We were in town for a dance competition weekend. The Edinburgh Cottage was absolutely perfect for our weekend stay and close to the venue. The check in and check out process was so simple and the yard was perfect when the girls finished their full day of dance and could run of that extra energy and get some sun.

There were issues from the beginning. I felt like i was house sitting cats and raccoons. The house has a bad roach problem. And they are try to get more money after i hired a cleaning service. Please beware of this property.

We had a great stay at Edinburgh cottage. We stayed while dropping off our daughter for her freshman year at LSU. It was conveniently located near campus and everything else we needed. We will definitely be staying again over the next 4 years. The house was great and quite cozy! The owners were great with communication and even left this Tiger mama with lots of tissues! We look forward to another stay here.

This is the perfect place for a family vacation! The house was full of things that we needed upon arrival and we always felt safe. The owners were a text away if we ever needed anything. The beds were super comfy and there was the cutest raccoons that stayed near the house and always come out to greet you. If we ever come to Baton Rouge again, this would be our first pick at where to stay.

This cottage was perfect for my family who were down in Baton Rouge for our son’s travel baseball game. The location is close to everything you could possibly need or want to do. I was impressed with the inside of this cottage. Very clean and well kept inside and out. The neighborhood is very quite and doesn’t have much traffic. If you’re ever in Baton Rouge and need a place to stay, give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!!

The house is cute, and the hosts were very attentive to my needs. The location is quite convenient, nearby Walmart and Sprouts. It was amazing to have a full size W/D at my disposal since I stayed in the house for the entire month of January. I love the fact that the host allowed me to bring my little dog so I didn’t have to be in an unfamiliar state alone and it was only a slight inconvenience that the large backyard was not fully fenced. The kitchen is well stocked with the things you would need to cook a meal and there were a few provisions to get me started - paper towels, and tissue in the bathroom.
2 suggestions: add a small dresser and and a vacuum. Having to live out of my suitcase because there are absolutely no drawers anywhere, was a bummer.
Because I travel frequently for work and stay in rental units I think it’s only fair to mention a couple of things I struggled with… The sofa in the living room was dirty to the point that I put both a sheet and a blanket over it to feel comfortable sitting on it - only TV in the house is in living room. Although I am a cat lover, to walk in, and discover that I was expected to feed three cats each day was a little strange; some may find this charming. The frequent train whistle should be mentioned for anyone planning to work from the location. Kitchen faucet needs new gasket to keep water from running all over the beautiful wood countertops. Kitchen needs pest control services, not atypical for wet climates though.

My family and I enjoyed the cottage. It was as a neat as a pin and had more than everything we needed for our stay. It was like being at home. We will stay again.

This was our 2nd stay at the Edinburgh Cottage & we will return again soon. We have family living in the area & this house is super convenient. My first comment is that the house is super quiet, sleeping there is great. Second comment, washer, dryer, dishwasher, & TV are all available, easy to use & function well. Heating & cooling work very well & are very balanced & also 🤫 quiet. Bathroom is appointed well & always very clean. Bedrooms comfortable, each with a separately switched ceiling fan and ceiling light. No need to pull cords, you can have light and no fan or vice versa with the flip of a switch. I almost forgot the kitchen with stove, oven, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, refrigerator, big sink, good counter space, with plenty of plates, glasses, pots & pans, silverware. We cooked a part of Thanksgiving Dinner here...everything worked great!
The property managers are terrific & always available if you have any questions. The Cottage has easy access to Perkins Rd. & from there you can find most anything you might need.
Consider staying at the Cottage if you have a trip planned to the Baton Rouge area.

Great
Everything was a 5 star. This was a very well appointed property at a very central location in Baton Rouge.
It was clean and even had coffee and a lot of staples such as sugar, peanut butter, salt, pepper, spices, etc.
The beds were comfortable and a ton of movies available.

BEST STAY & HOSTS.
There’s not enough characters to explain how incredible our stay was at this property. The hosts Glenda & Tim are so kind & accommodating! - Communication was immediate. They made us feel like family in a way! This property felt like home as soon as we walked in, considering my Fiancé was here for work it was nice for my kids & I to be somewhere so cozy & like our own! TOWELS!! I have never stayed somewhere that had so many towels! The bathroom is stocked with salon approved shampoo for the women, dove for the men & baby shampoo as well!! beds are so comfortable you don’t want to get up & the black out curtains were an awesome touch since my Fiancé works nights! The kitchen has MORE than you could ask, from pots & pans to actual ingredients you may need. Also GOOD coffee! I seriously cannot say enough about Glenda or Tim & their place so book a stay & see for yourself, you will not be disappointed!! 🥰
