Fantastic weekend with fantastic weather. Perfect spot for a large group. It feels remote, but grocery stores and restaurants aren’t too far away.

It was wonderful to have seating opportunities on three sides of the house so could avoid the sun. Kayaks and paddle boards much appreciated. Good supplies of dishes. Some of the mattresses starting to show some age.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Everything was just as listed.

Beautiful location with so many amenities. We had ages 18 months to 65 and there was something for everyone. Would definitely stay again.

One of the best kept, clean properties I’ve rented. The property manager was very quick to respond to questions and resolved any issues we had. There was an issue with some of the sliding glass doors not sliding well, and they took care of that. I can’t say enough about how well this property is kept, maintained and had everything we needed in the way of kitchen utensils, towels, etc. So nice that the laundry room is off the garage and on the main floor.
The lawn was being mowed and cared for as we arrived. A plus is also how close it is to all the necessities within a short driving distance.
So great that we will be back next year for our annual family lake vacation!

Our family loves the property! It’s private and isolated but also close to all conveniences.

This property is even more amazing than the pictures give credit. The house was lovely and clean, but it's really the outside that makes this place. Beautiful, quiet, great water access, lovely outside seating all over the place. A bald eagle comes to fish most days. We didn't want to leave.
The host was very responsive when we had an issue (the power went out suddenly while we were there; it was a small area around us and was restored very quickly) and very kind.

The property is even nicer than the pics. Absolutely beautiful location. Lots of amenities and activities to keep everyone happily occupied! The grandkids learned how to kayak and paddleboard and was hard to keep them out of the beautiful lake. Priscilla, property manager, was extremely friendly and accommodating. Kids and grandkids want to make this an annual trip, so we will be back !!!

The reason for 4 stars is because the refrigerator in the kitchen would not make ice. Before the repair man came it was making aboout 10 cubes/12 hours! After he came 0 cubes. The 2 level dock is in terrible condition and had broken glass on the top level. We felt as a family the dock should be replaced with a new one and the house could use an ice machine.

This spacious home provided a beautiful setting for a fabulous family vacation. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards, dock with rented boat, multiple sitting areas with plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy sunset. It had enough beds for our group of 10 adults and 5 teens. The area offered plenty of hiking opportunities along with rafting and ziplining.

Our family meets up every summer in different houses around this extended area with the requirement that it is in the mountains and on/near the water. We have done this for 10+ years and never stayed in the same house twice. This is one we would rent again! Many of us said it was the best one yet. The location was wonderful and access to the lake very accessible for my elderly parents. Priscilla the property manager was very helpful and accommodating. The younger kids loved the indoor pool, which kept them nice and contained while the older kids loved swimming off the dock and using the kayaks and SUP’s. Our only suggestions to make it better are to turn one of the huge closets (they are REALLY large in 3 of the rooms) into another bunk room and or add a Murphy bed in the office instead of the pullout (which we didn’t use) so those spaces could be utilized more. It’s a large beautiful house with lots of space for everyone and lots of flat grassy areas for the kids to play. We were a little surprised to see that the week after we rented it the price listed was almost half of what we paid so make sure to check price differences week to week. We booked a year in advance and would have pushed it back a week if we were aware of that. Overall a great place and experience though. Would highly recommend!

Lake Haven met or surpassed all expectations. The location was perfect for a private family get together with easy access to all needed amenities and activities. Chatuge Lake was amazing for its cleanliness, beauty and easy access and navigation. My family was very pleased with the hame and lake combination.

We rented the house to bring our children and grandchildren together for our 50th Wedding Anniversary, and we could not have found a better spot. Good weather? We'd go outside and on the lake. Bad weather? We'd stay inside and in the pool, watching movies, playing games. In short - lots to do in an open, gorgeously scenic environment. We are looking forward to returning!

My husband and I decided to have a quick 3 day get a way with our adult children and grandchildren. We absolutely loved this property! We will definitely be back! It was so well equipped and stocked that we left 1/2 of what we packed in the car. (Toys for pool, crock pots, extra trash bags, paper towels and so on). The pool was such a great form of entertainment for everyone! We loved how you could be in the kitchen cooking, or in the living room and still see everyone at the pool. The property manager was also great! She was so quick to answer any questions we had - and even allowed us to add our dog the day before check in. Can’t wait to book our next stay!

What a great reunion. The house was what we expected except for a few minor and one not so minor thing. With six bedrooms and six baths it was sufficient space for our family reunion of 12 adults and three children. The pool being in the center of the house added more space and fun and great for the kids . We had an issue with the temperature of the pool but the host, Priscilla , came out immediately to correct the issue. Unfortunately, the pool temperature did not heat up as expected and she sent a pool maintenance company the next day. We were able to have a nice warmer temp in the pool on the third and last night. We had easy entry and exit with passcodes and the house offered a great ping pong table, foozball table and major standing chess set. Suggestions.... bring your own bath soap, bring some extra blankets if it’s the cooler time of year. Also, very disappointed that the Master bedroom did not have a TV. All other bedrooms did. We brought our own cornhole set and there was adequate space by the pool to play indoors. The outdoor hot tub as nice also. We had great fun. Would highly recommend , taking note of the few tweaks I mentioned !

Great New Years
We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds. Very clean. Very relaxing weekend. Gave location 4 stars just because we like a little more to do than Hiawassee/Helen had to offer.

Great Christmas Vacation
My family choose this location for our yearly Christmas vacation and it did not disappoint. The house is beautiful and accommodated our large group of 16 perfectly. My favorite part of the house is being able to see the pool from the kitchen/living area. They had a tree up and the house smelled fresh and was clean upon arrival. The only little issue we had was with the pool. I think the chemicals were a little high. I did report and she offered to send someone out but the pool wasn't utilized as much as I thought it would be. The ping pong table was a big hit with everyone. All of the rooms were extremely roomy and the down stairs beds were all said to be very comfortable. I loved the kitchen space as you could have several people in there without it feeling cramped. It was well stocked with everything from pots & pans to some seasonings, trash bags, coffee filters which was nice ever though we brought our own. The view was amazing and I could only imagine how beautiful it is during the summer months when the lake is up. We visited the local Ingles and it was very nice and well stocked. We also had pizza delivered which was great. Overall we had a great Christmas Vacation and I'm thankful to have had this home available to our family.

Beautiful Home That Needs Repair
We enjoyed a wonderful family reunion at this home during the peak season of fall. Location wise, it is perfectly situated on a beautiful peninsula, is steps away from downtown Hiawasee, and a convenient drive to Helen. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our family of 16, we were also quite entertained by features such as the fire pit and game room. Moving forward for future tenants, this house is in need of several large scale renovations to preserve it's originally intended beauty and functionality. The indoor pool, a major selling feature, was not properly maintained and had significant algae, debris and bugs in the water. The sliding doors to the patio are in need of replacement .Overall, this house has five-star potential if the owner can ensure that these renovation needs are met.

Tons to do. Great house. Great location.

Incredible scenery, house, and property!
Our crew absolutely loved the house, the view, and the property around the home. The deck made it so easy to enjoy the lake and the huge private yard was great for lounging and playing games. The beds were very comfortable (could use better pillows). The kitchen is great for large groups. There was a high chair for babies which was great for our group. We appreciated the extra fridge in laundry room for our large group. The lake is so lovely.
The pool did seem to need a bit of extra cleaning and the sliding doors seem to need some updates - super hard to open.
Overall we had a great experience

Fun for everyone!
Our family stayed for a week in August. We were pleased with the house and all the conveniences that were available. Beautiful house but the real star of the stay was the grounds and lake. The kids and adults enjoyed the dock, kayaks, fire pit and were outside having fun most of the time. I have already recommended the property to a few friends and my entire family wants to come back again!

Peace..relaxation...and loads of fun !!!!
Lake Haven is an older house that could use a little work but my children and grandchildren had a fantastic time. Well worth the extra money for the water toys. Used them every day. Sunsets were beautiful.

Turner 2021 Family Vacation
Location was amazing house was plenty big enough. If I just had to have a complaint which isn’t that big of a issue. Is that they need to update the pots and pans. Our family has been doing a week vacation for the past 8 years and this house was the first one to give us more room than we really needed. We had a great time!! Will rent again next year for sure !!

60th wedding anniversary on the lake, great time
We celebrated our parent's 60th wedding anniversary with the family. Lake Haven provided a wonderful venue for the celebration. We all enjoyed the house and the location on the lake was very nice, great view. We made good use of the water craft, the outdoor sitting areas, hot tub, and fire pit. This was our first visit to Chatuge Lake, hope to visit again in the future.

This was a great property for a family full of people of all ages. With the property being semi secluded, the parents felt free to let the kids roam a bit. The house is comfortable and very inviting to just kick back and relax.

Above and Beyond
My husband, daughter, future son-in-law and I searched for the perfect place to host our daughter's wedding, and we found it! Lake Haven is an amazing house and such a beautiful piece of property. Priscilla was easy to work with and very helpful. The scenery around the house is just stunning It was so convenient to have our whole family stay in the house. The grounds outside, with the mountains and lake, were a perfect setting for a wedding. The next day we were able to hang out and spend time with family and friends. Our guests were able to swim, play ping pong, foosball, cornhole(we brought our own), fish, kayak and cook s'mores by the fire pit. Everyone was trying to figure out when they could return to this fabulous place. We hope to return in the near future to enjoy this unique property.
