Out of town from SC to meet up with family. Very clean house and great location! Right by the beach, Publix grocery store right around the corner, and very close to the downtown area. Bathrooms/showers are small and kitchen is small, but other than that a great place to stay. Would definitely consider staying again if we come back!

I stayed in this house 6 days and fell in love with the location! Bilbao Beach is ‘old florida’ cool. Great restaurants within 5 minutes (Aunt Kates, and Caps) , walk to Publix, only a short path to the beach. Not a huge gormet kitchen, or spacious bathroom suites- just basic living. I stayed in April and enjoyed the ‘florida room’ or den across the back of the house, but it isn’t actually on the central AC system, so if you stay here in July, don’t depend on staying in that room much . I would definitely rent here again because price, location and the in and out ease are most important to me.

The house was amazing and provided all the accommodations we needed. Being close to downtown was really nice and provided an ideal location for the area.

The location of the home was perfect to the beach, just minutes down from Publix and only 10-15 minutes from the City Gates of St. Augustine. The house was extremely clean and had plenty of space for a big family. This being said the house is older, sections of the floor on the second level dip and in the room with the two twin beds gives a lot at the entrance of the room. The balcony off the second floor seemed unstable; we didn’t feel 100% about it, so we didn’t use it. The beds were not comfortable, they were clearly older spring mattresses. Overall, the owners/property management keep the house extremely clean and for the cost we would stay again.

It is so conveniently located. Literally steps to the private beach. Great price.
Mattresses need updated but other than that. . . A great find and easy on the budget.

Seaside Cottage is steps away from Vilano Beach access. At the end of the walkway there are benches where we sat every morning enjoying our coffee and watching the Sunrise. Although the furnishings are dated, the place was very clean and had most everything we needed. It would be nice if there were beach chairs and towels for guests to use. We loved our beach walks and swims and fun in Saint Augustine. The location was perfect.

It was a very nice area and close to the beach. Downtown was about 10 minutes away. Love it. Will definitely come back again.

We had a great time! The location was great. Plenty of room, close to downtown St. Augustine. Would definitely go back!

The location is great. It is in a nice little cul-de sac with private boardwalk to beach. It literally takes a minute to walk to beach.
The home has a lot of potential but as it is right now it’s very outdated. The refrigerator has been patched and has brown line coming down outside from handle. It looks like rust but I have no idea what it is. The stove is old and had to plug in one burner on top right to get it to work. The microwave is in a small room between kitchen and back room. The bathrooms are really small. The master bathroom is what you would expect maybe in a guest room. The main bathroom for the other two rooms to share is small and narrow like a small closet. The half bath downstairs is literally in the living room it is very small you can barely turn around in there it’s that small. The code was never given to us for the lock box outside for the main key to the house or for the garage key. We just used the code for the electronic box on door to lock and unlock the door. We did not use the garage it’s a manual and frankly we didn’t have the code to box the information given to us stated we would get so we just didn’t bother with it. There were extra keys inside the home that we used to get in to the garage side door so we could use the washer and dryer.
Amenities- the few towels you get are the this rough white towels you would expect at a cheap motel. If you rent this home.. bring your own. The beds were comfortable enough and there were enough pillows. The listing states there is a home gym… there is not. The listing states there is a gas grill which we were looking forward to using as we were there 4th of July and like to grill. The grill looks as if it hasn’t been used in years. It’s rusted and broken and honestly don’t think the propane tank has been traded in or used in several years. We obviously did not use it. I took pictures in case the owners are not aware and would like to see the condition. The listing states there is access to tennis court and playground. I saw a tennis court one day when we drove past the home on the main road down to the right of a convenience store.. not sure if that is what is accessible or not. We didn’t need it but if you’re into that don’t expect one in the neighborhood you’re staying in. The listing states there is dvd players in all rooms including living room. The master bedroom and queen bedroom had remotes for a dvd player but no dvd players. The twin room has a dvd player. Again we didn’t need it but want the owners to know they are missing. The tv in the living room was missing a remote so we had to contact Vacasa who had someone bring us a remote. He was very friendly however the the customer service that we talked to in order to get to him was not the friendliest. In fact, after she put in our request a person sent a text stating they were our local contact person and gave me her hours. I messaged her back about our issue with remote and never got a response from her.

We had an amazing time and it was much closer to the beach then we thought!!! Check in was easy, communication was great and we enjoyed our stay immensely! Will definitely book again when we visit the area - which is fast becoming our favorite area to visit!!!

Very nice close to beach

Can’t beat the location, and it’s very well run, but the place is quite small and little to no ocean views. We stay at many air Bnb’s near Valano beach and there are much better choices for the close to $500 per night cost after they tack on all their “service” fees!

We so enjoyed the proximity of this home and yes it felt very homey and comfy. We were able to see the ocean from the balcony upstairs off the 2 bedrooms . Bedroom 3 is on the other side of the house. It took a minute walk to get my toes in the sand and the ocean. You can walk to Publix its so close. The rooms are a nice size and there is plenty of seating in the living room and the sun room. There are resturants nearby. You are right across the bridge from the old jail and we were able to park in the free lot and jump on the trolley for tours. We were also also able to get to the parking lot next to down town St. Augustine without having to drive in all the traffic to park. They had a Kerig and a regular coffee pot. I would give it a 5 but the home needs some updating, but to honest that did not bother us, it was clean and maintained. The price was right. I would stay here again.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the view and the short walk to the beach!

Very easy rental and check in process. Property could use updates. Mattresses on twin beds very uncomfortable, to the point we went and bought an air mattress after first night. Also couldn’t use sunroom as it isn’t air conditioned.

The home was well maintained, comfortable, peaceful and the location was great. We enjoyed our week.

Property is outdated but clean. Proximity to beach is great. Restaurants in area close early and most don't take reservations. There was no hair dryer in unit as advertised. Bathtub and shower VERY small. AC didn't work. Called property manager and was told technician would be sent immediately. Called 1 1/2 hour later only to be told that they were waiting on the owner to approve a call to the technician. It was 81 degrees in the unit and we had not been there all day!! Was offered a forced move to a hotel but this was a very short weekend trip (2 nights) with our sons and at 6:30 p.m. the last thing we wanted to do was waste the rest of our vacation packing up to move to a hotel and unpacking again. We would have required 3 hotel rooms so we requested a credit for 1 night stay instead - probably less expensive than 3 hotel rooms. Was told someone would get back to us. It's been 7 days and we have not heard a word! At this point, would not recommend VRBO or VACASA.

Great location...Old, outdated house
Pictures make property look better than it is in real time. Old outdated furniture. Dirty throw rugs and tiny showers. House needs a remodel.

All in all very clean with large master bedroom with a distant view of the ocean. Very nice sunroom though not air conditioned and could use door shades. Very nice location in quiet cul de sac with ramp to the beach. Outside patio with grill quiet and private though could be a little more inviting with a little landscaping. Publix literally one block away with many quiet beaches very close by. Downtown St Augustine just over the bridge. Vacassa rep Brittany was very pleasant and helpful. Great value for current price and has lots of potential. Thanks for the stay.

Loved the area!
The location of this rental is amazing. It’s right near a Publix and not too far from downtown St. Augustine. The beach is literally steps away as there is a private beach ramp in the cul de sac. The house fits 6 comfortably. It’s a little dated. There are however some soft spots in the master bedroom and the sun room is extremely hot during the day. There are also beach chairs and toys in the garage! Would definitely stay again.
