The room was filthy, the bed was covered in bugs, and the stains were disgusting. No answer from the number which is online, to then have my number blocked, re rang on my partners phone, for the to answer and get told to go away.
We had literal mites on the bed, between the sheets and on the mattress. We didn’t end up staying here and had to book into another hotel. We was then refused a refund and told “our booking was cancelled” which we didn’t stay either way, but a refund for how dirty the beds were and room, wouldn’t have gone a miss. We are on with booking.com for a refund

Location to the centre
We weren’t informed there was someone staying in our room and was located another room. There was no milk for tea or coffee and no waste bin in the room. The toilet, which was next to the room had a problem with the flush and was constantly trying to fill.

The room was filthy, we were moved in the middle of the night to another property. Being directed in the dark through a strange city. The apartment we were eventually put in was fine but the whole experience was completely unacceptable.
Filthy room, bags of rubbish, bed not made.
2.8
The fact that the room had not been cleaned and that we were unable to contact anyone we had to pay to stay at another venue
2.8
Good value for money
Fix the door so the slamming doesn't disturb the front room by the door
2.8
Good location, good communal kitchen
TV in room broken, shared bathroom very shabby and dirty, window pane that doesn’t insulate from street noises (lots of cars and people passing by) at all

spacious, great location and decent price.
TV was broken, screen cracked and I couldn’t use it.
Another guest had peed all over the shared bathroom floor and toilet seat.
I would visit again but book a room with an en suite.

Nothing
No ensuite, small grubby room and we didn't end up staying as it was not as advertised.
2.8
No bathroom and toilet in the room, bed wasn't comfortable, the room was very cold when arrived.

The self catering kitchen area was clean. The bedding and towels were clean. It was in a good location for where I needed to be the following day.
The room was very noisy as it looked straight out onto busy main road. Bedside light and TV didn't work. Microwave difficult to use as there was no turntable plate in it. The front door lock needs securing in the door properly as it was falling out.

I never leave negative reviews but I feel like I need to for this property. When I arrived my room was messy from the previous guest and there were no staff at the property. I called the number several times and they never answered. They replied to my text message and told me the code for another room. I tried this code and walked in on a man in bed. This shows they have no idea who is staying in what rooms. Eventually I had to make my bed and clean the room myself. The bed was heavily stained, the lamp was broken, the room had no ventilation, there was only one window that if opened was on the Main Street. The front door was unlocked or left open every time I checked during my stay and the back door was never locked so anyone that climbed into the back yard could enter the building. The pillows were old and the sheets didn’t fit the bed properly. Honestly, I never leave bad reviews but so much was wrong with the property and it needs to be said. I hope for some kind of refund because this was such a mess compared to the price.

Clean, cozy, great location, nice facilities
Bedroom 1 was right on the street level on a busy highway so was loud even at night

Good evening Fran.
Thank you very much for the help on the digs.
Sadly and I do mean very sadly we and any of your other gusets had to deal with an ongoing highly abusive arguement between the couple who were in room #4... to the left of the bathroom door.
It started in the mid to late aft and was still in full swing at 2am with very loud and continuous swearing bouts and loads of highly physical thrashing going on. The fight then spilled out into the rest of the house at that point with any and all doors being slammed and the woman being thrown down the stairs. Loads more abuse continued from both partners until my poor missus couldn't get to sleep for the rest of the night what with worrying about the woman being mentally and physically abused. Having no reference to the couple at all we were both to concerned to get involved... I assume there was heavy alcohol and or drug abuse involved.
We tried contacting the police but to no effect. It must have been after 3am when the couple ran out of energy and expletives.
Now then, to the matter at hand. As much as I don't wish to, I would like you to consider compensation for the night of discord. I'll let you get back to me with your thoughts on the matter.
Many thanks on an otherwise excellent stay... I would love to recommend you if we can resolve this issue.
Cheers
Jonathan

nothing.
the room was badly laid out. the sound of traffic from the main road was constant, utterly un-sound insulated. despite being a ground floor window onto the street there was only a cheap blind so anyone could (and did) look in. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and the kitchen fridge stank of something unholy. oh, yeah, and the bed collapsed.

Great location for the LMF events, pubs and restaurants. Spotlessly clean and well serviced. Only one downside was the busy road out side our room, but what the heck, you can't do anything about that and for one night, it's fine.

Location
Well equipped kitchen
Cleanliness
Bedroom1 was right on street frontage to very very noisy road, and strong street light. Prior warning of this needs to be included for ear plugs and eye mask to be brought by the occupant.

The property was nicely decorated and pleasant. Shared bathroom and kitchen area. Good location.
Rooms had a kettle, tea and coffee. Good internet connection.
Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Nothing awful, I don’t usually share.

Location good , comfy bed .
Window cill in room was dirty.

Good location and comfy bed
No towels or toilet roll. Room was really hot and couldn't open the window. The TV was in a really strange place and we had to move furniture to watch it. Was extremely dusty. Walls are very thin.
2.8
Comfy bed
No towels. Very noisy as ground floor room right on the roadside. Windows did not block traffic noise so awake from 5.30.
2.8
Nothing
Poor noisy room with very little appeal, for a price similar to a hotel room this was like a student hostel
2.8
The fact that the police came too other residence arguing till 4am

We now have to share the same keys to enter the building which has become problematic when other guests accidentally forget to return the key to the safe.
One room had a lamp and kettle but no actual plug apart from behind the television.
Communal toilets kept running out of toilet paper and not being replaced

Brilliant washing machine and drier help clean and dry my cycling gear for the next day.
Near to Sainsbury's and places to eat. The Borough near Queen Victoria statue has excellent food.
Some guests made a lot of noise about midnight but Steve who is a long terms resident spoke to them.
The cleaners forgot to supply toilet paper in the one bathroom. Stephen supplied kitchen roll for us to use. A water glass in the bedroom would be helpful.

There is no breakfast on offer. This hotel is self service with communal kitchen with all amenities. I enjoy the privacy and the relaxed environment. The owners are wonderful. They always ensure your needs are met. EXCELLENT. I highly recommend N0 28 Thurnham Street.
A door bell to assist delivery for my personal requirements as I am staying long term after my return from living abroad. However the front door is secure and heavy and is very difficult to hear any knocking as in deliveries from Royal Mail or DHL. I have missed a couple of deliveries. My second comment is regarding a suggestion rather than a criticism. I would have liked to have to option of a small safe in my room as you often find in larger hotels. I feel that it would add a great comfort although the rooms are very secure. That is my only observation as it is very difficult to find any fault with the quality off my room or indeed otherwise. The ladies who clean are polite and jovial, they work hard and are always ready to assist any guest if need be.
