Handy to ring Road and local amenities

Nice big spacious rooms. Lovely garden. Parking for 2 cars. Pub/restaurant and big Co Op within walking distance.

Downstairs shower needs some heating. The room was too cold so we didn’t use it. we couldn’t face it.

very comfortable and great standard of decor

very spacious and comfortable . Good size fridge and nice touch to have ice in the freezer

Exceptional

The property was spotless, comfortable and spacious yet cozy and warm, it's very well appointed and has everything you could possibly need, a real home from home. It is in a great location for visiting York centre and Castle Howard. We will definitely book again when we visit York.

We are a party of four very fussy ladies and could not find any fault at all.

We really enjoyed our stay here & would definitely book to stay here again!!

We were really pleased with our accommodation, easy check in, exceptionally clean, comfortable lounge, lovely shower, bed were comfy & there is lovely outside space which you could use on a nice day - this really felt like a home from home. Also great parking and easy access by bus to city centre which are regular every 20 minutes.

There really aren’t a lot of negatives. It is on quite a busy road so traffic at night/early morning might bother some people. It did take me a while to work the cooker out but was fine once it clicked!!

Very good

The house was fine and perfectly adequate for what we needed. We used it as a base whilst visiting family and popping into York Town centre and attractions. We didn't spend much time in the house but it was very clean and comfortable so we could have done if we needed too.

There was no blind at the bathroom window and although the glass was frosted on the window you could be seen quite clearly from the street.

Great location and Crocus cottage was very clean. Comfy beds and there was everything we needed. We will definately be booking another stay. The hotel across the street was very well situated for food and there was plenty of choices. Very pleased with our stay.

Fantastic stay in a great location!

Very comfortable, felt like a home from home. Nice and clean, easy check-in and out and great location for the motorway and bus into York.

A small amount of chipped paint and cracks in need of repair.

Excellent, would stay there again.

We liked everything about the place. Easy location to walk into the city centre or to the University, as well as being right on the bus route. The house was clean and comfortable. Lovely back garden to sit and relax. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms had lots of closet / storage space. Close to grocery store (Co-op).

Could you extra tea towels (there was only one) and a full size dust pan and broom. No washer / dryer, which would be helpful for longer stays.

Despite what I have said I didn't like we enjoyed our stay and would use Crocus Cottage again.

Great location for the city. Smart modern property with lots of space. Garden seating good for fine weather. Despite what I say in the next section we loved our stay and enjoyed this property.

It would be wrong not to mention the following as other might think I glossed over the cracks! Outside door to the side of the property extremely dilapidated and not secure no access to property but an eyesore. Also a small window at the rear into the small outhouse needs to be sorted/painted or replaced. The large obscured window in the bathroom would benefit from having a roller blind for added modesty for the users. A great shame that there is only one WC. Although the property is in a built up area with a 30mph limit after dark you wouldn't know it.

Excellent location, paid the extra cost to be central to what we needed

Great central location,. Amenities good even provided fans which was great in the heat, lovely garden, everything we needed

No gate which left us nervous with our little girl. In the garden and being able to gain access to the front Very busy road which could hear traffic noise in front bedroom but nothing in back
