Pésimo lugar

Nos cobraron de más, al llegar tuvimos que esperar una hora para que nos abrieran, no contestaban las llamadas ni los mensajes, no nos enviaron a tiempo la contraseña para ingresar y nosotros afuera del lugar con una chiquita en la calle

It was pleasant overall.

We didn't get breakfast. The garden was very pretty, the staff was friendly, the building was clean and private

It was hard to find the location because the address sign was not visible enough. It was kind of far from downtown

No volvería...

Que era una casa bonita.

Nos cobraron mas del precio que nos dijeron (impuestos y cargos lo normal) pero aparte de eso nos cobraron más y no nos solucionaron nada. No hay una persona que nos reciba, ni siquiera por teléfono, me dejaron en visto en varias ocasiones y no atendieron las llamadas. Muy oscuro por las noches, las luces del pasillo no encienden, mucho ruido de carros, personas y otras cosas que no entendimos de donde venían. Las camas en mal estado, se necesitan nuevos colchones, las almohadas sucias.

El espacio abierto y lo fresco del lugar

El baño no tenia ventilación y daba mal olor deben mejorar eso, las camas estaban algo duras y necesitan un letrero más grande para dar con el lugar ya que nos costó un poco ubicarlos

Cramped room with no amenities, stressful check-in process, uncomfortble bed.

The location was ok, albeit quite far from the center. The kitchen are was well-equipped.

The space looks nothing like what is represented in the pictures. Our room was so small we barely had room to move around, the most basic of amenities were missing (fan, soap, storage space, places to hang things) and the bed was very uncomfortable. The check-in process was confusing - we'd been sent a number of different codes, and it took us around half an hour to figure out which ones were correct and for what do - and the entrance was very poorly marked. We saw no staff during our stay and no one picked up when we tried to call. Overall, the experience was quite disappointing.

My hat was stolen in this place

My very special vintage mexican hat with mexican braided belt and macaw feathers was stolen here. The woman said i could check the cameras and then she ignored my calls. When I was able to get a hold of her she said that I needed to wait a day so that they request the footage. And it has been 3 days and she has not reached out. Furthermore, i am getting no answer when I call yesterday and today. This has never happened in any other hotel.

This is not a hotel.

Beware. This is not a hotel! There is no reception, no hotel sign outside in the street, there is nobody inside, and no doorbell (there actually is a doorbell, but it doesn't work). For the same reason, there is no way you can get any tourist information or guidance, and you cannot leave baggage kept for a while since there is no staff. Since there is no reception, you must be extremely careful about the information you get regarding passwords to get into the building and into your room. We were expecting a hotel, and thus a reception. Since there was none, we had not taken a note of such passwords, etc., thus we couldn't get in. Fortunately it was daytime, otherwise we would have had to search for another (real) hotel, despite having paid for this place in advance. We were fortunate to connect to the wifi of (ironically) a hotel nearby, where we tried contacting our "hotel" via Whatsapp, but there was no reply (they weren't even "online"). In the end, we were able to retrieve the information about passwords and finally get in, after a lot of time and stress. The room was very dark. No toiletries, except for liquid soap in the shower. The shower drainage was terribly slow, thus the second person taking a shower had to deal with a pool 3 cm deep of used soapy water. The toilet sometimes worked, sometimes it didn't. The bathroom needs plumbing work. It smells of sewage and you must keep the door closed at all times. Since there isn't a soul at the "hotel," there is no way you can get another room.

Bad

It was raining very hard last night and the roof leaked water. I contacted the owner thru whatsapp, messages thru email and no respond. Water was coming from the roof and front door. I had to place 3 towels on the floor to soak up the water. I also messaged booking.com, 24 hrs to get an answer is pretty bad in this instance. No receptionist. No support, once you book and pay, you are on your own. It's cheap, but not worth it.

Little Oasis

We felt really safe in the hotel as you have to put a code into the main door. Once you're in, it's like a little oasis.

As the hotel is located next to two busy roads it was really loud at night. Earplugs helped tho! Somewhere to hang Our towels would be nice. The kitchen didn't come with any basic ingredients, only salt

Fantastic garden. Lots of outside space and seating. Large well equipped kitchen. Friendly and helpful staff. Large comfortable room

such a comfortable room and bed! lovely place, wish we had stayed longer! spacious room, hot water, plenty of blankets to keep us warm in the evening. easy combination access, 10 minute walk from the main square.

very nice place to visit Antigua for some time

-safe area -big kitchen with adequate facilities -washing machine -big beautiful garden -mini kiosk for water and stuff in the next building -very clean -pet friendly (if you have) -local food wagons close by

-they charge extra 5% when you pay with card and it’s not mentioned on the page. they will send a message after, that if you want you can pay cash and not get that extra 5%. -there is no reception or anyone except the cleaning staff, everything works with measages and codes -no refill water -15 min walk to the center, if you don’t like walking -pet friendly. this means if a guest has a dog you hear the barking -mattresses are not so comfortable

Great value! So glad we found it!

Our stay was very positive. We especially appreciated the fact that we could stay with our two puppies, we had kitchen facilities to do our own cooking, and the staff was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating with us. Although this hostel is on a busy street, the colonial architecture isolates you from the sounds outside, so traffic noise is not a problem. The place is very comfortable and very beautiful. Both the indoor and outdoor gardens made our stay special. It´s easy to take a tuk tuk to Antigua´s central park or walk there in less than 15 minutes. We are coming back in a few days!

Could be better

Bathroom was nice, clean and spacious. Easy access to room and check out. The bed was comfortable.

The room had a damp smell, we both woke up with sore throats and felt ill for the next couple days. Internet only worked in the common area. No drinking water available
