The kitchen was well-equipped without a dishwasher. While very clean, the bathroom was tiny. Loved the wooden floors but the decor was spartan with no reclining chairs. The strong musty basement smell when entering through the back door was offensive. The second floor bedroom was carpeted and nicely furnished.

The house was exactly as expected! It was in a great location! Cleanliness was excellent and it was very easy to get ahold of Kay! Highly recommend!

This property was the perfect location in town for our small family vacation. The property came equipped with all that we would have needed. Comfortable bed. Clean upon entering. Overall great experience!

This charming, clean, well-maintained home is conveniently located across from a park and a grocery store. It is a short walk to the lakefront and downtown Algoma. My dog and I enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the area.

Wanted to visit Door County, but found Algoma had so much to offer, we spent much more time right in town. Great food and drinks and everyone we encountered was friendly. The house is PERFECTLY located to conveniently enjoy Algoma. So neat, clean and convenient, it had everything we wanted!
4.7
The beds were very comfortable.
Kitchen had wide arrange of cookware plus minor things like salt/pepper, cooking oil, etc.
Owners were very helpful in finding local places to eat.
Overall was a wonderful experience.

As advertised, great location and town was nice.

This house fit all of our needs perfectly. Having the grocery store so close was a huge bonus. We also had a great time walking to the beach and having ice cream at the local family restaurant.
4.7
Property was in a nice location and clean. All. The cooking utensils and dishes you would need. We just would have liked a little bit more comfortable furniture. Main floor mattress is a bit too soft for us.

We (husband, two boys under 12, and our golden doodle) had a great time in Algoma, staying in this house. We felt right at home, had everything we needed to make meals, and enjoyed the comfy beds, but especially loved the location. The day we arrived, we walked to the lake and were able to hear live music and enjoy the beautiful scenery. And having a grocery store right across the street?! So so helpful! I highly suggest Son of Scaliwags for dinner - a dive bar with insanely high-quality food, and Smashed on the Rocks for the most insane Bloody Mary and a great, kooky atmosphere. We were also able to drive just 30-40 minutes away to Sturgeon Bay and rent a pontoon for the afternoon. Such a fun, enjoyable vacation! To top it all off, we were able to have our fur baby with us. Kay was great and responded whenever we needed her. Overall an amazing vacation.

We planned a long weekend in Algoma to do some salmon fishing and had a great stay! The marina was only 4 or 5 blocks away, the house was in a great location.
4.7
We enjoyed our stay in Algoma. Close to Door County so we were able to make day trips and still be back at the house at a reasonable hour. Nice to have the grocery store across the street and within a short walk to the downtown. Being able to have our dogs was a nice plus. Would stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at this home! The home is very clean, has everything you need and the bed is very comfy - we slept great! There's a grocery store across the street and the boardwalk and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The neighborhood was very quiet. It's located in a cute town, far enough away from the busyness of Door County (which we wanted) but so close to drive up to enjoy that as well. Communication with the owner couldn't have been better. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone. Thanks for a great place to celebrate our 35th anniversary!

We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable beds and well stocked. Only caveat is very tight space in bathroom. If you are larger or taller toilet is uncomfortable.
4.7
Excellent location close to restaurants, marina, beach, grocery store. This is a gem. You won’t be disappointed.
4.7
Property very nice. Algoma needs more restaurants that cater to people that visit. Too many bars. Would recommend home to anyone.

Really clean. Upstairs bedroom musky and stairs to steep for older adults. Downstairs was perfect.
We had a great stay .

Cute and amazingly clean rental. We loved the property and the town of Algoma. Location was okay, kind of far from the action. We definitely saw a lot of Door County, loved every minute of that! Thank you for being pet friendly, our dogs loved it too!!

Property is as described in the listing. Just a couple of blocks from town and a little bit further to the beach and harbor. Great host communication. Would stay again.

Great stay for a girls weekend in Door County!

Our mini-vacation was kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing and when we started planning our trip there were few vacation homes available. Luckily we found this property in the quiet town of Algoma last minute and booked it. Let me start by saying the photos online do not do this SUPER cute home justice. The owner has really done some nice updates to this older home! I am also a real clean freak and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when we stepped inside. It was so clean I didn't even have to use the cleaning supplies I always bring along. Even better are the beds! We tried both out just to make sure and they were both VERY comfortable. In fact, I snuck a peek at the mattress and plan on ordering one for our guest bedroom!
The best thing about this home though is definitely the location. It's just walking distance from the grocery store where we were able to pick up a few items we forgot for our stay. And it's also walking distance to a few good places to eat, as well as about six blocks to the beach where we enjoyed several quiet evenings listening to the waves and watching the boats go out. Even better it's just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Door County but close enough where you can enjoy the GORGEOUS drive along the coast. (Don't be afraid to veer off the main roads and drive along the coast on the county roads.)
Overall, we really enjoyed our mini-vacation and hope to come back next year! A big thank you to Kay for being a great hostess and opening up her sweet home to us!

The house was nice and clean, located in a nice part of town near shops and the boardwalk. Definitely a nice place in Algoma.

The Algoma home was the perfect place to stay. Everything is walking distance, especially the lake! It's proximity to Door County made it even better. The home was spotless, comfy, and exactly what we needed for our weekend getaway. Thank you!

Overall, the house provided for a very comfortable stay, and the location was great for taking day trips to explore different parts of Door County. The house was very clean and well organized. The beds and all the furniture were in great shape. The kitchen had everything we needed.

5 Stars!!
This is a very nice house with a great location! It is clean and comfortable with many more nice features coming! Kay was great to work with and responded to any questions very quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute house in a cute town
This is an adorable house with great turn-of-the-century architecture. The location is great: a grocery store across the street, a big park close by, 2 blocks from downtown, walkable to the beach. It is an easy drive to Sturgeon Bay and all of Door County.
Communicating with Kay was super easy.
The only downside was the windows have paper blinds that make a lot of crinkly noises when the windows are open (and I kept worrying the wind would rip) and don't keep the sun out in the morning.

Just PERFECT!
We stayed for 2 winter weeks & had a wonderful time. The house was everything & more! Just one block from downtown on a quiet street. The home was immaculate & the bed was ridiculously comfortable.
Kay was a fantastic host & was quick to answer any questions.
