Easy to get hold of hosts. Very clean and cosy. Everything you need for a short stay. Location from Alton towers and large food shops was great. Great central heating and comfy beds. Good sized kitchen that was well equipped. Great sized master bedroom. Very helpful having 2 TVs. Parking was easy. Local pubs looked good, but we didn't have time to go in them. Would happily stay again for a few nights.
Small things, but... The windows of the kitchen, lounge and main bedroom are very over looked by the cafe and courtyard. It was very quiet so not a major problem but some nets or privacy window screening would be fab. Sofas in the lounge are very small and not overly comfy and the front door is very tricky to lock!

Wonderful property in a quaint village. Perfect for our family (including dogs). Attached to a wonderful cafe (Antler’s), perfect for morning coffee and breakfast.

Buttercross Cottage is a charming old cottage thoughtfully equipped for a very comfortable holiday. Located in a beautiful village with lots of walks and eating out places on the doorstep. Genuinely dog friendly, a very well equipped kitchen, great bathroom, comfy beds and the private little courtyard off the sitting room much appreciated during the summer weather.
Nothing - all fine for us.

We loved the whole village and location of the cottage.
Whilst I can’t say I didn’t like it - the parking was not ideal.

It was very nice, spacious and had everything we needed.
Kitchen area was a little cold.
