We really enjoyed our stay, the house was as described & really enjoyed the hot tub on the cold nights. The house is perfect for huge families . We enjoy walking down to the water with our dogs & them going swimming. No fish it was to cold but my sister did try fishing when it got up to high 50's. The owner responded right away when we needed to ask a question. Our only thing we would say to the owners, tvs in bedrooms would be great when ready to go relax in bed. But besides that everything was perfect.

Our week here was amazing. The house was perfect for our family and friends. The Lake was the Star and the convenience of having a boat dock for our use was priceless. We spent a majority of our time on the dock swimming, listening to music and fishing. We took the boat out for numerous rides, some tubing and of course some fishing. Our dogs lived their best life being able to run around the ample property and swim at will.
We will most definitely rent again.
Perfect.

House was perfect for our family of 8 with 6 adults, a 10 year old and an 11 month old. House has everything. Views were beautiful. Fire pit was perfect in the evenings. Played lots of yard games. Rented a pontoon and had a blast tubing (house has a tube). The storage closet on the dock is full of lake fun tresures including fishing poles and tackle, lake mat, stereo, refrigerator, life vests...and so much more. This really is the perfect lake house for a family or just a couple that wants to get away. Quiet cove too. Owner was so great to deal with and commucated expectations we sgould have very clearly. 5 Stars all the way around!!!

So much to be thankful for at this property! We were a group of 6 adults and some fur babies. We were able to enjoy lake views together and had plenty of space to have some alone time too! We caught a few fish, lit the firepit for S'mores and were able to cook a full Thanksgiving meal...turkey and all. Everything we needed was there. Plenty of cookware, plates and places to store leftovers! Definitely the type of place where wonderful memories are made!

Our group really enjoyed this property. The house had plenty of room for our group to spread out with a floor for each family. The house and kitchen had everything we needed. We brought our own kayaks and spent time on the lake every day. We had a great vacation at this house.

A great house and neighborhood. Loved that dogs were allowed! We have been checking out Gaston as a potential retirement spot but never stayed on this end of the lake. It is a bit shallow but once you learn the water and get to Mike market 21 it’s all good and actually nice because of the minimal boat traffic.
Linda was great, easy to communicate with and very responsive to a couple of minor issues with the house.
Great time!!

Wonderful Home
This house and property is amazing. The house was very well maintained, clean and put together.
The pros:
Ample sleeping area - (we had 4 families with plenty of room) the home is situated in such a way that you can have a family on each floor which was very nice.
Outside area - Plenty of space to do activities of all sorts, the yard is more like a football field. Very nice fire pit area and sitting area around the house.
Dock - Dock is nice with two floors and two boat slips (one is used by owners boat) and a jet ski lift. The dock is lighted and the kids enjoyed fishing at all hours.
Parking - Plenty of room to park, as stated we had 4 families which equated to 5 vehicles and we could have fit another 5 vehicles.
Amenities - House was well stocked with all the common appliances, utensils etc.
Management Responsiveness - POC's were easy to communicate with and allowed us early access after arriving a little early which was very helpful and convenient.
The cons:
Location on the lake - It would have been very helpful to know and understand the water conditions this home is on. After ruining 2 brass props at $950.00 dollars a piece and multiple conversations with locals we discovered this area is considered the "flats" and is very shallow with an average depth of 4' of water with an overzealous amount of stumps. There is a home made dredge near the bridge but traversing this area in a V Drive is a recipe for disaster. When speaking with the locals they all looked at me like I was insane for even attempting to drop a 100K+ boat in the area at all. We ended up having to tow the boat daily to deeper water on the lake. If you're fishing, have a pontoon, jet ski or inboard/outboard traversing this area is very possible with the appropriate know how. As a visitor this will be difficult. Jet skis and pontoons seem to do just fine in the area as they don't require no where near as much as draft.
Internet: With kids comes the desire for internet, the internet speeds at this house is what you would expect from satellite internet which is lackluster. We were still able to stream shows and movies but do not expect to do much on your cellular devices. This is not a bother to me as I am come to the lake to break away but telling that to a teenager is a different story.
In closing this property was fantastic and despite the water levels; we managed especially considering we brought our jet ski. The entire family had a great time, thank you for sharing!
