It just doesn't get any better with views of the sound right in front of you. Pour yourself a beverage and relax on one of the many decks to see the most glorious sunsets. We just added lots of new deck seating.
Ocean views are yours to behold, from the upper and mid level, or sit outside and hear the waves. Sunrise from the ocean is spectacular-- and there's a private boardwalk to the beach from our neighborhood. It's an easy walk.
We are not able to accommodate large events or pets. We have a Nest doorbell to ensure the security of our property. The HOA has resurfaced our tennis court and you can now play Pickleball as well as tennis. So please feel free to bring your rackets.
The new bridge in Rodanthe is finished and will be visible from this home. We are also getting new neighbors across the street but you will still be able to enjoy those beautiful sunsets.We look forward to having easier access to Hatteras Island!

The house was clean and extremely well stocked. It was perfect for our family and it was located on a great street near both the beach and sound. Texted the host with a silly question or two and she not only got back to us instantly but was extremely friendly and helpful. A++++

The property is in a great location to the sound and ocean. It’s a quiet neighborhood with a lot of permanent residents. The house was very well equipped with everything you would need for pool or beach activities. The owner was very responsive in all communications. Highly recommend this property for your next beach vacation.

Very beautiful property! Loved staying there. Our only con was that some areas of the house weren’t properly cleaned. However, it wasn’t enough that we felt the need to contact the owner. I’m sure they would have taken care of it promptly for us, if we needed. Would definitely stay there again!

Roomy, clean, great for small ones and teens, nice pool, great views, great neighborhood, only thing that could have made it better would have been a closer walk to the oceanside, sound side was very easy, highly reccomend renting a golf cart to go back and forth to beach access especially with little ones.

Our family of five adults stayed a week at this wonderful property. We enjoyed everything about this vacation home. There is something for everyone here. Our son enjoyed the pool table, pickleball court, riding his bike, and watching the Kite sailing. Our daughter read on the sun soaked decks, and my husband, special needs daughter and I used the hot tub and heated pool daily.. the giant dining room table was used for extended board games.
We rented a vintage VW dune buggy for a few days and watched the sunrises and sunsets every day.
This property has been one of our favorites. The owners are very responsive.

The house was amazing but there were a few things that could be improved. The pool and hot tub were dirty, I contacted Kathy and a guy was cleaning the place within an hour. He said that they had a contract and the pool/hot tub was supposed to be cleaned every Saturday and apparently hadn’t. On the second floor, one of the showers felt flimsy/soft in the floor. The shower that was in my room was dirty, it had that pink scum along the shore door. On the third floor between a screen door and the kitchen table, the floor is weakened and needs fixed soon. A couple of light bulbs were out in the kitchen and my mother kept pointing out how dusty the light fixtures were and how filthy the oven was. Many of the screens over the doors were broken and some just wouldn’t lockI know this sounds so negative…. We did have a wonderful time, I just wanted you to know about the negative s so the could be fixed.

We arrived right after the hurricane came through the area. We were very lucky to have arrived without incident. Beaches had erroded and high tide did not allow beach access. Thank goodness for the wonderful pool and hot tub. The house conveniently had a bathroom for every bedroom and ithe house was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. I could see and hear the ocean. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Unfortunately, we had remnants of Hurricane Lee which made it hard to enjoy the ocean and brought in the mosquito's, so it was difficult to do any outside activities without getting bit up. The house was very nice, a view of the sound on one deck and a view of the ocean on the other deck, very rare find. The pool and outside area were great. We enjoyed the personal touches by the owner ie - hand soap in all bathrooms, towels and linens provided, all the great beach gear and pool accessories. We even had a family feud game nite compliments of the home. The kitchen was functional and had everything we needed. Thank you Ms. Kathy for sharing your home with us!

The renters are amazing. Great comunication. The house was in a perfect location with veiws of the sunset and sunrise all from your porch. Very clean and well stocked. Bedrooms were all amazing, all had very comfortable king size beds. Pool and hottub were great. Stocked with toys and chairs for the beach. Cant wait to go back 😊.

This house left a lasting impression on us! We have stayed at other houses in OBX and this house has been our favorite we have stayed in yet! We had 6 adults and 3 children and had PLENTY of room in the house. The house was well stocked and very clean upon arrival! The main living area on the top floor was very bright and airy, with beautiful and peaceful views of the surrounding area from the wrap around decks. Our favorite area was the pool, which had a large deck area with plenty of seating around it, a nice pool to swim in, and a hot tub to relax in. We spent A LOT of our time relaxing at the pool area. When booking our next trip to OBX this will be the first property we look at since we enjoyed our stay here so much!

This property was exactly as pictured! The amenities were as described. The property was a great location. The house was clean and extremely well equipped. We had 8 adults and we were very comfortable. The owner was helpful and responsive.

The house was large enough for our group of 10 (but could probably benefit from a second fridge for large groups). Great to have wrap-around decks on all levels to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. (LOTS OF STEPS!) Nice pool and hot tub and access to the sound right out front. The walk to the beach was definitely further than we thought/advertised tho. Especially with 2 toddlers and all the beach junk! Lol we enjoyed our stay

The house was perfectly located between the sound and ocean. The pictures were accurate, bedrooms were lovely and the view of the sound was so nice.
The kitchen was well supplied, I didn't really need to use the kitchen supplies I brought. Check in and out was very easy, Kathy was very responsive when we had questions.
We had a wonderful vacation in a great house that exceeded our expectations.

Great location if you want privacy. This house has everything you need. No need to pack beach chairs, umbrellas, pool toys, etc. Easy 10 minute walk to a very private beach, 3 minutes to the sound. Beautiful house, comfortable beds. Just a great place to be. Tons of quality outdoor furniture and many decks. Sunsets are amazing. Only downside is the amount of stairs. I have bad knees and they really hurt by the end of the week. But even so, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The home was absolutely beautiful, clean and perfect for all of our guests. We had a great time at the pool and enjoyed quiet morning walks. When we booked this home, we didn't realize how secluded it was. At times, it was difficult to take our little ones in the car for 30 minutes to an activity or a restaurant. That was certainly not anyone's issue but ours. I highly recommend this vacation home!

What a wonderful location for our family of 6 beach trip. The house met all of our expectations. We were able to enjoy morning coffee on the deck, walks to the sound and beach and playtime in the pool. We loved eating together the fresh seafood at the large dinning room table and playing pool in the game room. We wished we had more time to spend at your home. Thank you for your hospitality

The upper level is the living area with a wrap around balcony with views of both the ocean and sound. The sound beach entrance is directly across the street from home. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking at home, if desired. Everything is well labelled and instructions are available throughout house. The pool and hot tub were clean and up and running. The pool table and corn hole games provided enough entertainment on our rainy day. Though Rodanthe is somewhat far from the more bustling areas of the OBX, if you're looking for a quiet and restful vacation, we would recommend Kathy and Dan's home.
