Nestled on the shoreline, Z Oceanfront is a charming abode that offers unobstructed access and a breathtaking vista of the ocean. This snug retreat features two queen beds and two convertible sleeper futons in the cozy two-bedroom, one-bath house. Complete with a fully equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer for added convenience, this beachfront property also boasts a spacious deck that provides an extraordinary view of the ocean. Guests can indulge in a variety of local seafood and chilled beer from nearby eateries. Our priority is to provide our guests with a clean, secure, and comfortable experience that they'll remember forever.
In order to maintain high cleanliness standards, we follow rigorous disinfecting protocols that involve using premium quality and safe cleaning products for washing all washable items as per the recommended guidelines, especially following the pandemic scenario.
As a coastal property, Z Oceanfront is subject to the whims of nature, and guests should expect water levels to fluctuate and sand to collect around the property. Please exercise caution while in the water and around the dunes and be vigilant about caution signs and warnings in the area. To ensure safety, external surveillance cameras have been installed to monitor any unauthorized intrusions.
Check-in is after 4:00 pm, and checkout is by 11:00 am. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs at short notice. We require adequate time to clean and sanitize the property thoroughly for our next guests. Delays in check-out may incur associated fees to compensate for the time and inconvenience caused to our cleaning crew and incoming guests.
Please ensure that you do not leave any belongings behind, as handling and shipping fees may apply. Kindly dispose of any trash in the blue dumpster/can outside the property and ensure that all kitchenware and utensils are cleaned and loaded in the dishwasher. Used towels should be left in the bathroom, and items should be returned to their original places.

Although the location was good and the view was beautiful there were some downsides to our stay. When we arrived and got inside of the house it was so hot you could barly breath. There is not central air but there were 3 portable air conditioners we turned on. We had stay outside until the house cooled. Even with all three air conditioners (and keeping all doors shut) the living room still never really cooled down much and the bathroom was unbarably hot the entire trip. The kitched water had a horrible smell we thought maybe it was the whole area but the bathroom sink didnt have that bad of a smell.
The owners were not very responsive to the questions and concerns we had.
Over all we had a good time dispite the inconveniences.

Location amazing! Beach front with views and sand of our own. Home is rough though, with limited space, bathroom and AC amenities.

We had a great time! Loved the deck, beach was just steps away! Thank you for having a kerig coffee maker! We would ask is hose/ shower on deck and more towels, 4 is just not enough.... but most appreciated was the Charmin toilet paper, lol, I hate the cheap stuff! Thank you again for sharing your home for us to make special memories! The internet sadly, we could not get to work but we were not there for that so it was OK. Hubs says the shower curtain needs something.... more weight to hold it in or magnet snaps... water went everywhere lol. Those are all small things, we had a WONDERFUL TIME!

The first night there was an electrical fire from the ceiling. Sparks flew/burned many holes on the bed where we were sleeping with our baby. The home also lost half the power. We called the homeowner who did quickly answer the phone. Someone with us explained as long as the breaker was off, we should be safe to stay until an electrician came in the morning. We decided to tough it out instead of waking the children and moving in the middle of the night. The electrician arrived in the morning and said he'd been there for previous electrical issues. He turned everything back on and sparks came out of the ceiling again. The electrician was able to disconnect what was causing the problem, put tape over the switch and said it would be safe until a full repair could be made.
We called the homeowner and explained we would be staying. The next day, we noticed exposed wiring in the bathroom. The final day we noticed exposed wires hanging from the electric meter outside. This seems like the place may need some work to be safe around young children especially. We really should have left.
We text the homeowner when we left. She said she would keep us posted on working something out for the problems.
After we got home, the homeowner messaged she returned half a night. I called and explained considering the fire, half the house being without electricity, and sleeping on the floor we should at least receive a full night.
The homeowner immediately started talking over me, accused me of trying to bully her, accused me of trying to scam her, said she had other businesses to run, didn't have time for this and was not required to do anything at all. I explained we weren't asking for much, just the night when the electrical fire and half the house was without power. When I explained this could have been worse if someone was burned she very sarcastically said, "But did that happen?" She tried to sum up the electrical fire to a minor 45 minute inconvenience. She also mentioned she was watching us have a good time on the deck camera so the problems must not have been too bad. CREEPY!
If she has to spend more than a few minutes with you, she'll quickly remind you she is a very busy “business lady”, has other bookings and more important things to do.
Find a place with a competent homeowner that won't undermine major issues and belittle you if you call them.
We wanted to love this place once everything was fixed but the homeowner scared us away!!

You can't get more ocean front than this! The location was great; just take note there is a restaurant close by that has live music on Friday/Saturday nights. The kitchen had all the utensils and appliances we needed. The deck is large and spacious as well. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a cozy place to stay in Surfside!

Such a quaint beach house perfect for my little family… we have two boys ages 4 and 5. We felt spoiled with our short walk to and from the house when ever we needed something on the beach or to get some shade. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We spent most of our time on the gorgeous deck - wow!!

Great cozy house just steps to the water The house has a fully stocked kitchen and appliances, even though we only used the microwave since there is a restaurant in walking distance.
We had absolutely no issues checking in or out. The owner/management is great and very responsive. We will definitely book again!

Great location
The property was conveniently located on the beach, which made long days at the beach much more enjoyable (especially with small children). The least convenient part was parking - no matter where you park, you’re going to have to trudge through sand before you get to your car. When you have kids, or a lot of things to unload from your car, it’s not ideal but being so close to the beach made it worth it. The house itself was clean, but I couldn’t get the drip coffee maker to brew coffee. I think a Keurig is much more convenient for guests though I know everyone has different preferences. Overall we had a great stay and the property owner was helpful/responsive. I recommend this property to other families looking to stay on the beach.

The house is on the sand at the beach. Really cute, very clean and amazing views! The owner was helpful and communicated well. There is a great restaurant steps away on the beach. This place had everything we could ask for. We would definitely want to stay again for a longer stay :)

Great beach vacation
We really enjoyed our stay. The location of the property was perfect. Although it’s on a public beach, it was clean. The bathroom needs an upgrade. We loved all other amenities. Kitchen was well stocked, and having a dishwasher was helpful. It would be useful to have a Keurig and a vacuum cleaner. Will definitely stay again and recommend this place.

Forget beachfront, this is oceanfront
You can’t get closer to the water than this. Small but plenty of room for a family of 4, and charming. Well stocked, though we didn’t cook anything more strenuous than sandwiches. Only issue we had, our kids didn’t want to share a bed (the 13 year old is 6 feet tall and a bed hog) so our 10 year old slept on the futon but there were no extra blankets so we used a beach towel until we could run to Walmart. Owner was great with responding to questions. Be prepared to bring everything you want to sit on the beach (chairs, towels, umbrella, toys etc), but there is a rentals place right next door or Walmart is about 20 mins back toward Lake Jackson, and you can certainly enjoy everything from the deck. Walkable to 2 restaurants in the beach. We were completely charmed with our first Texas beach experience and this vacation home was the cherry on the top. We would love to come back anytime.

What a great location! You can't get any closer to the beach. Awesome deck for enjoying the wind and waves without even stepping a foot in the sand. Great restaurant within walking distance with tasty drinks. We will most definitely be back!

Small, clean & in the sand!
You can’t get closer to the beach! It was great! I could watch my kids play in the sand from the porch. We went in Winter, they loved chasing waves & collecting seashells.
The house is smaller, as listed. But the beds are comfortable! We didn’t cook much while we were there, but the kitchen had plenty of space & a high bar to eat at.
My only issue with the space is that there is nowhere to put luggage except in the living room. But it works!

The best birthday gift for myself 😊
The house was very clean. Both beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with items needed for cooking. The bathroom included travel size soaps, shampoos and conditioners as well as a couple small bottles of hand sanitizer. The location is wonderful. The deck steps go directly on to the beach. Any questions we had were promptly answered. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for a long weekend. Location is excellent with direct access to the beach. The house was clean, but there were quite a few bugs in the kitchen (which improved after spraying). I presume that is related to the beach location. AC was functional. Management was very responsive. We would definitely stay again in the future.

Good overall trip
Couldn’t be a better place right on water. Large deck was great. The only problem is the need to provide at least 2 towels not just one. Even though there is a washer. Women like one for body and one for hair. And I know the futons sleep extra but they are very uncomfortable to sit on to watch tv when you have had enough sun. Beds great. I say perfect for 2 friends on a little get away. We will be going back.

Overall we had a great stay. You can't ask for much more than beachfront. We loved the porch and the outdoor seating available. Having the hose up on the porch was nice too. Makes cleaning off the sand after the beach easy. Communication with the host was easy and they were attentive. They even had a birthday cake there in the fridge waiting as the reason for the stay was my wife's birthday. Good touch. We had an issue with the guest room AC , but we reached out and they put in a brand new window unit and that made the room cold again. Good service. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we slept well. We would have liked to see a drip coffee maker in the kitchen as opposed to a keurig. We bought supplies for a drip coffee maker but there was only a keurig. The host provided a couple keurig pods though. My wife and two kids (5 and 6) fit comfortably in the house and would recommend for similar families. One heads up though...do not pull up too far when you park on the property at the side/front of the house from street access. Upon arrival,, I pulled up a little too far and my truck got stuck in the sand. Luckily someone was able to pull us out. All in all, a good stay. We had plenty of fun and were comfortable. Great views and weather!
