I have been with VRBO for many years but this is a dangerous property to stay at. We couldn’t even check in as it was a scary area to get out. Furniture on sidewalks turned upside down, bars on windows, garbage in the street. Parked cars on lawns. It was very unsafe and we could not stay there. Felt scared to get out of our rental car. Also the manager just said oh well contact VRBO never ever addressed the misrepresentation about a lux stay? Completely blown away by how we felt swindled after flying for 6 hours and going to a weekend graduation only to find a completely different place than any lux type of a stay. Someone could get mugged or worse be killed there. We paid $2k and wanted some back but never even got a reply from the manager. Very unprofessional and total rip off! Please be very aware that it’s not at all lux.

The neighborhood was rundown, broken down cars on the street and a liquor store on the corner with people outside drinking. Upon entering the home there was a strong smell of a cleaning product and the temperature in the home was 78 degrees. Opened the garage to find a pile of someone else's used sheets/towels sitting on a chair next to the washer/dryer (unsanitary at best). Went to push the garage door opener and stuck my hand in a cobweb with a spider in it...looked down and there were ants everywhere. As we began to put groceries away, there was a 1/2 full Brita in the fridge and food on the paper towel roll where the cleaner had just created a paper flower. Went to the restroom only to grab a piece of wet toilet paper. Pulled bedding down to prepare for bed and there were what appeared to be blood stains on two of the queen beds and spots on the twin bedding. Notified Host of the above only to be told that the cleaning person opened and placed brand new sheets on the beds, we could pull a new roll of paper towels out from the cupboard and they would send an insecticide person out to spray for the ants and spiders (I have all photos) We did not feel comfortable staying on the property due to safety and sanitary reasons. Needless to say, we requested a full refund (which was denied) left the property and found a nearby hotel.
