My partner and I had the wonderful privilege of staying at the Happy Camper for three nights and by god, we wish we could have spent a month there. The camper is remarkably cozy despite my being over 6’, and the hammocks outside were a splendid way to while away an afternoon.
The provided canoe and kayaks were a treat as well, and when my partner and I were inexperienced paddlers, Peggy was a godsend giving us the basics and some encouragement to see the bay.
In addition, various points of interest were within a day’s ride from the Camper, such as Olympic National Forest and Hood Canal. Ever the host, Peggy suggested a couple of great spots, like Chimacum’s Corner Market and Hoodsport’s distillery.
All in all, this was a perfect vacation. Will definitely be recommending and returning.

The location is stunning.
It has access to the private beach down the stairs behind the main house. It's located in a quiet bay of retirees. There are seals swimming around, seagulls enjoying the sun on the rocks in the distance. There are deer in the woods that reveal themselves in the morning to eat grass in front of the camper.
The site is fully equipped with a quaint futuristic camper from 1965, in great condition, still with some original parts, remodeled to accommodate a full standing shower with continuous hot water, full size toilet, kitchenette fully stocked with a stove, fridge, microwave, utensils, pots, salt, olive oil, bottle opener, etc.
The amenities include two hamacs, fire pit, grill, cooler, kayaks, canoe.
The host Peggy is very friendly, responsive, communicative, and accommodating.
We went as a couple with a baby.
We strongly recommend this for a few days of romantic glamping to decompress in a gorgeous setting.

My partner and I stayed at the Happy Camper for two nights in August. We lucked out escaping a heatwave in Portland and enjoyed perfect weather on the beach on the property. The airstream was well equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, we used the grill and fire-pit multiple times. We kayaked one morning, went into town for coffee and a hike to the waterfall, and had a night out in Port Townsend. Note that the airstream is on the other side of the main house from the beach, but you still get a nice view from the spot, and it is very easy and quick to walk down to the chairs on the beach. Peggy and the neighbors were all very friendly and overall you are very secluded and private despite being on a shared property.

The trailer was a new experience for us. Peggy was gracious & outgoing. And the beach access was exceptional. I would definitely revisit this property.

Peggy has a wonderful property and a really nice setup with the Airstream. Well equipped, very private property, steps from the beach with kayaks, paddles and PFDs ready to go. Watch the sea birds and seals while enjoying a glass of wine. Everything you need, none of what you don't. Would Do Again.

The Happy Camper was a delight. We thoroughly enjoyed the hammocks, boho vibe, kind host, and THE BEACH. Staying in the 1965 Airstream was like being in an authentic time-machine. Very cool. Best part for me was the beach-when the tide is low the walking is easy. High tide was a rock beach dream. I saw a seal watching me from the surf, saw all kinds of sea and shore birds. We'll be sure to bring binoculars when we return.

We absolutely loved staying in this airstream just off the Puget Sound. Peggy, the owner could not have been more accommodating and friendly. The airstream was comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need. The outdoor section had comfortable seating, cute lighting, a fire pit and a grill! We had access to the small beach and we were able to enjoy the complimentary kayaks! We got to see a bald eagle and had a relatively close visit with a seal. All in all, we loved staying here and would gladly come back/recommend it to friends.

The Airstream had everything we needed. Very comfortable and relaxing. Enjoyed the propane fire pit and added lights that hung above the trailer during the evening. Access to the beach (& lounge chairs) was great for our morning coffee.

I intended to stay two nights but added two more. Peggy created a lovely, quiet, comfortable space to wake to the sounds of birds, to drink tea by the water, and to read for hours on end. Next time, I’ll swim, SUP, and kayak.

Happy Camper October 2021
The Happy Camper was perfect for a sister getaway. The Camper was cute and eclectic, very much our style. We appreciated Peggy recommending local eateries and things to do. Would stay here again if in the area.

Outdoorist Luxury
Peggy was so on top of it when it came to our reservation; I had to change the date of our stay and she handled it swiftly and professionally. Her property is gorgeous and quiet, and the airstream is so charming. The amenities were fabulous: the private beach, the kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, hammocks, fire ring, propane gas tank (oh my!). We could have just stayed on the property 100% of the time and been very pleased with our stay, but we went to Port Townsend & Chimacum (a very short drive) which we’re both lovely as well. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks Peggy!

A Peaceful Get-Away
The two nights we spent at the Happy Camper were peaceful and relaxing. Peggy has given attention to the little details that make "camping" easier - such as rechargeable book lights for nighttime reading and a propane grill and fireplace. We will return!

Paradise on the sound
What a magical place. At the end of the road and right on the water. The views go on for ever and you fall asleep to sound of the waves settling on the beach. The trailer was so cool and comfortable that my wife let me buy one from craigslist while we were staying in the happy camper. We took out the canoe and kayaks right off the beach, drove up through the Olympic peninsula, went wine tasting, took a ferry ride to Whidbey, made great dinners, went to the cidery... Well you get the idea. The trailer is very inviting and well outfitted with everything you need. The outside space was very cozy with the hammock, fire pit, romantic lighting and a great view of the water Peggy is a gracious host as are charlie and Georgi the dogs. Wonderful place, wonderful space, wonderful host...enjoy yourself in the happy camper...we did!!

Oasis!
Loved my solo stay in the Happy Camper. The host lives on the property and was a delight (available for anything I might need). The view was spectacular and one of my fav things was sitting on the oceanside chairs, just 15ft from the ocean listening to the waves. The location is great in terms of getting to other places, or just rock in the hammock right outside the camper, to your heart's content.

Awesome!! Planning future stays....
Peggy is the hostess with 'the most-ess'......we felt loved, accepted, welcomed....it was truly epic. The camper was so much fun!! Our favorite parts were the little fire we had on our porch while roasting marshmallows and sitting in THE MOST comfortable hammocks. I spent an afternoon reading a great book on the beach with Peggy's 'monkey chairs'....they are THE BEST...you can move around easily/comfortably. We had a great time just hanging in Port Townsend and at the AWESOME Finn River Farm. My stay was epic and forever memoravble. My partner and I will be back....NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!
