Darling home. Super clean with a great view. Highly recommend! Fyi, if you have little people, know that the swimming area is rocky. We went to a local park and it was perfect!

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Carefree Cottage. The cottage was very cute and really clean! The owners were quick to respond to questions and the check in process was extremely easy. We would definitely stay again!!

Absolutely peaceful getaway! We spent the night here for a quiet, unplugged, & peaceful getaway and it did not disappoint. The house was fresh and spotless clean and not overwhelmed with artificial plug-in deodorizers (like many are). While there is a big TV and plenty of movies & games, we literally sat on the screened in porch and enjoyed the view until the sky was dark and again at sunrise. The bird-watching was amazing, we saw a variety including bald eagles. This place goes on our list for a return visit for sure! The only negative was what I’m assuming is well water. Bring your own drinking water & we limited our hot water use. This was not enough to outweigh all of the wonderful perks this property has to offer. Thank you David & Cathy for sharing this little peaceful place.

We really enjoyed staying here. The kitchen was well equipped, the accommodation is ideal for two, and there’s a great view over the lake. It really suited us to be able to self-cater (we have been on holiday in the US and thus eating out every night) and chill out a bit …this was the perfect surroundings. We could walk trails etc in the various parks, around the dam and waterfront in Warsaw, really pleasant. We didn’t have a boat, but ideal for someone who does.

Just myself and my husband stayed here and it was not only quiet but surprisingly VERY clean for as old as the house is- and had the best stocked kitchen of any place we have stayed at. So very close to the lake and we could sit for hours watching the birds, fisherman, and just enjoy the peace. Thank you for sharing your little home with us!

This property was perfect for a quiet, offseason weekend. Modest, but well kept on the outside, inside this location is perfectly arranged and quite comfortable. We took a couple of short drives to see the town of Warsaw and also stopped in a couple of parks to hike around and look at the lake. It's hard to get a sense of just how beautiful the view off of the screened-in back deck is. It's a perfect spot to sit in quiet contemplation as the sun goes down over the lake.

The place was exactly as described - perfect for the two of us. We were blessed with beautiful weather during our visit and spent hours on the screened porch, enjoying the peace and serenity of the lake. The most entertaining neighborhood cat visited daily, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The house was exactly as described. The screened in porch provided an excellent place to view the sunset without the worry of flying insects. We stayed outside after dark and loved seeing all the fireflies. We wish we had more time to enjoy the lake and surrounding area. We’ll definitely be back.

Like visiting grandma's house. It feels like someone's home, with lots of kitchen utensils, condiments in the fridge, shampoo, body wash, charcoal and anything else you need already there!

We shut the front door and didn’t open it til we had to go back home! The king size bed was perfect. The kitchen was perfect. (Loved the bold coffee blend!) The couch/chair was perfectly angled to watch outside. And then there was the screened porch, the little momma bird/birdhouse feeding her babies… the kicker? It was the view , hands down the VIEW! Woke up early to watch sunrise and was there when she set. I thought it would be loud in the neighborhood, especially on Memorial weekend. But, it wasn’t at all. It. Was. Perfect.

Inside of the house was clean and kitchen was well equipped. Bathroom was extremely small and tub did not drain well. Notes in book showed previous customer had the same issue. I did message owner and he responded he did not know about it and would take care of it after we left. Boat parking was very tight for an 18 ft. deep V boat. Unable to use the boat launch listed as it was all gravel into the lake at a 60 degree angle with no ramp or dock. Outside of property could use up keeping and several cabins nearby were very sketchy. We were able to use a good boat launch about 25 minutes away.

Enjoyed being here and we are return guests. Everything was clean and have everything we needed. Bed was comfortable and sheets soft. Enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch watching the lake. Thank you for your continued hospitality.

We enjoyed looking out at the lake from the back deck. Actually had a tire blowout upon arrival but a neighbor Dave was very helpful in getting me back on the road. This is a nice place to get away from all the hustle of the city. Plenty of nature & wildlife to see while you’re here. Close to many of the great trails & parks in the State Park area as well.

We loved our little get away. we wanted to go somewhere and relax and do absolutely nothing. It was just what we wanted. We sat on the lovely screened in porch and watched the lake. We definitely want to go back.

Ot was easy to rent this property. Kathy answered a question about the WIFI code very quickly. The lake house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. In fact, it was one of the best as far as kitchen needs. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the back porch sipping coffee each morning. We loved sitting out there and watching the fishermen and other boaters. I highly recommend this property if you need some serious R & R.

I love the cottage itself it’s adorable. The view is gorgeous. Very quiet down there and super nice neighbors. I wish they would clean up the screen on the back porch lots and lots of spiderwebs. They said there was Wi-Fi but there wasn’t any. But I would go back.

The cottage was cozy. The furniture was limpy amd could fill the springs. The bed was horrible amd held up by a can so when we moved it fell. Location and view were beautiful. They claim to have wifi but this was a lie and we were told they were having trouble with connection so it was removed. I would return to the lake but not in this home.

My fiancée and I wanted a place that was cozy and quiet… Carefree Cottage fit the bill. There is plenty to explore in the area… but it was relaxing just sitting on the porch, watching nature and the lake. Definitely check this quaint hideaway
