I recommend it without hesitation.

It's a great place, a great location, and the hosts are very helpful. The room is nice and cozy, it has everything you need. And there are lots of places to eat nearby.

The bathroom needs some additional drainage. The floor outside the shower was always wet.

Okay for a short stay - like if you’re travelling on business. Not that great for tourists.

Check in was very easy which was important since we arrived late at night. Staff was generally quite helpful and professional. There was free bottled water, which was good because as you may expect the tap water isn’t drinkable. There’s a fridge as well as a tiny kitchen area with all you may need on the road, including coffee, sugar, oil, stove, pots and pans. We had good WiFi and the hot water never ran out! It’s close to the main bus station - ADO. Clean towels were provided which were changed once every 5 days. This wouldn’t normally bother us but nothing could dry in that tiny humid room. Smart TV if that’s something you care about.

We stayed in apartment/studio/room 4. It had a single window looking over the little balcony of the ground floor flat so neither we, nor the people downstairs had much privacy. The window is also facing a wall, so there was literally no natural light coming in despite the big window. As there was no sunlight the room was constantly humid and the clothes wouldn’t dry, not even swim suits. Sheets weren’t great in this sort of humid hot room, which you can’t really air out. Some other people have commented about the stairs - yes, there is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage it’s not great, but it’s managable. There was also this open air tub our window overlooked and we saw a girl fill it up just so she can get inside, take a couple of selfies of her legs with a book and empty it. So there is the possibility that you’ll come across that sort of person there.

Kort maar fijn.

Het bed was super comfortabel, heerlijk matras en kingsize. Jammer dat ik er maar één nachtje verbleef en zo laat aankwam, ik kan dus niet zoveel zeggen verder, maar ik had graag een paar nachten erbij geboekt als het niet vol zat.

Het synthetische beddengoed is wat mij betreft een tegenvaller.

Simple but lovely hotel easily reachable from Cancun airport

We had a short but very enjoyable stay at Casa Ikal - it was very simple to get to from the airport and communication about check-in was all very clear and easy, despite us having a late flight. Decor was very cool and was nice to have Netflix! Plenty of coffee shops and cafes nearby.

Secluded yet convenient and an all-around excellent place to stay

My room was large and comfortable and having a kitchenette was a big bonus. The shower was unexpectedly good as were the liquid soap and shampoo. The building felt very secure and is in a quiet neighborhood, though very well placed for the downtown and to catch a bus out to the beaches. Eduardo, the host I conversed with, is smart, upbeat and informative.

El ruido que nos despertó a las 7 de la mañana que arruinó nuestros planes del día y nos dieron otra que quedaba a 20 min caminando terminaba mi día cansada de tanto caminar Y había cafeteras pero sin café ni agua☹️

Overall a great value for money, would recommend for short stays in the city.

The property is well located, yet very calm and quiet at night. The room was fresh with the windows open, we slept well in the big bed and the staff were very attentive. Thank you everyone!

The room we had was a bit smaller than pictured, perhaps it was a different one. It's a small studio that's good for two people, but there isn't much storage space for longer stays.

La déco est mignonne. La literie est confort. C’est relativement propre et malgré le fait qu’on soit loin du centre, il y a des bons petits restau à côté et une supérette (bon restaurant d’Empanadas, super coffeeshop a qqes min à pieds)

C’est très spartiate. Les photos sont particulièrement vendeuse par rapport au niveau de confort. Très très bruyant on se croyait en auberge de jeunesse.

Cute, comfortable, and a great location.

The property was cute and comfortable. There were an abundance of good restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was reasonably quiet, by Latin American standards. The WiFi was fast (24mbps) and reliable. The dispensers with bottled water in the hallways were very convenient, as was the carafe for water in the fridge. I’d gladly book a room here again.

It wasn’t an issue for me, but note that this is a three story building, and stairs are required to reach most of the rooms.

Fijn verblijf in een prachtig schoon appartement, met geweldige douche en heerlijk bed.

Het was schoon, prachtig interieur en alles zag er nieuw uit. Goede locatie! Makkelijk inchecken via codes. Er stonden wat drankjes in de koelkast en je kon drinkwater pakken. De douche was geweldig!

Für eine Nacht okay, wenn man mit dem Bus weiterreist. Preis/Leistung passt nicht für explizit dieses Zimmer.

Gute Lage zur ADO Busstation. Kostenloses Trinkwasser und Erfrischungsgetränke. Nettes Personal. Sauber. Voll ausgestattete Küche. Schöne, warme Dusche.

Wir hatten das Zimmer direkt an der Eingangstür. Sehr hellhörig, immer wenn Gäste ins Hotel kamen, war es sehr laut. Sehr dunkles Zimmer, wie eine Kellerwohnung. Etwas abgewohnt. Umgebung auch eher in die Jahre gekommen.

Easy check-in - excellent place

Exceptionally easy to check in for late arrivals, you receive a code for the main entrance and a code for your room key. I booked this place while in an Uber heading to it, and got in seamlessly. There are 3-4 great restaurants right next door. If you plan on taking the bus to hotel zone, it is a 5 minute walk to the stop. Everything in the place is clean and tidy. It was a shame I couldn’t extend here, they were rightfully sold out.

I did not mind this, but there are steep stairs to get past to get to your room. Do not book if you’re unable to climb stairs.

Probably the best place to stay in Cancun!

This place feels like finding a hidden gem! Tucked away in such a nice part of central, it has not only everything you need but MORE than what you need! Kitchen, outdoor shower, outdoor bath, wonderful facilities! And everything is incredibly easy. For something booked the day of, this place knocked it out of the water! My favorite place in Cancun!

I wish we could have checked in earlier, because I felt like I was missing out.

Cute apartment in a lively neighbourhood

The place is really modern and well designed. A lot of detail was put into making it look beautiful. Instructions on how to enter were clear and the staff was very responsive. They even left refreshments in the apartment which was great after a long day of travelling!

The only negative I can think of is that there is no loft and the stairs are a little narrow.

Good location (close to ADO terminal, convenience store and the road to Hotel Zone). No staff needed to check in. I had an entire kitchen in my room and there were also free drinks in the fridge.

Don't think the room is ever cleaned unless you specifically request it.

Would stay again.

The bed was very firm and comfortable. The AC worked great. Everything was clean. It was a very manageable walk away from the bus station. The complementary drinks in the fridge were a nice touch. It was close to many restaurants. In a quiet street.

The wifi did not work very well for us; at least not well enough to watch videos on the TV or on our devices. There were 3 big steps to get to the bathroom that were not mentioned. For us it wasn’t a problem but I can see it begin a problem for other people.

Perfect

It was our first night in Cancun but we will be back. Everything what you need to beging the trip close by. Nice clean room. Good wifi. Also we arrived very late from the airport but it was not a problem to check in :)
