About this house rental
We bought and furnished this particular property to cater to families like ours. In fact, it will comfortably accommodate two small families. The master bedroom has king bed with en suite bathroom. The guest bedroom has a queen bed; both bedrooms have large sliding glass doors to access the large covered balcony that overlooks the pool and Galleon Bay. The kids' bedroom is extra large with two sets of bunk beds and its own entertainment center with 40 inch HD Smart TV . The sunset view from this bedroom's balcony is breathtaking . Cable and internet were recently installed ; however , keep in mind this is the Bahamas. Internet speed and reliability are not what we enjoy in the states. The salt water pool is mere steps from the covered downstairs patio. Or, you can watch your children from the Charleston swing bed or double lounge chair on the upstairs covered balcony. Our private pool is shared with two other homes on property .(By comparison, Bahamas Beach Club has 1 pool for 84 units) We hope to make lots of memories and hope our guests do, too.
This property has numerous amenities that set it apart from most Bahamas rentals: a 50,000 Watt generator to ensure continuous electricity during the inevitable power outages and a high pressure pump to ensure constant water pressure. However, again, in the Bahamas these amenities can be quite temperamental. Also, there is a Tiki bar with a gas grill . Gas grill works great ; but, like most gas grills, the ignitor went out a long time ago.For lighting lift far left grate and use either lit paper towel or long lighter to reach burner then turn burner on . The tiki bar is still being renovated and is awesome for poolside entertaining . Amenities also include35-foot boat slip with 6 foot depth at low tide ; and, water filtration system. We also provide beach chairs, toys, and towels, as well as 2 beach cruiser bicycles. If the tiki bar grill is unavailable we have a back-up gas grill and small charcoal grill, which my husband prefers for steaks.,
Although the Abacos is well-known for its low crime rate, we installed extra security precautions: a wall safe to store your valuables; extra flood lights on the house exterior; and, the dock area has motion-activated lights. We also installed cameras to remotely monitor the boat slip and driveway .
As my husband is an avid foodie, the kitchen is extremely well-stocked with cookware, utensils, appliances, and storage containers. The 5-burner electric stove will allow you to easily cook a feast for a large gathering; and, there are 12 dining seats available. For those that don't want to eat in , there are a handful of dining out options. The beachfront Bahamas Beach Club has reopened; the food is a little pricey but excellent . It offers a beautiful view when dining outside . The landmark Florence's Café (Flo's) now serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Her cinnamon buns are an absolute must when visiting Treasure; and ,her grouper fingers meal is awesome. A take-out dining option is Creative Hands. Don't let the exterior---a dilapidated trailer--- fool you.The food is delicious. I highly recommend their tasty cole slaw ; it goes great with fish tacos made with your catch of the day . Lastly, for those who want a delicious meal but don't want to leave the house, have it catered by Nettie's Kitchen Catering. Desiree and Deniro operated a restaurant A touch of Class pre-Dorian . Now, they prepare and deliver authentic Bahamian cuisine. We have not tried it yet . The reviews are impressive ; and, the prices are very reasonable . A new restaurant, Sunset Pizza, has recently opened. We ate there on our last visit; and, the Italian style pizza is very, very good.
The Abacos is coming back strong. We definitely recommend bringing or renting a boat to do a little island-hopping when visiting Treasure . Dodge's Book "Cruising the Abacos" is an excellent resource for navigation . Our favorite hot-spots are Grabbers and Nippers on Great Guana and Big O's on No-Name. And don't forget about Cap'n Jacks in Hopetown on elbow cay. About a 45 minute boat ride but Hopetown is a trend little settlement to trek around.
If you have a large group, there are 2 neighboring properties with identical floor plans with whom we share the pool and other amenities. If you are flying into Marsh Harbor, we can help you arrange for a driver to pick you up, take you to Maxwell's/beverage store to stock up, and then deliver you to the house. We have a retained caretaker that will respond immediately to any issues that may arise.
If you have a large group, there are two other homes on our property. Their VRBO numbers are 3137520 and 2939381.
I look forward to hosting your group .

Property was as advertised. Very clean and well stocked with all essentials for our week stay. Communication with host before and during our stay was spot on. Home was super clean. We will be booking this home again for next summer. No need to look elsewhere!

Property was great exactly as advertised, communication was great any time I reached out responded quickly. Have never been to Abaco had an amazing trip with my family. Rented a boat which is definitely a must to be out on the water and be able to explore the area. Treasure Cay was great just a bit isolated and still rebuilding from Dorian. A bit of a haul if have to get into Marsh Harbor and have to cross water to get to other islands. I would definitely consider returning to this rental if decide to stay in Treasure Cay area again, beach is one of the most beautiful beaches with lots of sand dollars.

Great place.

The house is awesome and Anna their cleaning person checked on us and helped with some info and such. She was great! The property for Bahamas is excellent…it does need a little attention to things like hot tub, pool lighting and general grounds as far as weeds and such in pavers. We had a great experiance and John and Allision were awesome to work with!

The house was incredible! Great location with a dock that is a few minutes to open water, pool, BBQ station, very well maintained and fully stocked kitchen, etc. Its just like you would set it up if you owned the house!

Great stay all around!

We had stayed in Treasure Cay for five winters prior to Darion and Covid. Our decision to return was made with full knowledge that the many amenities once available were not yet. The area is still very much in the rebuild stage. However, the incredibly beautiful ocean, beach, people, quaintness and ambience would be the same. The house was spotless, very pleasing decor, kitchen very well equipped. Hot tub only available for owners, neither propane barbecues were fully operable so we used the small charcoal or cooked in kitchen. With only one restaurant operating in Treasure Cay, cooking at property is important. Also, in this setting with two other houses sharing the common area, everyone is at the mercy of the other renter’s lifestyle. We experienced 18 university students who rented the other two houses on the property. They were the very best neighbours one could ask for in every way. Netflix was available on the TV, however, the account was shared with the owner in the US, therefore often not available for our use. With so little open in Treasure Cay, for entertainment, streaming was important. We are two seniors renting for the month of March, who simply chose the wrong setting for us.

Our property was very well appointed we wanted for nothing. It was exactly what we wanted and was enjoyed by all. We recommend and possibly stay again!

Johnny & Allison were great to work with and very helpful as we were making our first boat crossing from Florida. They were very quick to respond and the property is great!

We had an amazing stay these past two weeks. Rented all three properties as we had a large group(21ppl). We loved how clean everything was. The tiki bar was a great place to gather in the evenings. Lots of laughs and memories made for sure. Can’t wait to see fritter the dog nextdoor again. So fun!

We were 2 families with 20-something adult kids…the home was beautiful, kitchen had all the appliances we needed, pool and jacuzzi were a perfect way to end the day after boating and visiting other islands, access to dock made it easy to load and unload the boat for our daily visits to other out islands. Washer and dryer and ice machine in garage were added bonuses.
Allison was attentive and quick to answer some questions we had.
Definitely recommend this home and will be back in the future!

This is one of those sweet places you want to keep to yourself, but it wouldn't be fair to the host Allison!!
Everything was perfect (even better in person) as promised online. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, and everything we needed to feel at home.
Communication was easy, Allison was prompt with responding, and helpful with every aspect of our reservation and stay.
A guest book was also provided with particular detailed information for house items/need to knows, restaurants, travel sights, and helpful contact information for property manager and housekeeper.
Sleeping accommodations were comfy and clean, bathrooms spacious, and a well stocked kitchen. An added plus, great outside seating upstairs and downstairs to enjoy the views and a drink or two!
We loved our stay and felt safe!

The house was wonderful. We enjoyed having the pool and meeting new friends and neighbors. The location was perfect. We rented a golf cart which was also helpful. Docking the boat was easy and right by the house. Allison was very attentive to any questions we had about the property. We can’t wait to go back! We had a fabulous time!

Everything was amazing from the time we walked in the door. They have gone above and beyond in making sure that the home is ready for you. It has everything you may need.
This will become our second home when in the Bahamas!

We had a fantastic stay at Coconut Cottages. Everything was perfect from the house which had everything we needed and was very clean. The beds were comfy, plenty of towels. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking in. The pool, tiki bar and grill were an added luxury. We had our boat docked right at the house and even had our friends rent one of the other two units that shared the pool! We will definitely rent again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week vacation here! The home is completely remodeled in a tasteful, coastal vibe with everything you could need. Some of our favorite aspects included the outdoor grill/bar next to the pool, the bikes, and the balcony off the master bedroom. There are plenty of outdoor chairs for lounging in or out of the sun. We highly recommend renting a golf cart to get around and arranging transportation from the airport ahead of time. We rented a boat from the marina area one day and got to explore other nearby islands. We loved the cinnamon buns and baked goods from Cafe La Florence and would grab locally caught fish from the liquor store. Treasure Cay is a beautiful place, still recovering from Hurricane Dorian, but coming back strong and well worth the visit.

Absolutely beautiful home. Well maintained. Provided everything we needed for a great stay.
Amazing community with extremely friendly people!

My family and I had a fantastic time at treasure cay. This property met and exceeded our expectations. We were down for a short trip for my four girls, ages 8-12, first lobster season in the Bahamas. The boat dock was in a great location with easy access to the Sea of Abaco. The property was a short golf cart ride to the Abaco Beach Club and Treasure Cay beach, one of the best beaches in the world! After a long day boating and playing in the water it was great to be able to come back to the house and continue to play in the pool and relax in the hot tub. Hopefully we will be able to come back soon and bring friends and family.

Comfortable and pretty place!
We just spent 6 nights here and were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable space and decor. The dining table is quite large with seating for 6, and there are another 2 seats at the bar. The home is nicely appointed with good mattresses, pillows and linens in each room/bathroom. The layout of the house itself is great, with an open living-dining area looking out to the patio, and an attached garage space that houses a large capacity washer and standard dryer. The bedrooms are all upstairs and each room has beautiful views to the water. Because the home is one of three situated on the property, there are neighbors often present in the outside and pool areas. During our visit this was a plus! There is a dock perhaps better suited to vessels 35' or smaller but our 38' boat was fine there. The location on Treasure Cay is close enough to the inlet for easy access but is far enough away to be protected from any wake and weather issues. And the water area is just beautiful!
The only challenges we had with our stay was the power going off multiple times (neighbors told us, "It's the Bahamas!") but the property's generator's transfer switch was not functioning so when power went out the generator did not automatically kick in to power the house and when power comes back on you must put yourself back on the grid. This happened frequently while cooking meals, doing laundry and in the evening when we relied on lighting to see. Fortunately, neighbors were available and eager to assist on the numerous times we called upon them to get us powered back up as they knew how to manually adjust the generator. We were told the owner will have this problem repaired soon, so hopefully the next guest would not have this same experience. One small bit of advice would be to bring extra toilet paper in your suitcase as, according to the cleaning person who we met, only 1 roll is allotted per bathroom and the alternative is going by golf cart/boat to pay a premium for it. We had not been to Treasure Cay previously and we enjoyed our visit and found this location to be a lovely home base during our stay. If we hadn't been boating so much of the time, laying on the upstairs balcony swing is where you'd find me.

Amazing property in Treasure
This property is very well kept and perfect for a family. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need and the pool is beautiful. Also, having a boat dock was very convenient.

Even though our trip was cut short by two days due to weather, we had an amazing time in Treasure Cay. The property was absolutely gorgeous with awesome amenities. We will definitely come back and stay at this property. We love the Abaco's and have been visiting for almost 20 years now. Even though the islands are not up to what they use to be (before Hurricane Dorian), there was still plenty to do. Until next time!!!!

We booked this property for my wife's 40th birthday and it was absolutely perfect. We had 6 adults at the house and it fit us more than comfortably. The house was clean and well stocked with everything you need to cook in, which we did every night. The kitchen is updated and there is a nice little outdoor kitchen/bar where we spent every evening. If you are coming by boat as we did the dock easily accommodated my 30' boat and had plenty of water. The homeowners were very accommodating and stayed in touch to make sure we were having a good experience. Treasure Cay itself is still recovering from Hurricane Dorian. There is a lot of re building going on and it's not the bustling place it once was. The beach club is open and very nice if your looking for a little entertainment (my group was their own entertainment). There is also about a hundred pound tarpon that hangs out at the dock and puts on a show. I very highly recommend this property and we will definitely be back the next time we come to the Abacos.

From the initial booking Allison and Johnny were communicating with me and offering their assistance. The house is everything in the pictures and so much more. The home was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and felt like being at home. Home is complete with standby generator, pool, and jacuzzi. Kayaks and bikes were available in the garage but we didn't make time as we spent all of our time island hopping. Highly recommend this home if you are looking for a waterfront property with a nice dock.
My only regret is that we had to leave. Already trying to find time to return!! Thank you Allison and Johnny for sharing your home and giving my family an incredible vacation.

Amazing experience, great manager, excellent house for a Treasure Cay vacation
This house checks all the boxes: It's beautifully appointed, yet still cozy; the kitchen is fully equipped (probably better than most primary homes); it's very comfortable with features like a porch bed swing on the second floor balcony; and, it includes bicycles, beach toys & chairs: just what you need for an afternoon on one of Treasure Cay's stunning beaches. The property manager could not have possibly been more responsive and accommodating. We enjoyed four days of lazing about by the pool or in the bed swing, bike rides, island hopping, and cooking in, and we had all we need to make that happen in this wonderful house. Everything was about our comfort, from the plush towels to the quality bed linens. The master suite has a great king size bed, a balcony looking over to the water, and a large, modern bath with walk-in shower. Each of the two other bedrooms were beautiful and also very inviting. The house is conveniently located a short bike ride from the beach, marina, market, Flo's, and Bahama Beach Club. I couldn't have asked for more during our stay and will definitely return to this lovely house.

Home on treasure jet .
The home was beautiful and I really want to honor that because it looks like a lot of time was spent on that. We didn’t know we would be sharing a pool with two other homes. And the hot tub and grill didn’t work as the propane was gone . The internet wasn’t working , but sent help . Over all I was happy, but a few friends were not being they needed to Have internet and it was spotty . But also in all he home is beautiful and so is the island .
