Incredibly situated only 400 feet from the nearest beach access point, Grey Seal is a place for family vacations, couples' retreats, and reunions with friends and loved ones near the very heart of Lincoln City. With more than 3,000 square feet of living space, this home offers a private hot tub, an expansive game room, and four bedroom suites with private bathrooms - all within walking distance of the gorgeous ocean beach.
Built in 2016 in the third row back from the ocean, this three-level home is polished, spacious, and well-designed for a group. Enter by way of a covered porch and a two-story foyer, and make your way into the open great room that's lined with windows. Anchoring this airy, communal space is a modern kitchen with white quartz countertops, LG stainless steel appliances (including a French-door refrigerator and freezer, a five-burner gas stove, a large oven, and a dishwasher), and an oversize island with bar seating for four. There are both drip and Keurig coffee makers, all sorts of bonus tools such as a rice cooker, and an adjoining dining room with seating for 14. Seamlessly connecting to this space is an open living room with a sectional sofa, a gas fireplace, a 55-inch Smart TV, and built-in cabinets storing DVDs and board games for your enjoyment.
There are two decks on this floor - a shaded deck off the living room with a gas grill for summer barbecues and a sheltered deck off the entry hall (with frosted glass walls for privacy and wind protection) that's home to the private hot tub. Even more entertainment awaits downstairs in the media room, where you'll find foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard, and Pacman gaming tables, as well as a 55-inch flatscreen TV.
When it's time to turn in, there are four bedroom suites - each with its own private bathroom, memory foam mattress, Smart TV, built-in USB plugs, and closet with extra blankets and a luggage rack. We loved the layout and each bedroom having its own bath. Big kitchen, long table for 10-12. Lots of stairs and entrance to beach is also lots of stairs. Nice beach and tide pools.

The Grey Seal was a great home for our family beach trip! We loved the fact that each bedroom its own bathroom! The kitchen and living room was large enough for everyone to gather. The downstairs game room was a bonus as well as the hot tub!

This house is amazing just like the listing says. There is so much room. The table seats 12 comfortably perfevt for family meals amd games. I love that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The games and toys are great so you dont have to oack your own.

Loved that the house had bathrooms in all the bedrooms . We traveled with a party of 9 . Adults , teens and kids . Beach access does have about 120 steep steps and the ADA ramp is about a half a mile away so that’s something to take into consideration staying here . Great house though and fully equipped for all your vacation needs ❤️

Was a nice stay with family, the house was clean and accommodating. Only issues were that the dryer made a loud noise and the barbecue grill was completely rusted and falling apart so could not use it at all

The location is amazing. Close ocean access. Also very close to stores and restaurants.
This house was a great size for my family. Each room being a suite and having its own bathroom was a big plus. Great open kitchen, living room and dining room. Large family table and bar with nice stools. Family room with games down stairs was great. Plenty of dishes for a large family.
The oven was a bit of a issue. Worked great the first day we stayed, but day 2 trying to cook breakfast for 6 hungry kiddos and the oven took about 45 min to finally turn on after messing with it for awhile. The TV and remotes were a cluster of frusteration. We were only able to get the living room tv to work. Lots of remotes in different bedrooms, but could not ever make them work with any tv's. Not a huge deal, because we really were not there to watch tv. Just a little frustrating when kiddos wanted to watch something at night. A few other minor things like some of the blinds not working in one bedroom, and not having many trash bags.
This is a great place for a large family that want quick beach access and also easy access to stores.

Positives- The house has a great location and was very clean. Easy check in and check out process. Loved that each room had its own bathroom. Great for multiple couples / family vacations.
For the size of the house the supplies in the kitchen were lacking. The master bathroom door doesn’t stay closed as the key hole does not line up. The shower curtain in the master is way too small for the size of the shower.
Overall we had a great stay and would book again.

This place was beautiful! And SOO close to the beach! I always bring my own pots and pans and crock pot but found when I got there it was fully stocked with everything you need to feed a crowd! Loved this house and will defy e coming back! OH and the hot tub was amazing! Gets up to temperature fast with lots of space!

The house was wonderful. Very close to the beach. The communication was good. However when we arrived there was a wet towel and garbage over the entry stairs that we ended up having to clean up. The hot tub was also green/murky & not clean. The thermostat was set unbelievably hot and kept resetting to a hot temperature despite us changing it everyday. Otherwise it was a great house that fit our family’s needs.

We wanted to love this place. The location was great. The master bedrooms with their own bathrooms was convenient. The listing boasted several amenities that lacked quality and/or even operational.
The most inconvenient and unacceptable factor was the lack of a working oven. Of course, we did not discover this unfortunate disappointment until after we went grocery shopping and spent over $800 in food to prepare during the course of our stay. The maintenance guy responded promptly when we contacted the management, but their lack of concern over this major problem was insulting. Apparently, the oven has been a problem for over a year and a "ticket" had been placed to fix it, but obviously it was not addressed by the owner. We waited to hear back from the property management company but they never called us back. The following day, we called back and were told they could offer and minimal refund ($113) for the inconvenience of not having a working oven for the entirety of our stay. We replied that this was insulting and were expecting a follow up call after a member of higher management was consulted. We never heard back from the property manager, but instead the sent the maintenance man back with a counter top toaster oven/convection oven to serve as a replacement for the nonworking oven. As we already had spend a fortune on groceries, we made do with what we had but we not very happy about it. We will never rent a house ran by Vacasa ever again.

Each bedroom is en-suite with a dedicated bathroom. Basement is an activity room with food ball, air hockey, shuffleboard and big tv. Kitchen and great room are comfortable. Beach view and close to beach. Will definitely go back!

Great place for the family! Everyone had their own bathroom. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything from toaster ovens to coffee makers. The game room was a big hit! Even an air hockey table in the garage! Hot tub was amazing! Will definitely book again in the future!

The whole layout of the house worked great for us. Four bedrooms with bathrooms, 3 upstairs and 1 downstairs. We had some difficulty with a number of things in the house but Vacasa did their best to address some of them.

The house had plenty of room for our whole extended family of 12. It was wonderful that every bedroom had a bathroom. The only thing we didn't appreciate was that the dishwasher was out of order. Since we ate every meal at the house that meant a lot of dishwashing that we were not anticipating, especially that we were on vacation. Other than a slow draining shower on the main floor bedroom everything worked well and we had plenty of room. Yes, we could not see the beach or the ocean from the house but it was a quick walk down to the beach and that worked. When it was too rainy it was great to have the downstairs room where all the kids could hang out. Parking was a challenge for three big vehicles but we made it work.

Gave 3 stars because I am nice and fair, my family wanted me to give them 1 star. .
Pros of the house:
- The inside of the house was beautiful. We loved the fact all the bedrooms had a bathroom.
- The housekeeper did an amazing job making sure everything looks neat.
- The hot tub was a great relation moment and highlight on our Saturday night.
- The beach was just 3-5 mins away- walking distance.
The kitchen was fully equipped, and we loved that. Even though we brought our own stuff.
Cons about the house:
-Firstly, lack of communication on vacasa side. I reached out to them regarding Early and late checkout- I am still waiting for their response. The FAQ section states the app will tell us if we could do Early and late check-out but it never did.
-We arrived at the home at 3 pm- Got access to the locked box. The door knop was broken and won't let us push and open the door. I call vacasa and all I got was the automated message. I texted the number they provided via automation and nobody is responding. We pretty much had to force ourselves into the house by using the side door. (I Plead the 5th).
-Finally, someone at Vacasa responded to my text message and stopped by to take a look at the front door just to confirm it was broken. But can't fix it because it has to do with Locksmith and no one will be available this 4th of July weekend. So we could only use the side door.
• -The outside of the house could use some cleaning Spider webs and green fungi. I get it the house is not too far from the Ocean- but still, clean the outside per season.
• The housekeeper did an awful job cleaning the house.
• Almost all the beds had stains and hair from the previous renter. So we washed all the sheets and got clean ones. They only left 5 pods for the laundry for a family of 12 staying at the house. Some of the towels didn't smell fresh either so we had to wash them too.
• The fridge was turned off so we had to wait 18 hours for our food to get cool and we didn't realize that after day 2.
• The Hot-tub was too full- just one person getting in the tub, and the water was flowing over, and also too much chloride was used you could feel it on your skin immediately.
• Don't even ask me about the grill. The BBQ has never been cleaned. So much leftover grease all over the grill. Thank God, I brought some bbq grill mats. I cleaned the grill to avoid a major fire and then added my grill mat so I could bbq on a clean surface.

It was perfect for our needs and plenty of space. It has room to sleep many more than it says. Only garage door code opener didn’t work and a few of the blinds need repair. 5 minute walk to beach was nice as well. Got to climb lots of stairs in this house too.

This house had plenty of bathrooms, games, tv’s, beds! It was just the right choice for our girl’s trip away but eoukd be perfect for a multi family, with mixed ages too!

We have stayed at this property several times and each time it is amazing.
The suites are great and it works for multiple families and groups of people.
We will continue going here yearly for our get togethers.

The house was very comfortable for our large group, which was a huge plus. The large couch and kitchen table were comfortable, and we really enjoyed the game room downstairs. But there were quite a few small annoyances about the house. First, we were forced to have a late checkin time because the cleaning crew needed more time, which caused us to totally change our dinner plans upon arrival. The next night we went to use the grill and it was out of propane, which would have been nice to know upon arrival. There were ashes left on the deck, even though the property is non smoking. The ice maker in the freezer wasn’t working properly, and there were no ice trays to fill.
So overall the house was pretty good, but quite a few challenges along the way that were small things we expected to work properly.

We loved the space that the house afforded -- bedrooms and bathrooms for all of our large family. The basement game room was where we hung out in the evening after dinner. The nearby beach (very walkable) and hikes (short drive) were how we spend our days.
Would definitely come back! Highly recommended.

Everything was so spacious and pretty in this home. Close walk to the beach. Lots of fun things to do in the house. Only suggestion would be to remove the couch cover as it was hard to maintain.

EVEN BETTER THAN EXPECTED
The Grey Seal is an absolute amazing find. We were a little skeptical at first because the pictures looked too good to be true, but it turned out to be even better than expected. The home was clean, access was easy and it was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. There were seven of us in our party by the house could have easily slept 10-12 people comfortably and had so much room to spread out… including an amazing basement game room that was perfect for evenings in! The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and allowed for us to easily cook anything! The best part about this house? It has brand new owners that left a sweet note telling us how excited they were for us to stay with them and that they plan to make the home even better!! 10/10 would recommend this home and a trip to Lincoln City. Amazing views, easy access to the beach and a beautiful mountain hike. Couldn’t have been any better.
