This home was awesome! My family had a wonderful short stay, and wished we could have stayed there longer. It was very close to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cabin was cozy and fairly secluded in the woods, with lots of areas to sit together indoors and outdoors too. We would highly recommend staying at Elkhorn cabin if you visit Asheville!

We loved the rustic feel of this cabin. We loved how close to downtown Asheville the home is yet located in the mountains.

Very clean! Comfortable places to relax. Very easy commute to Biltmore and downtown Asheville. No problems at all! Things to know- steep drive and tricky to find at first. Best done in daylight if possible. Serene woody area surroundings. The property was well maintained. We had a great experience!!!!

This is a beautiful, rustic cabin that you can tell has stories galore! Very comfortable, great beds, and linens, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great character with ample space across three floors to gather as a family or take quiet breaks. Steep climb up Avondale Ridge road added to the charm, like a stairway to heaven (but say your prayers if its icy!)

We loved our stay at the cozy Elkhorn cabin. It had everything we needed! It was close to DT Asheville and the Blueridge Pkwy for hiking. The outdoor seating, the screened in porch was a total value add. We loved the little fireplace when it got chilly. Highly recommend.

Quiet cabin in the mountains surrounded by trees. Artistic interior decorating inside. Close to everything.

Perfect spot for my husband and a few of our friends to get away for the weekend! Great location and central to everything we needed. With 6 of us we had the perfect amount of space in the house. The owners were very prompt in response and accommodating to make sure we had everything we needed.

We had a good stay for the Fourth of July. The location provides very easy access to Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville downtown and Biltmore area. Everything was less than 15 minutes drive, and super easy. The only thing to note is the cabin is very creaky - every step makes a creak, both top floor and main floor. Beds could probably use an update due to heavy divots. Otherwise, make time to enjoy the sauna - it's a wonderful experience!

We admired the wooden and woodland details of the cabin. The whole atmosphere was heartwarming and fun. If I could just add just a few suggestions they would be: better instructions for the tv we called Vacasa for help and they did respond the same day . The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean but the cleaning staff need to pick it up with regard to dusting and vacuuming the rugs, lamp shades, drawers. Great washer and dryer but no detergent which was annoying. Perhaps the last guest didn’t “pay it forward”.” I don’t know but it would have been helpful. Better signage because when we first arrived we went to the wrong cabin. The single lane road up to the cabin was ok in daylight but scary in the dark. You also need to have better and more ping pong equipment. Not enough paddles and poor quality. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, loved the quiet and slept later here than we have in years. Very comfortable beds, plenty of towels, the kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. We appreciated the story of the creation of your home which shows in the lovely details.

Really was perfect except the sheets on the king size bed in the loft are worn and really need replacing….
Was surprised at all the add on fees considerable raised the base price.
Poor signage directing us to cabin

Hike from the cabin
We had a wonderful Christmas at the cabin!! We wanted some place in the woods but close enough to downtown and this fit the bill. You can hike right out of the front door!

Wonderful Getaway
This home was the perfect getaway - Beautiful window views and a cozy cabin all within 10 -15 minutes to everything in Asheville you would want to go and do. We were able to easily accomplish all we hoped for because this location was so convenient! We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace, and the screen porch/deck set up for the surprising 70 degree weather we had one New Years. A terrific visit. We look forward to visiting again!

Nice Stay Close to Downtown Asheville
Comfortable property, 10 minute drive to Asheville. We enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement. Property is a little tricky to find, one suggestion would be step by step instructions on how to find in the check-in information.

The cabin was cozy and well-maintained. We loved the location on top of a small mountain, as it was quiet and serene. The narrow, steep roads made it a little challenging to find the cabin the first time.
The cabin is a great base camp for activities in the area. The Mountains to Sea trail is very close by and made for a nice day hike. Downtown Asheville was a quick 10 minute drive away. The Biltmore was also only about 10 minutes away. We would definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed for 35 days and found the cabin to be an amazingly beautiful home. It’s secluded and very comfortable. Norm, the owner, lives close by and was quick to respond to questions and requests. Cooking utensils were limited (no knife sharper than a butter knife), but we always bring our own knives and some pots and pans for long stays. Norm’s dog has an amazingly strong bark, but it woke us only a few nights. The home is roomy and the beds comfy – one has a luxurious foam top. The cabin has an expansive deck and a great screened porch for eating meals and watching fireflies at night.
