Mid-century modern gets top billing at this cozy and charming Kings Beach vacation rental. Just two blocks from Lake Tahoe and with a wood-burning fireplace and a modern kitchen, you'll want to make this your permanent home away from home!
Enter a world of comfort the minute you walk in the doors. The living room boasts wood walls, hardwood floors, a plush gray couch and ottoman, a rocking chair, a wood-burning fireplace, and deer artwork. The open-floor plan extends to the modern and inviting dining room, which flaunts a table for six under a hanging lamp.
The remodeled kitchen is a real showstopper with a gas range and plenty of cupboards filled with all the necessary accoutrements. Grab some fresh produce at the grocery store across the street and whip up a repast worthy of any Michelin-rated chef.
Just down the hall you'll find two queen bedrooms, both with wood-paneled walls and plenty of light. The first boasts a wooden headboard, bed bench, and a Persian rug; the second, a purple coverlet, hardwood floors and a desktop computer, with a full white bathroom mere steps away.
Bring up to two dogs on vacation with you, for only a $10 per pet, per day fee (with a $40 minimum required).
If you want a bit of privacy, head to the third bedroom at the back of the home. Here you'll find a bookshelf filled with tomes, a vintage tennis racquet hanging on a wall, and a platform bed as well as sleeping mats, making this an ideal refuge for a group of close friends, two couples, or even a small family. Another full bath is just around the corner and the outdoor deck is perfect for that morning joe or discussions on where to eat.
Kings Beach is a prime spot in North Lake Tahoe. You'll have access to plentiful restaurants as well as a movie theater and a golf course. Of course, the sandy beach is right there and you can rent kayaks and other equipment. Nevada's casinos are a short drive away, as is Crystal Bay and the myriad ski resorts in North Lake Tahoe.
Cozy and inviting with modern touches, this North Lake Tahoe vacation rental will please any design aficionado in your large party.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. It was difficult to locate the cabin at 10pm, no lights were kept on. There was a strange truck in the driveway so we weren’t sure we were at the correct property. Upon entering the home we discovered the back door was left unlocked and the home wasn’t very clean.

This was a great little house. The location was close to everything and it was easy to get to. We brought our dogs with us and they enjoyed the fact that we could walk out the back door and take a hike in the National Forest. The back was not fully fenced, so you wouldn't want to leave the dogs unattended, but it was fine if you were watching the dogs (which you should be at a rental). The house provided essential toiletries and toilet paper (some don't).
The only negative was that there were rather large ants all over the kitchen. We spent quite a bit of time trying to find and kill them and found them in various places throughout the kitchen during our stay.
The beds were comfortable and the space worked well for two adults and two large dogs. The windows were difficult to operate/open and there were no screens which would have been nice for some air flow on what was a warm weekend.
Overall, I would definitely stay again provided the ant situation was under control.

Cabin overall was fine. There was no snow removal of driveway, that was promised. There was no fenced yard, as promised. Disappointed!! Feel cheated.

The place was clean and had a functional kitchen. Close to grocery store. Also had a nice trail behind the house to walk with dog and kids. My family enjoyed staying here. The downside of this property was there is no A/C which would have been fine had the windows had screens on them. The house had a smoke smell to it and no way to get fresh air inside unless you wanted to let the mosquitos in to eat you. A previous review mentioned screens were ordered but when I called and inquired about that I was told the owners cancelled the order. So beware you are counting on a few small fans to cool the place down.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The property was very cute, and conveniently located. We loved the direct access to hiking trails from the backyard.
This property sits directly on the main road, so traffic is loud, but with the doors and windows closed, you couldn't hear it from inside.
The rooms were comfortable, and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. The issue we had was with the cleanliness. The furniture was very dirty. We actually used extra sheets we found to cover up the couch before we could sit on it. The floors were sticky, the showers hadn't been cleaned, and the bathtub drained really slowly. Just not a lot of attention to detail in the cleaning. Aside from that it was really nice.

Our group of 6 had a great stay here! They had everything we could need and it was very clean and cute. It was the perfect location for us to get to Palisades for the weekend. I would recommend anyone to stay here!

Deerhead Cabin was cozy, funky as mountain cabins should be, clean, accessible (we have disabilities) and pet friendly. Loved all the books, the fireplace and renovations were appreciated.

great place for the price
comfortable and clean house, eclectic and cool interior, and nice kitchen with great proximity to lake tahoe beaches. dishwasher would be a nice addition. main bathroom was nice with upgraded fixtures. the kids bathroom could definitely use some work, especially the carpet flooring! house has no a/c which is fine, but we were afraid to keep the screenless windows open for fear of bugs getting into the house.

Overall, this house is adorable and cosy. A nice big flat screen tv with apple tv is a nice touch for the evenings, after you've spent all day at the beach or hiking. Board games and books are available, too. Part of the kitchen has been remodeled, and there's a newer washer and dryer. Very nice.
The third bedroom definitely needs new mattresses. Even my young kids complained it felt like they were sleeping on wood. And both showers need new fixtures. One of them is broken, and the other one shoots out water so hard, you feel like it might blast your skin off.

Kings Beach is a convenie...
Kings Beach is a convenient location where you can easily access NorthStar, Tahoe City, and Incline Village. However, the cabin is directly on 267 which makes it very noisy and if you have kids and/or dogs, safety becomes an issue.

This place is fantastic!
We arrived late at night during off-season. The home is very clean, neat, and well cared-for. The appletv and airplay are very cool. The wifi is great. We had a fantastic time, and if we head back to the region anytime soon, we will definitely check this place out again! Easy driving to everywhere, quiet, safe, and lovely :)

Great cabin in Kings Beach. It's walking distance to the beach and the Old Brockway 9 hole golf course is across the street. The cabin itself was in great condition. The kitchen was updated and the bedroom linens were crisp. We were concerned that the backyard wasn't fenced for our black lab, but it worked out great. It has a nice sized yard that you can throw a ball for your dog to go retrieve in the mornings while your sitting on the back deck drinking coffee. We're hoping to stay here again.

our stay in kings beach
We had a great time. The house was very close to the lake. The back yard was lovely and peaceful. The home itself clean and kitchen equipped with everthing you need. Oven was tricky tho...the 2 bedrooms with queen mattresses very comfortable. Platform bed not so much!!overall a great place.

Great combination of funkiness and modernity
I rented this charming cabin with 5 friends recently, and we really enjoyed its myriad charms. It's an older home, perhaps circa 1940's or 50's, and has the expected knotty pine paneling throughout. But it also has a fabulous, newly updated sleek bathroom, Apple TV and 42" flatscreen, terrific contemporary kitchen (1/2 is modern, the other half is original....a really cool combination you can see in the rental site photos, but it's even more wonderful in person). We loved the wood-burning fireplace, and gathering pine cones to use as starters.
This has to be the mosy completely stocked home I've ever rented.....the kitchen cupboards were chocked full of things like spices, olive oil, pasta, coffee filters.....almost anything and everything your own. The cookware was fabulous. There's even a large bathroom pantry with stuff your own bathroom might have.
The third "bedroom" has a platform with several futons, a bit more suitable for children than
adults, and the adjoining bathroom has not been updated, but it's very clean, charming and well-functioning.
We all really appreciated the super-efficient and hi-tech heating system, as well.
The location is NOT remote and private, but it's very near the beach and the near-by Safeway.
The double windows do make a big difference in reducing street noise, however.
The owners of this home clearly take pride in it's design and furnishings, and my friends and I felt
at home immediately, so much so that we decided to cook all three dinners there rather than
eat out.

Very nice views for the price

Great Views from Deck
This is what I consider to be a very old, traditional Tahoe cabin. Some parts of it are run down, but overall, it is very clean, and the location and views are fabulous! The decor in the cabin is very old, but nice. It's what I expected in an old Tahoe cabin.
Cons: Getting from car to deck would be challenging if you are older, or carrying a baby, luggage, groceries, skis, etc. Lack of proper stairs or path should be addressed by owners. Don't get me wrong- if you are young and healthy and your hands are empty it is not a problem to get from car to deck.
Pros: Downstairs is cozy and clean. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker, coffee, linens, and spices. Downstairs bed is really comfy. There is a nice selection of DVD's. There are plenty of towels and extra blankets. Shampoo/conditioner, lotions, and soaps are provided. Washer/dryer with laundry soap provided is a huge plus! It is clear that the owners have made an effort to be hospitable. And again, the wide lake view is stunning!

Great Time on Beaver Street
This cabin is modest and very comfortable. The deck had a beautiful view with peaks of the lake and the cabin's layout was very nice. Upstairs was very hot (we were here end of June) but cooled down quickly once the windows were open. The cabin was a short walk to the lake but it was a decent uphill climb on the way back (hence the nice view) so we opted to drive to the beach. It was definitely walkable, just not ideal with lots of beach gear. The cabin was on the older side, definitely a bit worn, but exactly what I expected and we were very happy. We used the BBQ both nights and enjoyed using the kitchen and the easy access to the deck. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very serene. We would definitely stay here again.
