The site was previously a renowned fishery and guests staying onsite have exclusive fishing rights.

Pendle View Holiday Park has been created with relaxation and leisure as its number one priority.

The site is situated in the pretty village of Barrow, just outside Clitheroe. This idyllic and quiet location is set back and conveniently located just off the A59 meaning that no matter how you travel, the journey is a simple one.

The holiday park is surrounded by open landscapes with panoramic views across the stunning countryside that forms the Ribble Valley. The stunning landscape of Pendle Hill, most famous for its links to the now notorious witch trials of 1612, is within easy reach of the site as is the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which offers ample opportunity for remote walking and cycling away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The ancient market town of Clitheroe is less than a mile away and dates back to Saxon times. Clitheroe boasts a 12th Century Norman Castle that looks down over the town and is said to be the smallest Norman castle in England. Now home to a Museum and 16 acres of landscaped gardens and includes a popular bandstand, children's playground, skate-park and Lancashire's first Labyrinth. The Rose Garden also features quirky metal and limestone sculptures.

Sporting fans might want to enjoy a day at Clitheroe Golf Club, one of the country's best inland courses. Clitheroe is well known for its plethora of specialist shops. Award-winning Byrnes Wine Shop is famous for its enormous underground cellar bursting with unusual vintages from all over the world. Cowman’s Famous Sausage Shop sells more than 75 sausage varieties while the Exchange Coffee Company stocks more than 35 coffees and 60 specialist teas.

The charming village of Whalley, filled with historic buildings, cafes and restaurants and many successful independent shops, is less than a mile away, perched on the edge of the River Calder and hosts the stunning ancient ruins of Whalley Abbey, a14th century Cistercian abbey.

Lying equidistant, a 30-minute journey will take you to the city of Preston in one direction and the historic town of Skipton and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park in the other and within the hour you could visit the Lake District or the Fylde Coast including Blackpool and Lytham St. Annes.

Local amenities, which are literally over the road across the A59, include numerous eateries, a petrol station and Co-Op supermarket for necessary provisions.
