We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beach cottage and hope to be back in the future. We have family nearby so it was a great landing spot to be near them as well as Beaufort. The grounds are beautiful with meticulous landscaping, and it’s close to Fort Freemont if you like to explore historical sites. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway on the island!

My husband and children and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here at the cottage. It’s close to beach access and the nearby historical fort, all an easy and pleasant walk from the cottage. Roger was communicative and friendly. Would like to book again if we’re in the area.

The tub and garbage disposal didn't work. The beds were uncomfortable and noisy. The property was too far away from civilization.

We arrived after dark and was happy to have lights come on upon arriving. The home is wonderfully furnished. Was really like being home away from home. Beach cottage is a misnomer... more like mini-mansion. Will stay here again in a heartbeat! A thousand THANK YOUS to the owner.

This was the perfect house for our annual shrimp season reunion. Bigger then it looks, very comfortable accommodations, and huge yard for a boat. Will stay again next year if available. Thank you to the owners

We really enjoyed our time at Quiet Cottage. There was plenty of room to enjoy our time together and not feel like we were on top of one another. Will book again when we plan our next trip to the St. Helena Island and Hunting Island.

This property was so perfect for us. We arrived in the dark and had no idea that we were going to wake up to a beautiful private oasis. The property is everything you would expect from a southern beach house - beautiful old trees everywhere and gorgeous flowers all around. The beach was a short walk and on Sunday morning at 8, no one else was there. It was absolutely wonderful!

I just loved the location being private and so quiet. It was very peaceful to sit and listen to the birds sing. Hunting Island north beach was my favorite spot and the beaches are not crowded at all. Just a great place to relax.

The house is well maintained, nicely furnished, and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, as are the bathrooms (including a hairdryer). The road leading to the house is great for walks--you'll find a beach access path along the way. We'd certainly stay here again if we have the opportunity.

Our stay on St. Helena Island
We loved the area. The people are so friendly and the beach at Hunting Island was beautiful! We will be coming back again! The house is convenient to the beach and grocery stores about 15 mins from each. We went and saw the fort and mainly spent time at the beach. The house was nice and fit my family perfectly. Thank you for sharing you home with us!

REALLY NICE HOME
Very nice home. Clean, well stocked, bigger than expected. Pros: Nice home, very large, beds good, kitchen nice, included free use of golf cart to go to beach access (beach is only good for views and fishing), 20 minutes from Huntington state park which has a very nice beach. Cons: 1. You CANNOT swim at the house beach. It has rocks, tree stumps and sharp clams. There is also bugs that bite because there is no breeze on the beach. The beach is completely unusable at high tide. It does not exists during high tide. 2. Internet at the house. It is non existent. I was getting speeds of well UNDER 1 MBS the entire trip. It is unusable. Cell service is very week at the house but was still 50 X faster internet than the included satellite internet. 3. Closest restaurants and grocery 10-15 miles from house. Overall if you except the limitations (no beach to swim and no internet) it is a very nice property.

Great private setting for family vacation
Charming cottage in Fort Fremont. Very convenient to Station Creek landing. Yard is very private and big enough to maneuver suv hauling a boat. Whitetail deer visited the yard in the evenings. Internet connectivity is a bit slow. Nice collection of books on fishing the area. Plenty of room in the kitchen and furnished with pots, pans, essentials to cook a family meal.

Peaceful stay
If you are looking for a place to relax, this is it! Such a quiet neighborhood. Owners are great people to work with!
Take time to check out the old fort down the street. They have a nice visitors center open on the weekends. Eat at the Foolish Frog and try the frog water.

Family Beach Trip
We loved our stay! The house was comfortable and cozy, much nicer than expected for the price. The kids loved riding our bikes to watch the sunset each evening. We spent most of the day at Hunting Island State Park hiking and playing on the beach. Boneyard Beach at Hunting Island was awesome!

Beaufort get away
This was our first time in the Beaufort area. This property was clean and the yard was big enough for our boat and our girls to play. The house was neat, clean, and everything we needed for our stay was there. We hope to visit again sometime in the future.

Excellent property, with everything we needed and just a short walk to the beach and to Fort Fremont.

Fishing Trip
Great house for fishing trip with friends. House is very private with great boat parking. Roger (host) was easy to contact and knowledgeable with area and fishing. Boat ramp less than 5 minutes away. We would stay there again if we come back to fish again.

Golf Tournament
I am fascinated by the Lands End area, a little far from our golf on Fripp. Pretty nice for two 80 year old golfers. My 20th year in the tournament. The house was what you said it would be.....no complaints from us, we enjoyed it.

Peaceful get away
The property was exactly as described online. Roger was most helpful with any questions I had prior to the visit. Home was furnished well with a lot of extras to ensure our stay went well.
Would recommend this property.

Secret Hideaway
We had a wonderful time. Fort Fremont was a short walk and a fun place to explore. We walked to the beach almost everyday for the sunset, which never disappointed!
The enclosed porch/sun room was a great place to relax and enjoy the day!

Comfortable cottage
Extremely quiet. It is off the beaten path, being 20 minutes from Beaufort, but exactly what we wanted. I loved the Sunroom.
Has a nice big yard and very private too. Enjoyed the time there!

Nice place, quiet area, nice cozy deck with new grill
Overall we were very pleased with house. Very responsive owners - exchanged a number of texts and it was obvious they were trying very hard to accommodate us.. House was clean with plenty of living space. The kitchen covers 95% of the basics but missing a few things (still no toaster). If you are a foodie that plans on cooking beyond basics you will likely find it a little short. One personal annoyance was that the internet is a satellite service that will throttle down the bandwidth to almost nothing (mostly in evenings) if the data limit is exceeded. It took me until Thursday to figure out what was going on. We were towards the end of the month so earlier in the month (I guess dependent on the owners billing cycle) may be better. The sports streaming services that I pay for and was planning on using were unusable because of this. This was very frustrating. However, quite a number of channels were provided if you don't plan on streaming.

St. Helena Island
Overall, we had a great experience and time. The house was adequately stocked but missing a few minor things (toaster, water heater) we were hoping for, definitely not a deal breaker. The house has nice appliances and plenty of space. Loved the location in regards to the beach even if we had not the best weather. We would definitely stay here again and recommend the location. The host was very responsive and the descriptions regarding the route to house very helpfully, we had also some trouble with the GPS signal and arrived after the sundown.

We were here for Parris Island USMC graduation
The owner is very nice and the property was super cute. We did however get lost initially getting there. He gave directions from airport but we didn’t realize it wasn’t going to come up on our gps. We got in kind of late - it wasn’t as close to stores and restaurants as we’d like but it was nice. If you don’t have to have everything near by, its great.

Low country adventure
Everything about this house, the host,’s the little extras made our visit very special. We can’t wait to come back and do plan to do so without a doubt! Our kids loved the outside as much as the inside and can’t wait to come back and explore more. Thank you for a wonderful experience 😁
