes in the summer. We were there in the middle of winter and it was cozy.Paul and Molly were helpful and kind. We were very pleased! Thanks bunches,Diane
