Jetty Rd is 8 minutes walk away. The Jetty Road precinct is full of excellent cafes and restaurants as well established pubs, pool halls, function centre's like the Grand Hotel. The Glenelg beach and promenade area is clean, beautiful and a fantastic place to visit. It is also a 10 minute drive to the largest suburban shopping centre in Adelaide. Glenelg Golf Club is close also.
The city tram (30mins) is only a 8 min walk away on Jetty Rd. Buses are also available to city and metropolitan areas, also bus to the Aquatic Centre is easy.
Very suitable for children due to pool fence, because there is a pool it is better the children can swim (or is still a toddler and not crawling). It is a wonderful place in summer for children who can swim, the pool is great when the weather is warmer (December to mid March). The kids will love it.
Welcome to Maturin Road Manor - 19 Maturin Road, Glenelg. Any worries or questions or if something doesn’t work or gets broken just call or text.
No smoking inside thanks.
House Rules: A strict 10pm curfew for being outside out the back. They have children so if you could not make any noise outside after 10pm they would really appreciate it. Also no loud swearing/bad language or music outside out the back anytime, thanks. Music and fun until as late as you like inside with the back door shut, no worries of course.
Don't park on the footpath opposite the house, follow the parking rules of only on the house side of the road.
The pool fence and is part of the pool safety.
The air-conditioning / heating control is next to the upstairs main bathroom door. Please turn it off if you are leaving the house. If you are downstairs flick the lounge room and kitchen switches on so you can see the orange dot. If you are upstairs and if you need it to sleep, flick the lounge and kitchen off and turn the 3 bedrooms on. The 3 bedroom switches does the 5 bedrooms upstairs. If there is a cool breeze the house can cool down and freshen up, open all the windows upstairs and get the cool breeze through, but good to close them before dark to avoid mosquitoes.
Light and fan switches for the bedrooms are either on the wall or on remotes – the main switch needs to be on to activate the fan and light. The ceiling fans work really well overnight for cooling, generally low or medium works better than high.
Turn the oven setting knob on first, it goes to the fan setting at 5 o clock on the dial and then the temperature knob, more temperature the better. If there has been a power interruption the oven time needs to be re-set for it to operate. If you still can’t turn it on you may need to press all 5 buttons at once and hold down for a few seconds and then set the time on any time and the oven should then turn on. The stove works well. Please ensure all knobs are pointing up when you are finished so no gas leaks.
Please set the dishwasher on departure if you have dishes in it. The dishwasher tablets are under the sink, they go in their plastic into the little spot and close the top. To turn it on turn the power on the left on, then hit P (for program) until it is on plates sign in the middle and then hold the on/play button down for a moment to turn it on.
Other safety issues are keep children supervised on the front balcony and the low far bedroom window upstairs so open it only a little. No children on the back balcony. Everybody could take care getting in and out of the bath/shower in the upstairs second bathroom.
The washing machine works well and you are welcome to use it. Ensure the adjacent basin is empty and clear of obstructions, the hose is in, that's where the water goes.
The two BBQ's are there for your use. The first one is electric. Plug the power in the power point under the carport. The other is gas and is new. Please turn the gas off on the bottle after you have used it.
The new HD 70" smart TV is great.
The TV in bedroom 7 / poolroom needs to be turned on and off at the small power switch on the RHS on the top of the TV. Then the remote control can be used.
Toilet Paper only in the toilets and no serviettes, paper towels, other items etc down the toilets. Also the two upstairs bathrooms have fans for use them during showers.
There is an iron and ironing board in the cupboard next to the front door. Good to turn the iron off and unplug it after use.
Very occasionally there may be a power interruption, go to the laundry tall cupboard and open the fuse box and just check that all the switches are flicked up. If any are down just flick them up and that may fix any problems (eg hot water, oven, lights, air conditioner).
If you are drinking outside by the pool please use the nice plastic cups provided. This is to make sure the pool stays clear of glass. (I know it is not as good as drinking out of glass).
If anything does break or go wrong, no worries, please let me know so I can fix it up. The bin night is Wednesday night, the bins are under the carport, the red bin is household rubbish and the yellow bin is recycle . Pop your bottles and cans in the grey bin.
When you leave make sure you have all your stuff, air conditioner, oven, gas, lights have all been turned off. We will wash the sheets and towels, so you can leave the beds you have used unmade (no need to strip them) and leave the towels in a pile(s) on the laundry or one of the bathrooms floor.
If you enjoy the place please come back again, tell as many friends as you like and if you could leave a nice review that would be much appreciated. Remember any worries, call anytime. We also have a smaller townhouse which sleeps 6 people and is 5 doors from Glenelg beach.
Enjoy your stay at Maturin Road Manor and thanks very much for coming.

The host Darin met us on arrival, and he could have not been more helpful throughout our stay. The property was beautiful and spacious. It was perfect for our group as there were beds downstairs as well as upstairs which was perfect as there were some with mobility issues. The pool area was stunning. The property was very clean and comfortable. The area was quiet and peaceful and only a short walk into the heart of Glenelg. We look forward to staying again.

This lovely old home provided a perfect setting for our family reunion. There was room enough for everyone to have their own private space and space to come together. The home was also very well equipped with all the modern conveniences to make our stay smooth and comfortable. Our host, Darin, was super and even heated the pool up just before we arrived to ensure we could swim despite the weather cooling down. The beach, cafes and shops were all a short stroll away and we were able to explore Glenelg at our leisure. All in all, it felt like a home away from home and will have wonderful memories of our time together here.

House was clean and pool was extremely well maintained!
We are already discussing coming back next year!
